Exactly as described/depicted - perfect little oasis along the Snake River. We drive 5-10 minutes up to the Palisades Lake for a swim, as the current along the river was a bit too swift for a leisurely dip. We also got some delicious ribs @ Captain Ron's via his mobile food truck across the street. Overall, beautiful and just what we needed. Thanks again, Carmen!

The pictures of this site are very accurate and the river next to the site is beautiful. Shower was out and although host called me prior to me arriving to tell me, she gave no sort of refund for the lack of amenity nor offered to pay for one across the street. If you're planning to visit the Tetons it's much more convenient to stay elsewhere. You have to cross two very difficult passes each way. We ended up getting a site in the park and taking a loss on the second night.

The scenery of the Snake River is absolutely beautiful! The site is well kept and clean. We needed to retreat into our tent as the sun went down because of the bugs (bring bug spray!). The shower facility was unfortunately out of order on the day we were there, but we were able to use a good shower hut right across in the general store (no extra charge when we mentioned that we are from Carmen's). Quiet and Carmen was easy to reach:)

Carmen's place was just as advertised. We were disappointed that the outdoor shower was out of order but besides that we had a great time camping on the river.

A bit hard to find, at least in the dark. But good, flat camping spot. Lots of coyote howls.

There are several campsites on the property, and each has nice attributes. With the trees around the property, there's enough privacy. I think our site may have been the most scenic, with the river running right by us and a nest of ospreys across it. It was lovely. Nice dark skies, too.

Carmen has six sites right on the Snake River. Each is different (campsite, teepee, cabin, walled tent) and there is enough space and trees/bushes to make each feel private. I was there for four nights and got to tour the entire set up one morning when everyone else was checked out. I can verify that her photos on Airbnb are accurate and show you exactly what you are getting. Carmen is helpful and pleasant and very down to earth. You can hear the highway at the head of the property, but there are no other properties around her with campsites or cabins, so it seems more remote than it really is. For me, I prefer wilderness travel and don't much like regular campgrounds where people are crammed in like sardines. This was as good as it gets for car camping, in my opinion. (I was there to see the solar eclipse.) This is a natural area, with all the natural trees and plants. It is not fancy or manicured. Friendly, relaxing and serene setting. All others I met who stayed there were pleasant and quiet. Pets are welcome. There is no indoor plumbing. There is an outdoor shower and a spigot for drinking water. A couple of sites have electricity.

Len and Carmen have joined our staff and will be hosting campsites on the river this summer Hello,my name is Carmen. Originally from Texas, my husband Len and I, along with our son, moved here ten years ago. We now consider this beautiful place home. We enjoy meeting new people from other places, as well as camping and cooking outdoors. Sitting by the river next to a campfire is the perfect evening to us.
