This is a tiny home that sits next to the historic Brower House on the banks of the Mississippi. It sits 50 ft above the water with steps that lead you to the river for a refreshing swim. This space does not have running water. You can use the 1/2 bath (toilet and sink) inside the Brower House, mere steps away.. Want to wash? Hit the river. There is WiFi, TV, ceiling fan, mini fridge, microwave, a queen futon bed, electric heater, and wood burning fireplace. Please bring your own wood!

The space
Very important! In the fall and winter months, you will need to bring your own wood to stay warm. We have an in-wall heater and a radiant but minus something degrees requires a fire to avoid frostbite. You can buy bundles at Holiday gas or Kwik trip, or bring your own. A bundle will last 4 hours at night.

Expect wildlife to be around. In the fall and winter, critters try their best to get inside where it’s warm. If you are expecting sterile, then go to the Best Western. No neighbors here...just wildlife.

We have a 17 foot canoe, 2 kayaks, and 2 paddle boards you can use if other guests are not using them. Oars, paddles, and life jacks are included. These are available only to guests while you stay. 4 hour max use per day. Liability waiver forms in the unit.

Where you’ll be

St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States

Next to St. Cloud State. It’s never busy. You would never guess there’s a college here. It’s always quiet. It’s a few blocks from a few dozen bars and restaurants.

I am a teacher and veteran with a passion for fixing up old homes. I'm married to my wonderful wife, Cheri, who is a patient partner, willing to put up with the mess of a forever project -- the 100 year old house, of course ;) We can't wait to share some of the history of this charming English Tudor with you!

During your stay

I can be reached by phone or in person. It’s a large house you can use so make yourself at home. Coffee and tea are always accessible in the home. If you need anything don’t wait to tell me in a bad review. I’m here to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I can’t fix what I do not know about. If you run out of wood, let me know I’ll get you some. If you need a torch, tell me.. need ice? Tell me.. need tp? Tell me. Coffee made? Tell me. Frustrating to find out in a Karen review.
(There is a half bath inside the main house next to the front door. A half bath means there is a sink, and toilet)

Any questions or concerns call me at 763-688-3615. I want your experience to be positive. If I don’t know I can’t fix what’s wrong. Let me know. Dan
