Where you’ll be

Wind up the mountain driveway and you’ll find yourself falling in love with the quiet, peaceful, relaxing and wooded surroundings. No people neighbors to be seen!! North, south, east, or west, you’ll be in the center of large hardwood trees that give shade in the summer with their emerald green foliage; lend beautiful colors of yellow and orange in the fall, and give welcome woodland flowers in the spring with wild dogwoods, mountain Laurel, and red buds. And in winter while these magnificent trees sleep, you’ll have a 50 mile view of the Blue Ridge mountains and beyond. You can stand on the wrap around decks and literally touch these gentle giant trees every season, as they tower over and protect our beautiful custom, three story log cabin. You can watch hummingbirds feed at the porch, turkeys passing through the back yard, and deer with their fawns feeding along the ridge. You can sit on the porch in rocking chairs and watch the breathtaking sunsets each evening. You’ll love catching fire flies at night, and going to bed with crickets and tree frogs singing you to sleep. That’s why you’ll love our neighborhood.....pure and simple privacy and relaxation on the mountain top.

My husband, Jack, and I have been married for 49 years. Life together has been a wonderful journey of love and work. The log cabin has been our most recent adventure. It took us two years, but the finished project exceeded our expectations. It was our dream to build a cabin in the woods for our 12 grandchildren to enjoy nature, wildlife, and spend time with us. And each grandchild loves the cabin and wants to spend every opportunity they can there. We want our guests to enjoy it in the same way! We’re available to our guests in any capacity, phone calls, email, text, or in person.
