Where you’ll be

Vernon, British Columbia, Canada

Right down the hill is Kalamalka Public Beach, with washrooms, a snack stand, and volleyball courts. Alexander's Pub at the east end has a lovely patio restaurant, as well as a liquor store. At the west end of the beach is the Rail Trail Coffee Shop & General Store. Right next to that is Kalavida bike, e-bike and SUP rental. The the Middleton Mt. trail system is right out the door, and the Vernon to Kelowna Rail Trail, about a kilometer away.

The swimming season is from late June until early September. Paddling, hiking and biking are good shoulder season activities.

In winter, we are just over half an hour from Sovereign Lake cross country and Silver Star down hill facilities.

Also near by are great places to swim, fish, paddle board, bike, golf, walk, ski, cross country ski, snowshoe, snow board, and work up an appetite for the great local food and wine!

A short drive offers world class wineries and restaurants in the Lake Country area. Booking as local wine tasting tour is a great way to spend an Okanagan afternoon.

Wildlife is common to our property. Mule deer, quail and pheasants frequent our backyard.
