Beautifully restored 1875 village home 2 blocks from Seneca Lake, in the heart of wine country. Our quaint village is centrally located between Seneca Lake and Keuka Lake, where over 50 wineries and breweries await you. Keuka outlet trail spans 7 miles between Dresden and Penn Yan where gorgeous waterfalls, old mills and picnic areas can be enjoyed. We offer bicycles to explore, along with wine tastings, picnic baskets and mimosa brunch(extra charge for brunch and tasting)

The space
Our 19th century home, with private entrance, has been completely remodeled yet it’s original charm remains. The quiet village offers a relaxing getaway, with areas to view Seneca Lake sunrises, tennis courts, a small public beach with a Kayak launch and the fabulous Keuka outlet trail. We have bikes, tennis equipment and fishing poles to take advantage of the outdoor activities. Areas to explore within a short drive include, Penn Yan with a regional airport, cider mills, orchards, wine/local spirits bars, great eats and spectacular Keuka lake (10 min), Geneva, Hobart William and Smith College, fine dining, breweries and entertainment (20 min),Watkins Glen raceway, state park and wine fest (30 min).
There are several Mennonite farms nearby, offering fresh pies, produce, fudge and other specialties. Horse and buggies often ride by our home on the weekends.

Where you’ll be

Dresden, New York, United States

Dresden is a quaint village, with approximately 350 residents. It is a quiet and walkable small town along Seneca Lake. The nearest town for entertainment is Penn Yan, 8 min away, which has great wine bars, breweries and restaurants. Fall foliage may be one of the most beautiful times to visit the Fingerlakes, but the wineries, breweries and distillery’s are the areas greatest attraction!

Dean and I recently moved from Webster, NY to Dresden, where we fell in love with 53 Charles Street. We are passionate about bringing homes back to life and have restored many houses over the past several years, yet Charles street has been the most rewarding. Dean and I have always enjoyed the Finger Lakes and hope our home provides a base for others to explore the beautiful lake country. I have been working with children in the Dominican Republic for 18 years and travel there often as many of the kids are now like my own family. I’ve worked for a picture framing manufacture for nearly 25 years covering upstate NY, Canada and Western Pa. Dean has been a home builder/carpenter for nearly 40 years, which has been essential to our renovation projects. The past 14 years Dean has had a successful career as a real estate agent in greater Rochester and Finger Lakes area. Together we have 5 beautiful adult children, grandchildren and grand pups. We couldn’t be more blessed!
