Located on the edge of the Whanganui River and National Park, Treetops studio is a first floor studio apartment with views across the gardens, river and out into the tree tops of the bush.

*Driveway not suitable for camper vans of any kind

The space
Treetops studio has a queen size bed, sofa and armchair, a small dining table and an office nook.
The kitchenette is equipped with a bench top oven/grill, a single burner hob, a microwave, kettle, toaster and electric frying pan. It also has a range of cutlery, pans etc.
We also provide tea and coffee supplies along with all your bedding and towels.
The studio has a range of LPs, cassette tapes, DVDs, books and games for your entertainment. We have no cell phone reception but there is free wi-fi available.
Downstairs a semi-open shower and separate composting toilet providing private views across the bush. A deck with table, chairs and a chimenea give space to enjoy the garden.
This location offers the ability to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life and experience an eco-friendly retreat which is largely off-grid.
During the day you can swim in the river, follow a number of walking tracks or just relax! By night you can sit on the balcony or deck and gaze at the night stars.

The Whanganui River Valley has a temperate micro-climate and is surrounded by the Whanganui National Park. The scenic river rd has a number of interesting historic sites which can be explored by mountain bike or car.
This is an ideal base to explore the river and we offer a variety of jet boat and canoeing options along with a history and cultural tour. Please ask for details when booking.
