Pretty traditional cottage in the historic village of Blakeney, North Norfolk. Fronting onto walled garden yet very near the quay and the lovely places to eat. Sleeps four in two bedrooms, it has many traditional features

The space

Really traditional Blakeney cottage near the quay. Although the address is High Street it is reached by going down a flint walkway opening up into a delightful large walled garden with several little cottages around it. We have our own space with a table and chairs so guests can enjoy eating outside in the summer. The cottage is lovely in winter as well with an open fire and heating. The cottage sleeps four maximum with a standard sized double room with ensuite and a small twin. There's also a family bathroom with bath and shower downstairs.

Guest access

Please note just weeks available in school summer holidays and May half term

Other things to note

Bedlinen service £12.50 per person
We have duvets pillows and bedspreads on all beds so you can take your own if you prefer. Just a note about this. Airbnb usually add another £38 cleaning charge on top of rental. I've chosen to opt out of this and rather make a bedlinen charge, so that if budget is an issue, you can opt to take your own.

Three night minimum for New Year bookings

This is an adorable cottage located in the beautiful town of Blakney. Perfect for spending a day birding on the coast whether a Cley or Titchwell!

This cottage is an excellent base for exploring north Norfolk. Blakeney is such a beautiful little town which is so great this time of year. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and enough in the town and nearby to keep our six year old son and our dog busy. We visited in late August for five days and spent most of the time in town or on the beach, but the cottage gave a nice homely place to relax in the evening after our son (and the dog!!) had gone to bed. The cottage is small, but Veronica is honest in her description and as such we weren't disappointed. We found it very clean and tidy and felt at home the moment we walked in the door. The stairs are very steep so you would have to be careful with small children and the elderly, but having a door at the bottom meant the dog could easily be restricted to the downstairs. Having two showers, a bath and two toilets the cottage's facilities are more than adequate for the number of beds. The kitchen is clean and well stocked for everything you could need for a week or two. Even the Wifi works really well, something you don't often get in holiday lets. The High street is very narrow but we managed to park, for free, within 50yds of the end of the alleyway (where the cottage is located) for the whole time we were there. Just please note that you can't pull up right next to the cottage for loading/unloading. Overall, i would definitely recommend and we would go back tomorrow at the drop of a hat. Had a great time!!

Blakeney was a really good base for our holiday - the town itself is lovely, with a good range of pubs and restaurants and some handy shops. On the Coasthopper bus route, it is easy to access lots of the other interesting towns and villages even if you don't have a car, and if you do, parking isn't too problematic even in the school holidays. There are lots of great walks to enjoy. The cottage is well located and equipped, and a perfect size for two adults and a dog.
