Greetings! You will get to stay in a 12’ X 16’ Amish-built Guest house with use of a private full bath off the main house (the water closet inside the guest house only has a porta potty). This small house is used as my massage studio during the weekdays and a cozy guest house on the weekends. You have the quaintness of a Maine cabin yet the convenience of being a short ten minute walk from downtown Belfast. The street is in a popular Belfast neighborhood.

The space

The interior has a lot of natural sunlight and is trimmed out in warm New England pine.

Guest access

You will have access to the whole guest house as well as private access to a full bathroom with shower/tub, toilet and sink off the main house. You are welcome to use the back yard for picnic dinners or sit around a small camp fire and chat.

Interaction with guests

I will give you as much privacy as you need however am available if you have any questions about the space or the area.

Other things to note

* NO cleaning fee or hidden fees with this listing. Flat rate of $65 even for peak season.

* The full bathroom with hot running water is off the main house. The water closet inside the guesthouse only has a portable toilet, wipes, hand sanitizer and cloths closet.

* The state of Maine now requires Airbnb to automatically collect an occupancy tax. I apologize for this and have reduced my listing price by $10 to off set the new fee.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kristy's place. The check-in and check-out were easy, everything was clean and tidy on our arrival, and Kristy made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The room felt larger than it appeared in the photos, and had lots of natural light, which was a nice surprise. We did not need to use any of the heating or cooling features for the room, as the temperatures were mild and the bed was warm and comfortable. The bathroom set-up was unconventional, but was as described and worked well for us. Some of the personal touches we enjoyed were the complimentary teas and coffee in the room, nightstands and lamps on each side of the bed (we're readers), and the little flashlights provided for nighttime trips to the bathroom on the main house. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and would book again with Kristy in the future.

The guest house was a little oasis- clean, cozy, private, and so comfortable. Kristy made us feel very welcome and at home, we were mere minutes from the center of Belfast, and yet we also felt like we were in a quiet, secluded place. It was the perfect stop for my husband and I on our road trip through coastal Maine. Highly recommend this spot.

Great visit at kristy's cabin. Really sweet, clean and efficient. The sheets are amazing and I'm going to ask her where they came from. My sister really appreciated the banana for breakfast, her favorite. Thank you Kristy!

Such a cute little cabin. Super cozy and just what I expected. Located in a super cute town with some really good food. Kristie was very easy to contact and very kind. Although it was a guest house it was very private!

Hi!

I am a Maine native, born and bred in Lincolnville. I have loved Belfast since I was a child joining my dad while he worked on vintage Volkswagen vehicles at his shop in Belfast, The Beetle Shop. I loved the cool sea breeze on a hot day, the eccentric drifters who came into the shop to talk about cars (and so much more) and the occasional snack downtown. I have always known that Belfast was a special place, a place where you feel like you can truly belong. I now live in Belfast with my husband and three kids so I am a busy lady! I have been a licensed massage therapist since 1999, a certified clinical hypnotherapist since 2011 and am currently a tiny house enthusiast! I honestly love tiny houses (more than the other two career paths) so when I became too busy with child-rearing to use my lovely Amish tiny studio I thought that I should share it with others so it could be enjoyed and appreciated.

I hope you love it as much as I do.
