The Studio is across the street from Detroit's Selden Standard where Head Chef Andy is a James Beard Award semi-finalist. Walking distance from the DIA, Wayne State, and the Museum of African American History. 9 minute walk from the QLINE Canfield station (approx 10 minutes to Downtown on the streetcar). 10 minute walk to a stop for the Detroit Connector, a U of M Ann Arbor shuttle bus. The Studio just got Rocket Fiber giving guests a gigabyte speed internet connection. MoGo stop one block away.

The space

This 1880s Gothic-Victorian Mansion was renovated in 2015. Everything is new, clean and modern. There is a queen sized bed, ample closet space, a full kitchen and private bathroom. The space gets great light.

Guest access

Private bathroom, full kitchen, washer and dryer. You will have the entire studio to yourself, no roommates.

Other things to note

We have plenty of street parking. If it's not available, guests may have access to the off-street parking. The neighborhood is very walkable and the QLINE is running (nearest stop is a 10 minute walk to the corner of Woodward and East Canfield). There is a MoGo Detroit bike sharing station 1 block away (on Second and Selden).

Location and unit are great with lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Hosts were very responsive and would definitely stay here again next time we are in Detroit!

This was our second time staying in Jacquelyne's place - we liked it so much the first time that we came back! A perfect base to explore Detroit: the apartment is as comfortable, private and safe as a hotel, but with more personality and better amenities. It's in a great residential neighborhood, close to awesome restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

This is a great studio for stays in Detroit. The location is perfect--not on a busy street but close to lots of great food/coffee/art. The hosts were nice and accessible but not all up in your business. The apartment detailing is really nice--the beautiful bathroom tiles, the color matching throughout the space, the leather chair for reading/relaxing, the pretty plant in the window sill. Overall a great vibe and ambience and I will definitely stay again if I am back in town and flying solo. Know before you go (for cool temperature times only): The heating system is fairly loud and it blows dry hot air from the ceiling which I didn't love. But it wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

Jacquelyne and Mark were ideal hosts! My partner had been in the area for conference and I came up to see the city. This location proved to be a fantastic hub for all of our activities. The area is nice and safe with some cool shops around. It is an easy drive to downtown and other parts of the city. We didn't have a car and instead took Lyft everywhere, in retrospect a car would have been nice as parking didn't seem difficult in the city like we expected. The studio itself was incredibly clean and cozy. We loved the kitchen and bathroom. Lots of basics provided in the kitchen like oils and spices. Awesome toiletries basics and even straighteners/curlers that my partner was excited to have available. Also a nice iron and small board, laundry machine is even available. The only note we would have is there are two sets of stairs, so if you have any issues with your knees, etc you may want to consider that. The hosts were so accommodating for check in and even let us stash our luggage on our last day. If you're considering a stay in Detroit then we recommend stop looking and book this spot! Huge thanks for a lovely weekend in Detroit!

I absolutely LOVE their place. I always hope it is available on my trips to Detroit. As I have said before, it is the perfect spot to check out what I think is the coolest city in the U.S.
