The host was really great and accessible. I was made to feel welcome in the place. Dawid and his brother Matt were always on call to help out. Although the place is a little beat up, the value is excellent. The location in particular was great, and it is a good place to stay for …
The owner writes nice if he writes. The room is nice, clean and quite close to the old town. The laundry are pleasant, and the surroundings too. Butthere was a problem. Dawid could not be reached in case of problems wheter by sms, call or net: The key to the front door did not w…
Response from Dawid:
I think Lena is a great person. However, I cannot help to notice that her review suffers from several factual shortcomings. My airbnb guests receive two keys: one to the apartment door and the other to the building door. The building door is also opened with a code to the intercom which I give my guest to be used at their convenience. On Saturday, May 14th around 6.30pm Lena sent me a text message asking for a “code to the door” which I interpreted as the intercom code. I replied to her with the code in 10mins. I would be more than happy to attach screen shots of my phone to this review. Approx. 1h after my reply Lena texted me again saying that the code did not work. I told her that it had never happened before and she should retry entering it. In case it repeatedly did not work I advised her to use the key I gave her. Notwithstanding the fact that I was attending my cousin’s wedding this Saturday I tried to call Lena at least two times but she was not picking up. I concluded that she got to the apartment and decided not to bother her anymore. I was more than surprised to learn that after 2hrs (around 10pm) she sent me airbnb message stating that she did not feel safe, the code was not working and she moved out earlier than her check out time. It was quite surprising as Lena (as all my airbnb guests) were given the code to the intercom and the key when she moved in. I also made sure than she wrote the code down. The key was working which I checked before and after her departure. Also, the other guest who stayed in the same apartment with Lena (my apartment has two bedrooms) experienced no issues with the intercom at all the same evening. Hence, I am a bit puzzled by the whole situation.
