This place is great. It's obvious it has been recently remodeled as most everything appears new. When we walked in, the place was nice and cold which was a great relief given the 100 degree day.
The water is right off the back porch and there are boat slips lining the canal. We had standup paddle boards and used them in the canal late in the evening.
The bed in the master bedroom was a bit soft for my liking, but I have crazy back problems and like a pretty firm bed. There is a tv in the bedroom with cable.
The couch pulls out into a bed which we put our kids on. They were complaining in the morning that they could feel the bars through the mattress and it hurt. The next night we took the mattress off the couch and put it directly on the floor. No complaints the next morning, they slept great.
When we were placing the mattress on the floor, we found a few ants and followed them under the couch. There were a few hundred of them under the couch feasting on a chip that was their prior to our stay. We cleaned them up and never saw another ant. Given the cleaning fee, this was unexpected.
It's also requested that we remove all of the sheets, take out the trash, and a few other minor things. I understand helping out, but being asked to do items that should be covered by the cleaning fee ($60 - we stayed two nights) was a bit off-putting.
Given the entire experience, we will stay here again. From the condo it is less than a ten minute drive to be parked and in the water on the beach. There are restaurants and souvenir shops within walking distance.
If you are looking for a family friendly section of beach, go to the National Seashore (Malaquite Beach). ~10 miles from condo.
