Olivia is the perfect host with the perfect place to stay at . Field House Cottage itself is a beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped cottage set in the most incredible landscape of the Peak District. It's perfect for walks in the amazing scenery and also for visiting an array of market towns in the nearby vicinity . After a two week stay in such an amazing place , it was very difficult to leave and head back to London, but I will certainly return to enjoy the beautiful area and an amazing cottage .

Just back from a lovely week at Field House cottage - a beautiful old building tucked into the side of a valley, surrounded by hilly farmland and woods. The garden is also well kept and pretty, and our kids enjoyed the outside space, the chickens, and especially Cara the dog. We thought Olivia had put a lot of thought into what you might need on holiday - upstairs there were blankets and hot water bottles, soap, gel and loo rolls, plus all the towels and bedding; in the kitchen, there was a grater, knives, chopping boards, colander, pans, clingfilm, foil, herbs, salt and pepper, oil, teabags etc; and in the lounge some decent books and boardgames, as well as the TV and wifi. It made packing and unpacking so much easier than usual, and was all much appreciated. In terms of things to do, there's lots of family friendly stuff around the area : walking (obvs!), bike trails, swimming pool, stately homes, wildlife/ theme parks and so on. We easily filled the week. Finally, Olivia and George are very pleasant hosts, happy to chat and share their local info., welcoming, and clearly well organised.

We had a memorable experience at Olivia's lovely cottage. We stayed there for 3 nights, a family of 2 + 4 kids. The cottage is lovely, so cozy and well equipped. Olivia thinks about little details and it makes a difference. We used the kitchen a lot and the utility room (washing and drying) - it was important for us that the facilities were very useful and comfortable. The location is magnificent - we came to get acquainted with the Peaks and it was fantastic - a walking distance from the cottage. The cottage is 10 mins from Leek and 20 mins from Buxton if you need groceries, restaurants, a doctor - whatever. I think I could not wish for a better place for a family holiday and I only regret we did not stay longer!

We had a wonderful week in the cottage. It is located in a more than beautiful surrounding - directly in the bottom of The Roaches, with wonderful view on the rocks. The area is perfect for hiking - and the best is that you don’t even need a car for this because once you step out of the house you can start walking and hiking. If you just want to enjoy some peace and quiet, this place is also perfect. The cottage itself was really, really well-equipped, spotlessly clean, very cosy and especially tastefully furnished. It was perfect for our group of four adults, since we were provided with everything we needed during our stay in an unfortunately quite cold and rainy week. We couldn’t really use the comfortable terrace and outside garden, which was a bit of a shame. In the cottage there was a lot of information about the region and we could always ask someone at the house when we had any further questions. Thanks again for letting us stay at your cottage and for your kind hospitality!

We had a wonderful holiday in the Field House Cottage. The Peak District is a FANTASTIC environment. We made nice walks with the kids, enjoyed the amazing views, rode an old steam train, visited cosy villages and went to Drayton Manor water park. The cottage is so BEAUTIFUL and very CLEAN! Our stay was very COMFORTABLE: the house is very well equipped. The garden is very big and there were toys for the kids. We had a good night sleep thanks to the perfect beds. Olivia and George were the PERFECT hosts! Discrete and very, very friendly! It was lovely to meet them.
