Kenya forest reserve, the verandah is an ideal place from which to view the abundant bird and animal life. It is a 4 bedroom house with a fully equipped kitchen, bath, showers and toilets.
Karichota is home to a myriad of beautiful and medicinal trees and plants, including 17 species of indigenous orchids.

Keith Pearson: Director and Actor Over the past twenty years, Keith Pearson, as Managing Director of The Theatre Company (TTC), has been responsible for some of the most dynamic and adventurous performance work which has been seen in Kenya. Keith is a former Steering Committee member of Arterial Network and a member of the Creative Economy Working Group. Keith is proud to be an active mentor of some of Kenya’s finest creative talent and is constantly seeking to extend himself as a creative artist in all areas. Keith is also active in the Film and TV Industry, appearing as an actor in Out of Africa, The Constant Gardener and a long list of local and international hits. He stars in the Danish feature Kapringen (A Hijacking), which is about piracy in the Indian Ocean. He has been the Acting Coach for Heart of Fire (Germany) and Imani (Uganda.) He is the proprietor of the Karichota Arts Centre in the Mt. Kenya forest near Nanyuki and the proud father of Mo Wanjeri (of Yellow Light Machine music group) and William Maragua. Having been instrumental in the development of the International School of Kenya Arts Centre, developed the Oshwal Centre Auditorium and managed the re-building of the Louis Leakey Auditorium at the National Musueum, Keith is currently spearheading the development of the new Arts Centre and Auditorium at St. Christopher’s School in Karen. Keith is passionately committed to the enhancement of the forest environment and encouraging friends and visitors to become involved in conservation and to develop a balanced relationship with our natural environment.
