Situated 35 minutes from Toronto in an incredibly beautiful part of Ontario, our Country Retreat is on the protected Oak Ridges Moraine with 43 acres of rolling woodland and a five acre pond, "Glasgow Pond", with a natural river and waterfall. The area is known as the "Trail Capital of Canada".
Whether taking in the breathtaking views from the living room windows, playing a game of tennis, going for a dip in the saltwater pool or venturing out for a day of cycling, Woodsong Country Bed and Breakfast gives you so much more.
After your day of exploration is complete, retreat to the respite of the Country Retreat with a relaxing cup of afternoon tea, or enjoy an evening glass of wine and slice of cheese. Rest assured, our gracious hospitality will bring you back time and time again.
Guests enjoy daily delicious breakfast with selections of coffee, juice, fresh berries, fruit, yogurt, Estonian crepes, omelettes, baked goods and cereals that are sourced locally.
The Studio & Country suites are located in the guest house. On the ground level we have the Country Suite with open living room/kitchen, the bedroom has a queen size bed and bathroom. The Studio Suite is located on the upper level and comprised of open cathedral/walls of glass living/dining/kitchenette and a bedroom, double bed and bathroom.
The Suites are equipped with refrigerator, stove or toaster oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, Wi Fi, satellite TV and hair dryer.
The area has lots to offer with road or trail bicycling, marvelous golf courses, cross country and downhill skiing plus horse back riding steps away.
Bird watching is amazing especially during migration.
We are also surrounded by a rich and diverse community of artists, craftsmen and makers of all kinds who open their studios during the Uxbridge "Celebration of the Arts" for tours in September. Natures beauty and calm brings out the creative seeds.
The area is serviced on a regular basis by Go Trains and Go Buses if you wish to visit Toronto without driving.
