200 years old, authentic and rustic wooden house, perfect for families and friends. Quiet and peaceful environment close to the mountains and fjords, with great possibilites for hiking, fishing and relaxing.

The space

Our old aunt's old house is located in the hill at Stavdalen in Stordal. It has been in the familiy for generations, and was run as a farm until the 60ies. The house is build in three steps, the first part probably around 200 years ago. The last part in the 80ies, including a new bathroom.

Guest access

Stavdalen is the perfect place to relax and fall to peace. It's also great if you want to go hiking, fishing og climbing in the mountains, or see famous Geiranger and Trollveggen (around one hour with car). Stavdalen is located around 66 km from the closest city, Ålesund.

Interaction with guests

We are living in Ålesund, around one hour drive from the house, but please ask us if you need any help.

Other things to note

The closest grocery and restaurant is 8 kilometers away.
It's a narrow parking place for one car by the main road 200 meters from the house. Steep way to walk to come to the house, takes 5 minutes.

The cottage was perfect. Short drive to many beautiful areas. The house has an old school authentic cottage feel, yet with all necessary amenities. Synnove was very easy to communicate and she was quite helpful. I would stay here again.

We had a truly wonderful stay! Beforehand Synnøve gave us many tips for the area, which is amazing. There is so much to do and see! And all within 1-2 hours driving. We had a great communication before and during our stay. We were welcomed very warmly by her mother with fresh pancakes and flowers. Synnøve was also very accommodating to our 1-year old daughter, so there was a bed and a high chair upon arrival. We would love to come back and will definitely stay in Synnøves farm again! Highly recommended!Tusen tack!
