The space
B&B in your own bedroom in this cottage on the lake. It's on Wolfe Island, a 20 minute free ferry ride from downtown Kingston. Great for Island events or as a base for exploring Historic Kingston and the 1000 Islands. Pedestrian and cyclist friendly.

The cottage is called the Dollshouse and it's right on the water and very charming. Purple and white clapboard outside with lots of windows, screen doors that creak, and a wood panelled interior with a stone fireplace. The sunsets and views of the city are lovely.

The bedroom is small and comfortable with lots of windows and a good mattress. The bedroom is private and in the cottage you will have access to shared living room, kitchen, full bathroom with shower. It's a COTTAGE! There are also open decks, screened porches and a dock for sunning and swimming. We also have an outhouse with hand sanitizer that we try to use when possible especially during the day.

We'll be around and happy to provide advise and information about the area. Brother and sister team (Scott and Ann) who have both been travellers and tourists, hosts and hosted.

The island offers the best of both worlds, country pace and access to urban and tourist activity. Primarily a farm and commuter community, the island is 7 miles wide and 14 miles long. It is the largest of the 1000 Islands located at the west end of the region where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River.

You can get to Wolfe Island using the free ferry from downtown Kingston. It leaves every hour. You can come on foot or bring your car. Sometimes the ferry can be busy for cars though and you may have to wait. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry dock on the island in the village. You can also come using a paid ferry an the other side of the island from Cape Vincent N.Y. USA. Coming with your own boat is also an option.

Other things to note

The Dollshouse, the Bunkie, and the Cottage on the Dock are on the same property. Renting additional accommodations can be a good solution for a larger group who need a more bedrooms.
