Merci.

My wife and I have traveled widely in Europe, and this was perhaps the most wonderful place we have ever stayed. Saint Guilhem le Desert is a picture-perfect town in Languedoc, full of charm and history--as is the entire region. Joel's house is spacious, traditional in many ways yet filled with modern amenities, and amazingly affordable. We would gladly stay again and again.

Great house in a great village. Everything we could have wanted. The house is back from the main areas, no issues with noise. Saint-Guilhelm-Le-Desert is a very scenic little village that the residents obviously take pride in. Because it is small, it may get congested when busses arrive and during peak season. Lots of things to do in the area: Pezanas and Circus de Navacelles in particular. This was a great find and we WILL be back!

Beautiful house and wonderful reception on arrival by Christel. Exactly as described. One point of note for other travellers is parking is a bit of an issue in the high season and be prepared the village is swamped with tourists. The house is nice and private so you wouldnt even know there is another soul in the village but once you head down it is really crowded! Had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

It is a perfect and very nice place to stay. A romantic village and a comfortable house with all you can wish for. For city people like us, parents with two kids (8 and 5), it was great experience to be waked up by birds and walking on ancient streets. Contact was in advance difficult, till we met Eve who responded immediately on questions and helped us very well. The regio has a lot the offer, nature, ancient place, sports and even beach and city within an our.

St Guilhem is a very friendly and welcoming village surrounded by beautiful scenery and exquisite hiking trails. Its an amazing medieval village with nothing contemporary built and an interesting history. The house is very privately located far from the noise of the tourists, but seeing as its such a small town with a population of only 250 odd people the house is within a very comfortable distance of the center (5 min walk). There is air conditioning with the option for cooling or heating but half the house is basement and it gets quite cold at night (in spring), so I would assume this house is more comfortable in summer. Having said that we never used the heating. Speaking of summer comfort, the outside area is wonderful! Enough shade and enough sun. The location at the foot of the mountains with nothing above you makes for an incredibly special experience. I would jump at the opportunity to stay at Joel's home again.

This is a very lovely place just as it is described. Bed is very comfy. Kitchen superb. Patio area gorgeous even in late October. The village is very beautiful. Internet excellent. I can thoroughly recommend. I loved my 6 days here. The local walks are amazing and the mountains are stunning. Samantha kindly gave me a lift to the bus. It was great!
