Staying at Casa Celeste feels like you are spending your days in your own beach front private nature park. Our property is a natural corridor for many of Costa Rica’s animal inhabitants. Spending your days and nights on the beach listening to the sounds of the waves all day is an amazing experience.

The space
We are located right on the beach on a large 1.5 acre private property. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in Mal Pais, Costa Rica.
It is the perfect spot for those looking for privacy and relaxation; yet close to the center of town. The nearest grocery store is a 5 minute drive. Nearest restaurant is also located beachfront and a three minute walk. This incredible tropical location will cradle you in comfort. Enjoy the soothing sounds of the waves from every point of this house. We have several large natural tide pools out front to the right & left for enjoying a refreshing swim.

Both bedrooms are large enough to add an extra air mattresses with still plenty of room to spread out. All amenities are there for your comfort including two full bathrooms with showers, Tv with Netflix, wireless internet, outdoor shower, hammocks, air conditioning, ceiling fans, car port, outdoor covered veranda with couches, loungers, hammock, and dinning area. Our kitchen is equipped with all the essentials needed for making meals at home. We have an outdoor BBQ for your enjoyment. The spacious outdoor patio/veranda is the perfect place to enjoy the ocean breeze, watch the waves, and unwind.

Experience unforgettable sunsets. The sun sets right out front. This is the ideal spot for the perfect family vacation, friends, or a romantic couples get-away. At Casa Celeste we provide you with an onsite caretaker who's favorite thing to do is to take care of everything. If you are looking to experience the "Pura Vida" lifestyle; you've come to the right place.

For those interested in surfing, there is a left point break within a short distance, and for the more experienced surfers there is a right point break steps from the property. About 500 meters north, experience the World Famous beaches of Playa Carmen ( 2 minute drive) and Santa Teresa (4 minute drive) and Playa Hermosa Beach (10 min drive).

There is much to explore in our roughly 6km of flat dirt road and little villages of Mal Pais & Playa Santa Teresa. We look forward to hosting you.

The Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, Playa Carmen & Playa Hermosa area/villages are in our opinion the greatest place in all of Costa Rica! Might as well be the same town. It's roughly 9km of flat dirt road between all of them. You can easily get around by car, ATV, taxi or walk the beach. Lots to see and explore. Great international cuisine. World class beaches and the town feels rustic and international. The nature and wildlife located here is spectacular.

We live full time in Los Angeles. Vicente, our caretaker is always available in person. He speaks English and Spanish and has lived in Mal Pais for the last 15 years. Please do not hesitate to what's app him with any questions you may have during your visit. Ran & Diana can be reached via email or here through airbnb messaging. We do allow planned events such as weddings however we do not allow for DJ, village rave parties. :)
