We loved to stay in the little cottage which felt like home from the first minute! The cottage looks like the pictures and is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed the most the small privat garden with different fruits and the view from the table! Thanks for having a great time in your cottage!

The Little House was our first AirBnB experience, and I am happy to say that it couldn't have gone better. The beauty of the Little House is its authentic, rustic simplicity. Beautifully decorated, well furnished and equipped, but in no way extravagant. It wasn't until after we arrived in Guadeloupe that I learned I had chosen to visit during the rainy season. Sitting in the front porch, listening to the pouring rain, with frogs and birds singing in the surrounding tropical garden turned this "mistake" into an incredibly peaceful retreat. As others have mentioned, the cottage lacks air conditioning, but the constant mountain breeze makes it totally unnecessary. The one thing that took some time for me to get used to was the shower. As with many homes on the island, it has a solar water heater, so sometimes hot water is in short supply or the water pressure is low. However once you get used to it a cool shower is extremely refreshing in such a climate. While we didn't interact much with Pierre and Lynn (we were always out all day, and didn't want to disturb their young family at night!), they have truly done a lot to ensure guests feel taken care of. Their dog made sure that we felt VERY welcome every time we came back from an outing. She is one of the sweetest doggos I have ever met, and made it easier being away from my own pup. I highly recommend this lodging. It is one of the few places I have stayed that I have felt "home sick" for after coming home!

My husband and I loved staying at Lyne and Pierre's place, and would go back in a heartbeat. The cottage is beautiful, with a great view of the Caribbean ocean (perfect for sunsets), and a lovely little garden courtyard that we used a lot for meals and drinks. We thought it would be hard to find their place, but we found their little street on the first try. Even so, Lyne was very helpful with a backup plan and extra directions in case we couldn't find it. She and Pierre were very communicative via email before and during our trip, and Pierre gave us lots of tips each day on what to see and how — like where to snorkel to find the sea turtles, what time to hike La Soufriere and how to tell what days would be good to actually see from the top, or when and where to get the best ferry to get to les Saintes. He made everything really easy for us. The location was perfect for our day trips around Basse Terre: 15 minutes from either La Soufriere or the ferry terminal, just a few minutes to Basse-Terre proper and less than 45 minutes to Réserve Cousteau. We sadly weren't there for the Carnavale weekend (and week), but a big parade went down the main road to Basse-Terre (just off of their street) the night before we left, and we watched it all from a little parking lot at the end of the street. The place was really quiet, aside from some persistent barking dogs throughout the neighbourhood. Lyne and Pierre's dog is also the best — she's always so happy to see you when you arrive, which was a great welcome every time.

Pierre and Lynne try very hard and have thought of everything that you need. The little studio is lovely. Perfectly placed to climb the volcano and explore the forest

The Little House is the perfect place to stay on Basse-Terre. Exactly as pictured and as described, the apartment is beautifully quaint with modern amenities. There is a kitchen with everything you need for a short stay, as well as an outdoor eating area overlooking the sea. The temperature is comfortable at night even without air conditioning, as cooling rains and winds keep the air perfect for sleeping. The apartment is located a short drive from a supermarket. Also, if you are planning a trip to Les Saintes, the ferry is only about 15-20 minutes by car. We highly recommend staying here and hope to be back to Guadeloupe again soon!

Lyne and Pierre had a great place and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It's kind of like an in law apartment off of their home and it is spacious enough to fit two people comfortably. It's very clean and has everything you would need for a trip there. I loved being in a neighborhood with locals and everyone was so friendly! The location is great for traveling around the national park and is close to restaraunts, bakeries, grocery stores, etc. They also have the best dog ever who was always so ecstatic to see us!! We highly recommend Lyne and Pierre's place!

We stayed 10 days at the cottage and overall we have a pretty memorable experience. The cottage had all the basics we needed and we found Pierre very helpful with regards things in the area etc. We were very impressed with the island and especially the Volcano hike (the cottage is a 10 minute drive to the hike starting point), and our day in Terre-de-haut island. Can't wait to go back....
