This is the unpretentious, friendly and convenient part of Ferryhill. We have a guest parking permit, a communal lounge, a kitchen with all the utensils you will need. The best pubs, parks, and the river are a stones throw away. We are on the National cycle Route 1. If you are Interested in Scottish memorabilia, we have some local knowledge and can suggest activity which might appeal to a traveler looking for a unique Scottish experience.

Have a look at the guest interaction section below.

During your stay
Of interest to touring cyclists, our home is actually on the National cycle Route 1 between Colchester and the Shetland Islands. We have a workshop where we can lock away you bikes while you rest up. Zhao is a qualified therapist and you can get a deep tissue massage before relaxing in a hot bath.

While we cannot pretend to be accomplished tour guides, we will give you all the advice and direction we have acquired in out 14 years living here.
As an aside if you are Interested in Scottish memorabilia, we trade in antiques and have some local knowledge in the field and can suggest an activity which might appeal to a traveller looking for a unique Scottish experience. So if one of your interests is collecting antiques, or just dabbling in interesting curios, we can offer guidance on what you might want to see in the city. Certainly, compared to London and the English Home Counties prices up here are very attractive. Aside from Aberdeen itself, we can help you plan your onward trip North or South. Along the way, there are a wealth of, off-the-beaten-track, diverting Scottish markets and emporiums where you can connect with really interesting locals and pick up some unique items spiced with a salty anecdote. Call in at the converted church in Cullen, George Watt’s shop in Fochabers or Steptoes near Montrose, to mention but a few.
A great place to start is with the Wednesday auction at John Milnes, often featured in BBS’s “Flog It”. We usually attend, and you can bid on our paddle. The sale catalogue is on the web, usually from the preceding Friday, or better still attend the viewing on the Tuesday morning. In the afternoon you can visit Dunnottar Castle. Actually there are several castles locally, or tipple away the afternoon at a Glen Garioch distillery tour. Actually the options are endless. The Milnes’ auction is worth it, even if you don’t buy anything, there are a cast of characters who have stepped straight out of the pagers of Dickens.
