Our intent is that we have 3-4 night min. in order to cover our costs but we will make exceptions to that rule. . NOTE THIS IS AN ISLAND ADVENTURE SO YOU NEED A BOAT OR WE HAVE DISCOUNTED RATE ON A VERY NICE 22' PONTOON.

The space
This is a one of a kind spot for a respite away from everything. The beach area is not your traditional walk from sandy shore. You may either walk down a set of stairs to the 40’ wide sandy area in the water or dive or step off the south dock after your nearby sauna and swim out to floating swim platform. We have more photos and information and many testimonials from happy families. We are also negotiable on price on off season times, but we do winterize the cabins November -March so there would be no running water. We would discuss the options but it is beautiful in winter as well!Northern MN Island Battle Lake Layout

A Bed Count and best kitchen area updated June 2020:

The taller of the two cabins is the
Guest Cabin, and that is where the kitchen table is and a much more storage for cooking, so feel free to use that as your kitchen and main eating Cabin. Also feel free to grab what you need from the main cabin kitchen to make it convenient for you. We just installed the cabinets and haven’t had a chance to outfit it completely. That may help to have the main cook persons stay in the guest cabins, but the main cabin is my favorite, so you can make the final room decisions when you see the place. There should be a big coffee pot in each cabin for your use, as well as waffle maker, Foreman Sandwich Grill, electric skillet and electric frying pan, etc. that I think we will keep in the Guest Cabin because there is more room for eating and cooking.

Main cabin is about the same size as Guest Cabin, 32’ by 40? Main cabin queen in master br. Futon in living room. Loft is a full bed over queen bed log bunk bed. Nice futon, as well as twin size bed.

Guest cabin master bedroom queen. Living room is queen or full size fold out couch, but fairly comfortable-really!. Loft is 2? twin sized beds and one queen sized bed, and 1 full sized bed. Please don’t have anyone sleep in the Screened in Tea House. We want to keep the furniture nice and it is such a nice gathering spot, we would prefer that you don’t. You are welcome to take naps in the Sauna Cabin also. Very secluded and pleasant unless people are taking saunas (feel free to use the fan to cool things down).

Also some of the kids or adults could sleep in a tent if they wanted-probably only one or so, though, to keep the neighbors happier. Nice for privacy, and if it storms, they could go inside (after the 2019 yesterday of two teens being crushed by trees in Northern Minnesota, it would be good to have the tents away from trees down wind-sorry to be ghoulish, but it makes you think about those poor families… Dogs are welcome if you clean up perfectly after them and we charge $20 per day per dog under 40 lbs and $25 per day per dog for over 40 pound dogs

nice sized lake with great fishing and only 30+ homes aruond lake and a vast open conservation area across the lake. Small towns nearby with two good sized cities in the vicinity. A very nice nine hole golf course with clubhouse perfect for watching the game or dining.

My dog and I live on the Mississippi River in the North Suburbs of Minneapolis and we try to get together with family and friends at the island several times a year. Have two grown children who are fabulously successful and happy in their careers.
