1. Wake up in complete comfort to the bird song, while watching the sun slowly rise over the bush is just the first of many magical experiences.

2. You’ll love the lanolin oiled spotted gum floorboards, unique kitchen, complete with glass covered wool classing table, the Cooper overhead gear and solid sliding barn doors. This bespoke house reeks of 'shearing shed', whilst still feeling like a home.

3. Set on three acres and nestled amongst the black box gums, overlooking a peaceful billabong on a quiet country road, you are invited to relax in this beautiful bush environment just 400 metres from the mighty Murray River.

4. The fully appointed kitchen includes induction cooktop, oven, convection microwave , coffee machine and quality cookware. A flywire encased veranda with dining area enables you to fling the doors wide open and appreciate the natural beauty.

5. An outdoor gas heater and two large ceiling fans to keep the area warm/cool and well ventilated, allowing you to enjoy life in a semi open style. The veranda also boasts cosy lounge furniture to chill out and watch the stunning sunsets.

6. A leisurely walk to the Murray River sees you enjoying bushwalks, swimming or fishing or its a short drive to the Torrumbarry boat ramp. Whatever floats your boat!

7. On arrival enjoy quality linen & towels, laundry facilities, heating\ cooling, indoor woodfire heater & wood, outdoor gas heater, BBQ, outdoor fire pit and outdoor bath with bath minerals. Ample boat & car parking. Bakery bread, fresh local milk, quality assorted teas, ground coffee beans and eggs if the chooks are laying.

8. Just 20 minutes from Echuca there is a myriad of things to do. Visit the historic Port of Echuca, ride the paddle steamer or enjoy a weekend festival or market. We are also located in the heart of the burgeoning good food and wine trail.

My number one love after my family is our Shearing Shed House as my husband and I love all things different, quirky and ewe-nique. It is such a retreat to spend time in nature and relax after a busy working week. I love the smell of timber as you walk in and although it is nine years since it was built I still marvel at all the different elements that make this such a great place. We say our house is a work of art in progress that I think will forever keep evolving but one of our goals is to make it totally sustainable in the future.

We love to share our house with friends and family and anyone who is interested in quirky architecture, art, Australiana and spending time connecting to nature. I also love spending time cooking in my beautiful kitchen using the abundant fresh produce Australia has to offer, then sharing a great meal on the veranda as we watch the sunset over the bush. We love the serenity but also the fact that we are only 20 minutes from all the Echuca region has to offer.

We also enjoy entertaining and meeting new and interesting people which is reflected in the story and contents of our house. Should you choose to visit The Shearing Shed House it would be totally and privately yours to explore, relax and enjoy. We would be very happy to have the opportunity to share our home with you!
