Like the district Jordaan , de Pijp is brimming with fantastic cafés, restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Of course, a visit to Amsterdam wouldn’t be the same without a trip to the Albert Cuypmarket, flanked by over 100 shops.

I love the neighborhood because it has a nice vibe. Today, de Pijp is so popular that house prices have gone up an astonishing 350%

It's nearby everything you would like to do. It's a quiet street but in the area is a lot to do. Cafés, everyday market, restaurants, canals, museum square at walking distance, centre, canals, shops, cinema etc. I recommend to rent a bicycle. It's the best way to explore the city.

There are over 800,000 bicycles in Amsterdam. That’s more bikes than people! Amsterdam regularly comes out on top in lists of the world’s most cycle-friendly cities, and there’s no finer way to explore the city’s streets, canals and attractions than by pedal power.

Summer: If you have the time, it's wonderfull to cycle down south the Amstel river (Amstel is the river from which the city of Amsterdam gets its name), beautiful trip, bring stuff for a picknick in the grass. The Amstel River flows throughout the city through the canals, beneath several bridges and flanked by famous landmarks on either side. Cycle along it and enjoy picturesque views of the Dutch countryside, or take a stroll at dusk when city lights and glistening waters etch a beautiful memory.

I will try to answer as soon as possible
Possibly when you will arrive a close friend of mine will welcome you. Considering I'll be on a holiday as well or sometimes I will leave the keys of my apartment at the neighbour.
