Frans' place is one of the best spaces we've booked at airbnb so far! It's tucked away from the main city centre so you can enjoy quiet time here but near to the Ecuplein tram station so exploring the city is just about 15-20 min away. Frans took the trouble to equip the place with hotel-like amenities but it still exudes a sense of home away from home. Would love to be back here!

Our stay was fantastic! Frans' place was exactly like the pictures, maybe even better! We enjoyed the walk around the neighbourhood, away from the hustle and bustle from the city. Frans left us celebratory Christmas champagne and a nice little parting gift. The boathouse is well equipped with everything needed for the stay. Frans was accommodating with our schedules with flight delays and all. We're missing the place as we type and will be back if we get a chance!

Lovely experience in this unique boathouse with Frans. They are a great host, Frans did airport transfers for us with a small fee and they prepared some food for us as we checked in late! Thank you for hosting us!!

Frans and his wife were incredibly kind and helpful from the moment we pulled up. Frans came to meet us at the front gate and showed us around the space. He had all sorts of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat and how to get around. The bikes came in very useful even though we rented a car (biking in Amsterdam is much easier than driving in it). The space was beautiful and tranquil, a welcome respite after exploring all day. We would 100% return for another stay!

If you're looking to explore Amsterdam but still have a nice, cozy, quiet place to return to in the evening, Frans' airbnb should be at the top of your list. The space itself is very modern and stylish. While not a huge house, it is definitely a good pick for two people. The back of the living room opens up to the river/canal, where many ducks/swans would greet us in the morning (my wife loved that). The bedroom was very comfortable. Good size bed, desk area, and plenty of closet space for keeping your clothes. The bathroom had a nice shower, and I'm fairly certain the floors have some sort of heating in them (though I did not check with Frans, it felt like it though). My only very very slight quibble is that it is a little bit of a hike to central Amsterdam. About a 15 minute walk to the tram, then usually 20 minutes on the tram into Amsterdam. However, it is extremely easy and cheap. I think an Uber is about 12-15 Euro from Frans' house to the main part of Amsterdam. Plus, Frans has bikes to use if you want to bike into town instead. The house was stocked with champagne, beer, some soda, and nice local snacks for us as well. Frans also gave us a ride to and from the airport, which was awesome! Overall, I would definitely stay at Frans' again. It's a great way to experience Amsterdam, and Frans does everything he can to make you feel right at home.
