This is a very nice, clean space. Fabian is a very responsible host. Might not be the best place if you're a night owl, or want to party. Great for basic accommodations while exploring Chicago.

Response from Fabian:
Thanks! Yep, not the best place if you are a night owl or party, I agree. Quiet, residential area.

Fabian was a great host ! The house was clean and bed was comfortable. The location was a little far from downtown activities but Rodgers park had a bunch of fun things to do and good places to eat. Easy check in and out. A great Inexpensive option for the Chicago tourist looking for a new experience!

It's a really good place to spend nights but little bit fare to downtown

Fabian's place is super sweet. Well appointed, has all of the essentials, and close to public transit. Fabian is excellent at communicating and solving whatever issues. Ditto previous comment about the water pressure, though. One morning there wasn't enough for the shower to turn on, but shower worked all other times. I stayed for 3 night's, but would come back for a longer and/another stay. In addition, can't beat the price!

Response from Fabian:
Thanks Marina for the water shower tips. It was fixed now. Thanks for staying!

This place is super great. The neighborhood is quaint and there are good eats galore within walking distance. Parking can be tricky, but that's Chi town for ya. Honestly, the best part of this place is the host. Fabian is a sweet dude who is incredibly hospitable and helpful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

The room was just as I expected from the pictures! The home was very clean and well kept - albeit a littler further out of town than I really wanted. (It's a 30-minute car ride or 1-hour train ride from O'Hare and/or Downtown.) The floor creaked a bit but what can you expect from an almost 100-year old home?! My only real complaint is that the bed sheets were a bit of a rough texture and I got a rub burn on my leg during the night... Otherwise, it was a great first Airbnb experience! Fabian was an excellent host! His communication was timely and thorough but he did not send more messages than necessary! 10/10 would recommend.

Response from Fabian:
Thank you Ann-Marie for your detailed feedback and your 5-star rating. I love my noisy hardwood floors too! They are part of the charm of a castle from the 1920s. About the train ride to downtown, you can have a 30-min ride to the Loop by using the Purple Line from nearby Howard station. The Purple Line (or the Evanston Line) runs express from Howard Station to Belmont Station in Lakeview, and then makes local stops to the Loop. It is a panoramic "L" train with elevated tracks that runs completely above ground, which zigzags its way through the neighborhoods of Lincoln Park and Near North Side. When at the Loop downtown, a stop is made at the Merchandise Mart before crossing the Chicago River on the upper level of the Wells Street Bridge, then joining Loop elevated panoramic views at Lake Street. About the bed sheets, I'm definitely planning an upgrade as soon as Airbnb gives me a raise! LOL

Fabian was very nice and helpful. The place is close to subway station (10-15 min walk to Howard Station). The room looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean.
