Naspadda Lodge is set on 14 acres of unspoiled countryside in Derrykinlough, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo. The property boasts 5 spacious bedrooms, 4.5 baths, large kitchen, two living areas and a fully equipped utility room. The recently added large studio facility, which is fully kitted with yoga equipment, makes this property an ideal location for group retreats such as yoga, arts and writing weekends. The studio is also equipped with instant on heaters permitting hot yoga sessions. Total privacy!

The space
Naspadda Lodge is set among 14 acres of unspoiled countryside in the townland of Derrykinlough, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo. It was originally a modest working farm and cottage that has now been totally modernized and tastefully extended to the highest standards. The modernization includes central heat throughout the house via in-floor and radiator heating. The property is securely located behind wrought iron gates, thus insuring total privacy for guests.

The original cottage has been retained and incorporated in the property that boasts 5 spacious bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, ground floor TV/playroom and fully equipped utility room. The main living/kitchen/dining area is situated on the first floor. The kitchen has every appliance and convenience necessary to afford our guests all the comforts of home.

From the living area, that is flooded with natural light from the many windows and skylights, you can access the split level deck for dining on those warm evenings or simply enjoying the views of the rolling countryside and our private lake , Lough Naspadda, ( from which the lodge derives its name ).

The brand new multi purpose studio is ideal for yoga, arts, writing and meditation retreats and is fully kitted with yoga equipment. The studio also is equipped with instant on heaters allowing for hot yoga sessions, a very unique offering for such facilities in Ireland. When the property is booked to utilize the studio, the beds in the house can be reconfigured to accommodate singles instead of couples. The two super king beds can be replaced with up to three single beds in each of the two large bedrooms accommodating up to 12 beds total. Important: When booking to property to utilize the studio please email the owner before booking the property as there is an additional fee to utilize the studio.

The property is just a 10 minutes drive from Ireland West International Airport and a pick up service is available for guests traveling from abroad. The town of Kiltimagh is less than 2 miles away and has a couple of large supermarkets, 2 hotels, churches and of course a selection of pubs offering the warmest of welcomes.

The town of Castlebar is just 20 minutes drive west and has been completely transformed in latter years. Now the shopping capital of the northwest it also has a seemingly endless array of restaurants and eateries offering local and international cuisine to suit every taste.

Another 20 minutes west brings you to the cosmopolitan town of Westport. A must see for all visitors and of course our famous holy mountain , Croagh Patrick. For those who feel energetic enough the climb is a must and on a fine day the views from the top over Clew Bay are breath taking. You never know you may even meet some more penitent pilgrims who choose to climb in their bare feet…. !!!!!!

The world renowned River Moy is again only 20 minutes from the property. One of the most productive wild Atlantic salmon fisheries in Europe, it attracts fishing enthusiasts from all corners of the world. Traveling north from Kiltimagh towards Foxford you first encounter the river at Ballylaghan Bridge. From there you can follow its coarse right to its estuary in Ballina and the famous Ridge Pool. Many an hour can be spent on the bridge watching the salmon jumping and maybe spotting the odd famous face . Tiger Woods is a regular visitor, usually around British Open time.

Other nearby visitor attractions include Downpatrick Head, the Ceide Fields, Knock Shrine and Museum , Achill Island, Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Gardens and the Wild Atlantic Way. Additionally there are many quality links golf courses within an hour of the property including Enniscrone Golf Club, Westport Golf Club, Castlebar Golf Course and many more.

Guest access
Guest have access to the main house and adjoining land. The main barn has been converted to a beautiful studio ideal for yoga, arts, writing and meditation retreats. If you wish to utilize this facility for your group please contact the owner for special pricing. The other sheds are used by the owner for equipment and storage and are locked.

Other things to note
A separate self contained fully equipped retreat studio has just been added to the property. This studio is intended to be utilized for groups such as yoga arts, writing and meditation retreats and is not included in the standard pricing for the property. Access to the studio requires an additional fee and is by request only. Please email owner for special pricing.
