This is a wonderful location in a rural hamlet. Good local store and pub, not to mention the cheese shop! The cottage is superb, very warm and the coal fire adds great atmosphere. Spotless clean with lovely touches such as tea, milk and biscuits. A real home from home!

Perfect accommodation for 4of us to meet up and relax. The cottage has a lovely feel to it, was warm and cosy with everything you could possibly need. All the extras were much appreciated like tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits. Cling film, foil and baking paper also provided which is a rarity but was most welcome as we cooked for ourselves to make full use of the cottage. The kitchen is delightful with everything you could need. We didn’t get chance to use the outdoor table and chairs on the lawn as it was chilly October weather but in the summer this would be a lovely place to eat outside. The beds were really comfortable with nice bedding. WiFi good. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful bathroom. Log fire made for great nights in relaxing after days on the Tissington and Manifold bike trails and wonderful walks straight from the door. Overnight storage for our bikes was useful too. Even though we had to leave by 10am on our last day we were able to leave our luggage secure to make full use of our final day. Thankyou for a wonderful place to stay.

Lesley left lots of lovely touches in the cottage, face wipes, tissues, plenty of tea & coffee. The coal fire was already prepared and was lit easily with a match. The cottage was in a great location to explore the peaks. It was a comfortable space for the 6 of us with ample seating and beds. My friend hadn't stayed in an airbnb property before and is already planning another trip. Thank you for having us.

We had a great stay at Beech Cottage. We met Lesley on our arrival and were made to feel welcome. The cottage and garden was really well kept and, importantly for us with both a 5 and a 1 year old, felt secure and safe. Lesley had thought of many small touches that so often lack in cottages - particularly welcome after a long journey. There was milk, condiments, washing products (for laundry and dishwasher) and clear, but by no means overbearing, instructions for appliances, heating, bins, keys, parking etc. The cottage sits very close to the small number of village stores, cafes and pubs in Hartington. The village itself was 2 mins from the main Buxton to Ashbourne road. A great location for exploring that area of the Peak District. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend.
