POWER
We are off the grid and are 100% solar. Power is stored in batteries produced by the solar panels. During the spring and summer, plenty of energy is available for use throughout the day and night. At night please limit use to 2 lights on and only use receptacles for charging cell phones, or computers (no overnight charging please). Appliances are strictly restricted, toasters, coffee makers, blenders, hair dryers, curling irons all draw too much power and will shut the system down. A fan in the kitchen can be used during the day under full sun. Instructions will be provided in case of power overuse.

WATER
Water is precious in the desert, ours is drawn from a local well and delivered to our ranch. To conserve water please limit showers to 5 minutes and only 1 per day. Please be water conscious while brushing teeth and washing dishes.

This house is wonderful, if you are looking to really escape but be close to Pioneertown then this is the place. This is not a house in the neighborhood surrounded by others with the 'promise' of a desert escape, this is the real deal. It has all the comforts you need (including wifi) while being off grid. We can't wait to return and take over the whole place with our friends. The house is clearly loved and cared for and our host was fantastic.

Susie's Ranch is truly a wonderful desert oasis. The location is excellent, the perfect place to get away from the constant noise and light of the city. We stayed only a day but it felt like much longer. Also, try to catch a show at Pappy and Harriets if you can, great venue! I'd highly recommend this place to anybody looking to spend some time in the high desert. Thanks Susie!

Unless you are booking all 3 places you will be sharing the area and the bathhouse with other people. The location is secluded but you won't get he privacy you were thinking. For the price I paid I expected more.
