Fully renovated to the studs in 2016, our family vacation home is situated on the beachfront road within Rockaway Beach. It is immaculately appointed with everything you'd need for the perfect beach vacation, and direct west-facing views of the Pacific Ocean for sunset views from the expansive deck. Ideally situated, with 8 miles of sandy beach only 40 yards away, it is only a quarter mile stroll in to the town center with several great restaurants, and plenty to keep the kids occupied.
The property is a detached two storey, two bedroom, 1.5 bathroom house that abuts N Pacific. There is a vacant beachfront lot in front, which provides fantastic views of the Pacific from the upper levels in all rooms (and the expansive deck).
The property was purchased in early 2016 and has been completely renovated inside and out (renovated to the studs internally, and externally with new siding, high efficiency windows, garage doors, external large deck above the garage). The floors, kitchens and bathrooms are newly installed in 2016.
The kitchen is fully stocked from utensils/cookware perspective, with cooking options of a full hob/grill/oven, microwave, or propane grill on the deck. You are welcome to use any provisions in the cupboards.
We have a good home entertainment set up - with wireless internet, an LCD TV, a Roki (with Netflix and Spotify subscription) and Apple TV (with access to all our personal purchased iTunes movies). There is also a great portable bluetooth wireless speaker for streaming music around the house.
The external landscaping is currently low key "basic coastal" and will be fully landscaped in late 2017, but will not detract in any way from where you'll spend all time - either socializing or admiring the view from inside the house, or at the local beach / town center.
The property is one of two on the same lot, located at the front of the lot. The rear property is not currently used and will be renovated internally in late 2017, and is located out of the way approximately 20 yards behind this house with no obstruction to view or access. You will have the whole lot to yourself.
You have access to the entire property, with access via a main entrance with lock box or two garage door openers.
Interaction with guests
We are normally based in Portland, but are available by phone/text if questions, and have local emergency help if required.
Other things to note
Do expect if traveling from Portland to go through a period of no cell phone reception along Highway 6, for about 30 minutes from Glenwood (when route 6 starts its ascent in to the Coastal range) until you emerge before Tillamook.
If like us, this will give you ample time to transition completely from city living to laid back coastal time, and be truly relaxed when you arrive at the house. I cherish those 30 minutes, and what I know is on the other side.
