Bristol, United Kingdom

Clifton is a place I moved to with my family in 1978. It has always been a friendly place with a large variety of people. Students who keep it lively. Families whose children attend the 3 or 4 primary schools in the area. Professional people running architects practises, artists, gardeners, plenty of musicians, and many women who run businesses. It has always felt to me like a special place where things happen. As there are loads of restaurants and café's, bars, woman and men's clothes shops, Bristol's amazing ZOO, the Camera Obscura on the Downs, the Avon Gorge (with protected and unique plants and birds) there are as you can see lots of place to go and see. The major one I leave till last - The Suspension Bridge. I can genuinely only enthuse about my neighbourhood.

I very much enjoy being a host. Meeting people from far off or near keeps me in touch with the world!! Sounds a bit grand - but it is inspiring and helps keep life in perspective.
During your stay
I greet my guests and explain how the room and their accommodation works. If they want information about Bristol - I tell them what I know. I try and help with whatever they need
