This sweet garage apt in the heart of Houston's museum district with on street parking. Walk to restaurants, museums, grocery stores; bus lines lead directly downtown. Cute, simple accommodations with a full kitchen stocked with staples. It is a 1920s apartment and cozy.

The space
This is in one of Houston's most wonderful, walkable neighborhoods - Montrose. It includes wireless/internet. Parking is on the street, which is abundant.

Location

Houston, Texas, United States

We are five blocks from the world famous Menil Museum, including the Rothko Chapel and Cy Twombly Hall.

You can walk to H.E.B. or Trader Joe's. Walk ten minutes longer -- or drive 4 minutes -- to Whole Foods.

Neighborhood favorite, walkable restaurants include Brasil (coffee shop/restaurant), Paulie's (pasta), Hugo's (upscale, delicious Mexican), Mark's (upscale American), Common Bond (upscale, delicious bakery), Empire Cafe (coffee, food), The House of Tea... There is a giant selection of good food within a five minute drive, as well. If you have favorite types of food just ask and we can direct you. Off the top of my head: Pondicherri is amazing nouveau-Indian food; La Guadalupana fantastic, quaint; Mai's or Les Givral's Vietnamese (a bit further, just downtown); Luigi's pizza (Houston chic) or Star Pizza (deep dish cheesy) or Romano's Pizza (New York); or Brasil (more itallian thin crust, less cheese).

Eight minute drive to Museum of Fine Arts, Contemporary Arts Museum, Contemporary Craft Museum.

Ten minue walk to Cherryhurst Park or Erwin Ciao Park. Ten minute drive to giant city park called Herman Park (Houston Zoo is there). Fifteen minute drive to Memorial Park with trails etc, and the Houston Arboretum.

Fifteen minutes by car to the Houston Medical Center, and to Downtown -- neither need you to get on a freeway.
