**Stay safe at this clean house with private backyard -- low nightly rates** As charming as the house is, the proximity to all the best of New Orleans is what really makes this place special and wonderful. The house is a traditional shotgun layout, very typical of homes of this era in New Orleans. That means there is no hallway; one room leads directly to the next (with a door between them) and a bathroom at the end of the house. Most guests enjoy the uniqueness of this Victorian layout, but it may not be suitable for all. *House is for sale so small possibility of showings during your stay*

“On a quiet residential street, it's the perfect launch pad for exploring nearby bars and jazz clubs.”

Although the Marigny is some of the highest ground in New Orleans, there are occasional flash floods during heavy rain events. The house will not flood, but the street can take on a foot or two of water and may put some vehicles at risk. Be aware of any rain storms when parking in the neighborhood and if others are moving their cars to the neutral ground (slightly higher land in the middle of the streets), then follow suit and do the same.

Regarding New Orleans, if it was only the architecture, music and food... that would be enough to last me for the rest of my life. But it's so much more than that. I've stayed at Airbnb's all over the world, so I wanted to open my home to guests and share that same hospitality that I've received for years.
