Location

Canggu, Bali, Indonesia

The listing is at the very heart of Berawa, Canggu only 2 minutes away from the beach and in walking distance to the trendy cafés and restaurants of Berawa. Favourite breakfast options include: Satu Satu, Cinta café, Hungry Bird, Coffee ‘n Oven and Ruko café. For lunch we recommend: Milu by Nook, vegan Peloton Supershop and Nude. For pizzas to die for, try Milk and Madu and La Baracca. For top notch sushi go to Koi, Tygr or the more expensive Indigo and Ink in Tamora Gallery.

Hi my name is Anna. I am originally from Greece and have been living in Bali since 2013. I love traveling and meeting new people and that’s why I started working for the hospitality sector. I have a background in economics and have worked in consulting for 10 years. My life took a strange twist when I first came to Bali in 2012 and fell in love with the place. I ended up living in the island from 2013 and have never regretted this decision. I am here to make your life easier when deciding to rent a villa. Specifically, I have selected a list of few villas mainly in Canggu, where I live, and one or two in Seminyak. I personally know the owners and villa managers of the villas and have stayed there myself before recommending them to anyone else. What started off as a hobby mainly for myself and friends coming over to visit in Bali, became a full time job. I am always excited when I find a new villa that is worth marketing. However, as I am quite picky, very few of them pass the actual test and are profiled on my villa list. Apart from the villas I market, I can also help you get around in Bali. I can provide additional services (that from my 5-year experience you most probably need especially if you come in a group) such as pick up/drop off from the airport, car with driver rental for day trips, organization of lunches / dinners / barbecues as well as mini wedding ceremonies at the villas. I provide these services at no extra charge, with the only aim to facilitate you and save you from a lot of hassle while on vacations in Bali. Also below, a list of my favourite places to eat, go out, enjoy pampering massages or yoga classes and surf lessons in Canggu: Jalan Batu Bolong – main road of Canggu: The majority of restaurants and bars in Jalan (=street) Batu Bolong start at the cross road where Deus is located: •Betelnut & Veda: organic food, mixture of Indonesian and international cuisine. If you want to go to Betelnut, do book a table by calling few hours before, as it tends to get busy •Deus: just opposite Betelnut. Together with Betelnut, Deus is one of the first places to open in Canggu. Concept store including bar, restaurant as well as surf board & clothing store with live music every Sunday •Warung Dandelion: Indonesian food, nice ambience, mainly for dinner •Warung Bumi: Indonesian food, for lunch •Mr Spoon: near Betelnut, french bakery, also nice for brunch •Lacalita Bar: towards the beach of Batu Bolong, Mexican food and music •Old Man’s @Batu Bolong beach: bar with live music every Friday and where you can also eat fast food type food •The Lawn: relatively new place by the beach with grass, perfect for a bintang (local beer) or sunset coconut or dinner, located between Batu Bolong and Old Man’s beach •Shady Shack – same owner as Betelnut – located on the tiny road behind Deus , organic food, mixture of Indonesian and International cuisine, @Jl. Tanah Barak No.57, Canggu •Café Organic & Avocado & Crate Café : highly recommended for brunch Echo Beach: If you fancy fresh fish barbecue, do try the three restaurants at Echo Beach and treat yourself a Gaya ice cream – local ice-cream with interesting flavours made in Ubud. Sand Bar @Echo Beach, an after party beach bar open every Sunday. For the young at heart, I always suggest a not so lazy Sunday outing that starts with a Betelnut dinner continues @Deus live music and ends in Sand Bar after party. Rice field road that connects Batu Bolong & Berawa Beach @Jalan Subak Canggu: •Pretty poison: alternative bar with skate rump and live music once per week for a younger audience. Also on selected days there is movie projection •Cloud 9: Organic brunch and lunch with ricefield view Jalan Pantai Berawa: •Finns: by Berawa beach, beach bar restaurant with pool, quite noisy, good if you are in a party mood •Hungry Bird next to the ricefield shortcut: best value for money brunch and best coffee in Bali. Hungry Bird is closed every Sunday •Ruko café: near Berawa beach, recommended for brunch •Warung Heboh: Indonesian warung for lunch •Berawa Kitchen: opposite hungry bird, a grass area surrounded by canteens that sell different types of food to please all tastes from hot dogs to Indonesian food •The Creamery: interesting ice cream concept, ice cream is made in front of you by mixing raw ingredients (milk, cookies etc) and nitrogen Also nice near Berawa beach @Jl. Raya Pantai Berawa: •Cinta Café & Milk and Madu: for a brave brunch •Peloton: vegan place nice for brunch and lunch, closed for dinner •Satu-Satu Coffee Company: value for money brunch and lunch For massages I would recommend: •Therapy at Echo Beach – also nail polish available •The massage place at Hotel Kirana at Jalan Batu Bolong •Maria Curau: for massage & vegan nail polish @Jl. Munduk Kedungu No.45, Pererenan Apart from the above there are plenty of massage places @Jalan Batu Bolong and around Canggu, while generally massages are quite cheap at 150.000 IDR (around 10 euros) for one hour. Kids activities: •Berawa Kitchen, Milk & Madu, Cinta café, Satu-Satu coffee company have play areas for kids. Satu-Satu has an inner play area, while Milk & Madu, Cinta café and Berawa Kitchen have outside playgrounds. Berawa Kitchen also has mini basketball •The Lawn is also good for kids as it has grass and floating toys and a trampoline •Canggu Club @Jalan Canggu Club has plenty of activities for kids including a water park, bounce castle & trampolines, bowling, swimming pool, tennis and football court. Please note that it is a bit pricey. Canggu club also organises play groups •Play groups are also organised by various kindergardens in Canggu such as the The Garden, Early Learning Centre. Expect Western pricing •Activities such as horse riding, cooking classes, Balinese offering making class etc can be easily organised. Just inbox me and I can help For yoga: •Samadi @Jalan Padang Linjong (road that leads to Echo Beach) •The Practice: my very favourite @Jalan Batu Bolong •Desaseni @Jl. Subak Sari No.13. Apart from yoga, Desaseni also has a massage parlour, accommodation and lunch and dinner options •Serenity @Jl. Nelayan, Canggu For surfing: If you are interested in surf lessons we have our own surf school. For more information, please check surfisupbali. We offer semi-private and private lessons.
