The apartment is based in a very quiet street right in the heart of the city on the Pest side of the Danube. It is a very short walk away from the famous landmarks Elizabeth and Chain bridge which you can cross to reach the historical Buda side of the city. Just around the corner from the apartment is Deák tér, the central city square, which is the main transport hub for the city and around which the nightlife of Budapest radiates. Much of that nightlife takes place in Budapest's famous ruin pubs, clustered around the more upmarket Gozsdu courtyard, and this party district is also easily reachable on foot. In equally easy walking distance is Váci utca, Budapest’s main shopping street; Andrássy út, the city’s most elegant avenue; and Gerbeaud, a refined and elegant traditional Hungarian coffee shop. For those who appreciate arts and culture, the Opera House, the National Museum and Europe’s largest synagogue are also all within a few-minute walk.
