Poor Reyume was dealing with some very difficult personal issues but she was still accommodating and gracious. The place was clean and in a great location and the bed was comfortable. The only thing is that you can't control the temperature, so it was uncomfortably warm for us, so much so that it was hard to sleep. Anyone that's not used to the humidity might have a hard time.

Reyume was an amazing host. Reyume communicated with us well without any delay. Furthermore, her apartment was clean, comfortable, and well priced! The perfect location and a few blocks away from the national mall!

Perfect little apartment for vacation. The location could not be more fantastic for the price. Resume was very helpful with navigating the neighborhood, providing information; she was also wonderfully understanding and accommodating when I got stuck in traffic, which delayed my check-in by at least an hour. This place is in a great location. It is a simple walk to Farragut west metro station, and the building is quiet. You are very close to many attractions so there is some street noise at night, but nothing a typical city mouse would be distracted by. A great little deli directly across the street with tasty bulgogi! The place is spotless and sparse, and I found it perfect. A table and chairs would be a nice addition, but all in all, a gem! Reyume is attentive and unobtrusive at the same time!!! Would most definitely stay again!!!

This is a great space. I got here with a Lyft for less than $10 from the airport. It's close to the monuments and national mall. I walked one day and took a city bike the next day. The bike dock station less than 2 blocks away. That being said the place is close to downtown so if you are a light sleeper you might need earplugs. The room and bath are clean and accurate to the photos. For a private room in DC this is a large space. The patio is nice and I was even able to get wifi out there. Diane and Garon are great hosts. Made sure I had everything I needed. They even let me check in early and drop my bags off as soon as I got into town. I had other friends and family visit around the same time and stay at other Airbnbs but my Airbnb experience was by far the best.

Garon and Diane keep the room tidy and clean. The bed is very comfortable and the courtyard is a nice addition, as it expands the feel of the room's size. Sadly, when I stayed there in April the temperature was an uncharacteristic 95 degrees with high humidity, hardly the kind of weather that invites sitting on a patio. So that feature, which causes the room to cost more, served no tangible benefit other than aesthetics. Neither of the hosts were in town the days I was there, so I didn't have the chance to meet them personally. But Garon kept in contact with me through text. As a result, I had a clear understanding of how to find the house and how to let myself in and out using the security keypad. He was very helpful in guiding me to rental bicycles, and the bottled water and snacks were a welcoming touch. The location of the airbnb is in Southwest DC, which has very few social amenities. The metro is a short walk, making it convenient to travel to the more popular Northwest area, which has a plethora of restaurants, bars, grocery stores and parks that create an attractive night scene. But I didn't always feel like walking to and traveling on metro to find someplace to eat. This is when having kitchen facilities in the airbnb would have been nice. The room rental doesn't include kitchen use. I found the room to be expensive, especially since there is a shared bath and no kitchen facility. The airbnb is, nonetheless, in a nice neighborhood that is pleasant for morning and evening strolls. I felt safe walking alone. The airbnb is next to a freeway, but surprisingly the sounds of cars moving at high speed didn't filter through the windows to keep me awake at night. I chose not to rent a car after Garon told me that it would cost an additional $15/day to get a parking pass. It is far more convenient to take metro than it is to drive and park a car in DC neighborhoods.

Great place to see Washington dc from. You can literally walk to any place in Washington dc from here. Close to transit also if you choose to ride anywhere.

James and Dan were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I had to arrive late due to work, and they were very accommodating with my check-in time. Upon arrival, James met me and directed me to their convenient parking garage. As another user noted, their place is immaculately clean and exactly as described. They left a fruits basket, as well as many toiletries. Although we had to share the bathroom due to remodeling, James made sure to notify me ahead of time, and it was always left spotless. James also made sure to instruct me on directions and how best to use the metro. The place is in a great location - less than 20 minutes to the national mall and just outside Chinatown. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone traveling in the DC metro area!

James was a great host, he met me at the station, suggested places to eat and visit and joined me for a meal one evening. The apartment was lovely, toiletries and fruit in the room were much appreciated. The location is also very good for walking to all the central DC areas. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment and James as a host - would certainly go back if I visit DC again.

Staying with James was a fantastic first Airbnb experience. His care and communication before and during my stay was exceptional and the apartment is located perfectly for the highlights of Washington and close to great transportation links. The photos do not do the room justice and the quiet room included a comfortable bed and a well appointed bathroom. I would happily return when Washington calls!

Jas' location is just outside of China Town and an easy walk to the Mall. Jas did an excellent job communicating with me during my travels. The apartment is very nice with nice amenities and a great view. The walls between neighbors are thin and require you to keep your voice low so as not to disturb them. Overall it was a very nice location and I'd recommend others to stay there!

The accomodation is located near Chinatown, about 4 blocks from the Gallery Place metro station, which made it very convenient to get around the city. There is a secure parking place, if needed. The room is comfortable, clean, with a work table and its own attached bathroom. I was very comfortable.

James is so nice! The day I went there,he told me how to take the metro from DCA to Chinatown in details and he also fetched me there. What's more, the room is really quiet and comfortable served with fruit and drinks! I'm so happy to spend my time there! Next time I'll definitely rent it again if I go to there alone.

James was very helpful and friendly. As other reviewers have written, he was willing to meet me and Union Station so I wouldn't get lost getting to his place. Also, he offered whatever food or beverages he had. The place was very clear and just as described.

James and Dan were great hosts. Their kindness and hospitality were evident from the minute I made my reservation. The space was exactly as described. The location was an easy walking distance to my conference, the Metro, and about anything else a person would need. I'll definitely be looking to stay with them when I return next year.

Utilized this space while in town for a convention. It was a beautiful apartment in a very modern building in a great neighborhood. Very short walk to a ton of restaurants and shopping, and not too far from the majority of major DC attractions. Max was very communicative through out and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great place, walkable to many of Smithsonian museums!

This apartment is more like a hotel rather than someones home, so quite basic but has everything that is needed during travel. There is a concierge in the building so check-in and check-out if very simple. The building also has a nice roof top area and a pool. I would recommend staying here, especially for those on business travel as you are very close both to business districts and most federal institutions.

I booked this room with three friends of mine, and the room we rented looked like the smallest option in the house. The host was very responsive and got back to us pretty quickly before our visit. The listing said there was a queen and twin bed along with an air mattress, but there was only a queen bed with an air mattress. Other than that this listing is alright as long as you're willing to share the place with other guests. This can be an issue because there's only one shower between the three rooms. We spent most of our time outside the house so we used the space pretty much just to sleep, though the living room and kitchen are available to be used if needed.

Everything was as expected. Location is within walking distance of the mall and downtown, especially if the weather's good.

Fantastic location - so easy to get to the mall and all main tourist attractions. Very good value considering the cost of hotels in the core. Walkable and safe neighbourhood - would stay here again. There are other guests in the house and it needs a little worm but in general a very comfortable room to stay in.

Fantastic place! We definitely appreciated the cleanliness and all the amenities included. The studio is spacious and luxurious and within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the National Mall. Being a first-timer to DC we appreciated the proximity to the "capital bikeshare" stations. Great experience, and we would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in seeing the Washington DC sights in a more relaxed, local area.

It's a very good location for tourists since most of the famous museums are within walking distance. Sometimes, It's hard for Uber and Lyft drivers to find the exact location of the apartment. The room is comfortable and clean. Overall, we have a nice experience staying here.

The hosts don't seem to live on site (seem to be property managers) but they are very responsive to reservation detail and when I had difficulty entering as per the arrival instructions they answered my call quickly and helped me to get inside. For those-like me-who enjoy advance travel planning it's a bit unnerving to get access information late the night before arrival, but I totally understand the reason for that. For the price and proximity to major destinations this is a real value but everything is a bit shabby --but it is very clean, and fairly quiet (until someone started talking on the phone in the living area on the first floor at 6:30 a.m.). I like a very hot shower with lots of water pressure and the pressure was low and the highest temp was lukewarm (unlike the sink which got very hot). Staying here does not offer the experience of coming to someone's actual home (that I think is ultimately the real value of Airbnb...) but is a great value for the location and the "hosts" are very responsive.

I was beyond pleased with the room and building overall. Rocky provided quick feedback to questions and concerns and made it very easy to check in. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this property

This was my first airBNB stay. I had a great experience. Rocky was easy to get ahold of if I had questions. It was a little odd sharing a bathroom at first but that feeling went away, never even saw the other people staying here. I came for a conference and the location was perfect! Lots of good food/bars in the area as well. I would stay here again.

It is only 15 minutes walk from the city center, the subway station and the White House. The apartment is clean and the room is recommended.

My children and I had a great time. We stayed for two nights. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Really did feel like a home away from home. Check-in could be a little less tricky. As an exhausted traveler with two children it was a little overwhelming. But all else went well. There was homemade fro-yo (I believe) being sold near the pool in the evening. Seemed to be a hit with residents. The apartment is VERY close (walking distance) to the attractions, monuments, etc. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again.

Overall Dave was a decent host. He was very communicative throughout the stay. The location, building and unit were awesome! It's right in the heart of D.C., close to everything and easy to get anywhere. The building was beautiful with several amenities and felt very safe. The unit was nice with great features such as a washer and dryer and was very clean. However, the description seemed a bit different than the actual unit. There was only one private room in the apartment with two full size beds. The "room" where the queen bed is located is more of an alcove and it does not have it's own private bath. We also were promised two keys during our stay and only had one key that would get us into the building and elevator the entire time. Overall, it was a fine stay.
