We had a wonderful stay here! Mark is a very thoughtful host; he is extraordinarily helpful and welcoming! Mark responses to inquiries quickly and very accommodating! A superb fantastic host! The house is located in a friendly neighbourhood and provides a taste of local living. There is subway close by, very easy to access. Inside, it is HOME SWEET HOME; it appears in the images - tastefully decorated. We had a wonderful week and are so grateful for all the efforts they have prepared ~ with all food, snacks and beverages stock up for you, everything you need to feel satisfied :) You will definitely be able to feel their big Heart! Mark's home is just amazing! It's away from the city (peaceful) but still reachable within 30mins , if you're planning a trip to relax and travel, Mark's place would be the best choice as his home is just beautiful and cozy. A lovely place to rest after a long day of walking, they also have YOU bikes around where you can rent with your metro card and ride along the city or what I'll recommend is to ride along Tamsui River towards Tamsui Station , trust me it's indescribable. Mark is also an amazing Host who's very thoughtful and helpful, he made sure we're in good hands before leaving us to explore Taiwan , if we ever needed his assistance he's a phone away. Mark and Ching are the pinnacle of airbnb hosts! They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and being well traveled themselves they know what travels want and need. Their apartment is beautifully designed and includes Hotel amenities such as toiletries, hard, soft and softer pillow selection, tea, coffee, towels mixed with all the creature comforts of home like cable TV, a comfortable bed, washing machine and bath. The apartment is located in a gated complex and the surrounding area is nice and safe - plenty of great local restaurants and street vendors selling delicious food. Their place is the perfect location for those that want to immerse themselves into the local culture - about a 8min walk to the closest train station and about a 30min train ride into town / 5min ride to the Tamsui. We can't thank Mark & Ching enough for opening their apartment to us and their warm hospitality. We highly recommend staying there if you visit Taipei. Leanne & James

We had a wonderful stay here! Mark is a very thoughtful host, showing us around the resort-like neighbourhood, welcoming us with warm messages on fridge, and of course, recommending excellent restaurants and to-dos nearby. The apartment really gives you the feeling of home, as it's lively decorated, and you can get all the little things you'd find in a home - the milk and juice in fridge, cereal and jam in kitchen, and even sake and wine in cupboard! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing home-like experience in Taipei!

Considering I booked last minute, I got very lucky to find Mark's beautiful place and most important, his warm and superb hospitality. He is also a wealth of information if you are looking for something to do. His communication was spot on before, during and after the reservation, a quality most appreciated. The place itself is modern and clean. There are also additional areas of the complex to view amazing sunsets and relax, a perk for sure! I actually felt at home during my stay. It's in a quiet location way north of taipei, but access to the city is quite easy via the MRT. But the area around the apartment offers everything you would need so you technically don't need to go into the main city. Good hot pot and Beef noodle just down the street! I'm for sure in the future plan on booking here. Thanks again!

its just GREAT! i had everything i needed in the apartment. its clean and comfortable. its a quiet place but at the same time its convenient too. there are 7-11, ok mart and different kinds of restaurants and hawkers selling food nearby. a few minutes walk from the metro. i had a really really good time there n the host, Mark, is a perfectly nice guy! i will surely stay there again next time when i go to taipei!

While we are experienced travelers, this was our first trip to Taipei. Mark provided a true home away from home, which helped make our stay comfortable, pleasant, and uncomplicated. By greeting us at the apartment upon our arrival, providing us with a wide array of breakfast foods including a large selection of fresh fruit, providing guidebooks and maps - including a great little map of the immediate neighborhood - and by offering to assist us with any concerns or questions we may have, Mark made us feel welcome, well cared for, and at ease. Mark's home had absolutely everything we needed - we truly felt no want or need of anything. We would definitely recommend Mark's home away from home for first time or seasoned travelers - you won't be disappointed.

Host welcomed us warm and friendly. Very helpful host. The view of this room is splendid! Awesome room. Super comfy bed. And the room and house is very clean. Actual experience and view is much better than in the picture. Very cosy and nicely renovated house. Very near to MRT station, convenient shops and awesome for food craving. Mike's apartment on the 18th floor overlooks the Tamsui River and Guanyin mountain across. It offers beautiful and tranquil views mornings and evenings. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable when you are the only set of guests. It is located right across from an MRT (Metro) Station, making the coming and going in and out of Taipei extremely convenient. We further enjoyed the local eateries around the apartment complex within 5 minutes of walking distance. Given all these advantages, we found the price for the AirB&B stay to be extremely reasonable!

We had an extremely pleasant stay here. While the place may be slightly further from the city, it was not a problem as it was just a minute walk away from Zhuwei station. Mike and his family (esp his aunt) was welcoming and warm. Mike's aunt was very passionate as she shared with us places to go, while Mike was always responsive and available online. All in all, Mike and his family was the perfect Taiwanese host family! We are very blessed to have had such an experience.

Mike is a heartwarming host. The appartment is new and has greaaaaat river view. Really enjoy seeing the sunset or nightlife during easy dinner at home. Metro is just downstairs. It takes about half an hour to downtown Taipei. But I still prefer staying with Mike. I've tried other old appartments in downtown Taipei, which are small and old. Will definitely stay here again and try the hotspring nearby.

If you love the view of Danshui, this is the place to be! I really enjoy admiring the view at my own pace in the living room every morning. The house is conveniently located with lotsa eateries, convenience store, just a mere 5 minute walk to the Zhu Wei (竹圍)MRT station on the red Danshui line. I also like that there's a security man station at the building, that made me feel really safe. I only met Mike's wife and Mike's aunt and they are both really nice and stay in the same building too. Thanks Mike for the great stay!

Good place ti stay

刚刚装修的房子,房东Dusty把房间收拾的非常干净,房间隔音很棒,完全听不到客厅、隔壁的声音。很安全高档的小区,最惊喜的是走路两分钟到官渡捷运站,去哪里都非常方便。最后不得不说说房东,热情到晚上十二点给我煎牛排吃,和这样又帅有会做东西吃的房东在一起完全和自己家里一样感觉亲切,下次来台北一定还会来这里。

Dusty 是个小帅哥哦,说话非常温柔,而且非常非常体贴细心,前一天就会主动问你行程,而且驾车接来捷运站接你,然后会询问你有没有吃饭,带你去附近找好吃的,买水买生活用品。捷运站离家也非常近,走路一分钟,小区非常高档和安全,装修是个人非常喜欢的无印良品风,而且屋子超级干净,都是Dusty自己打扫的,这个非常加分,要给他比心。和他聊天也是非常轻松自在,就像一个家人一个朋友一样的存在,非常喜欢他非常喜欢这个家,而且他也会给你推荐游玩路线,如果下次再来台湾,我还要找Dusty。

Our stay at Michael's place made our Taiwan vacation absolutely hassle free! His place is situated at an area where you would not have to worry about spending so much time and effort going to the public transport means because his house is near the MRT Station. The place is also only a few blocks away from the restaurant scene. There's 7eleven and watsons in front of the building. His house is clean and has the "home" feels in it. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the people living in the vicinity are very nice and warm. Highly recommended!

First and most important is that the host is an amazing guy. He is very friendly and helpful with everything. Speaks very good good English. Second, the apartment is nice. It got a great view everyone should enjoy. Room is nice and very comfortable. It's situated just at the MRT exit so no problem of transportation. Had a wonderful stay. Thanks a lot Mike!!!!

Host is a pretty cool guy who made us feel welcomed. Had the whole apartment to ourselves most of the time as host tend to be at work. Place is clean and has all the amenities that we needed. Place was very homely and a nice place to chill and relax after going out the whole day.

This is my second stay and the place is as impressive as ever- wonderful and attentive host (Miko as well as his aunt), very convenient location with all variety of restaurants (local Taiwanese, Italian, Japanese, western, etc) convenience stores, anything you can think of in the vicinity. In addition, the facility and amenity of the unit are really nice and better than shown in the photos. It represents great value and definitely I will come back again in the future.

Getting to stay at this airbnb and meeting Rey and Hao just might be the best part of my trip to Taiwan. They were accomodating enough to let me book their place even though I asked just a day before, when I needed a place to stay within Tamsui district. Their apartment is easy to get to since it is located within walking distance from the Zhuwei station, and there is a Family Mart downstairs. It’s all very convenient and clean as well. The building seems new and secure, and the view from the window is gorgeous. As hosts, Rey and Hao are such a charming and warm couple, that even though I only just met them, I felt like I was staying with friends. They are very hospitable and thoughtful, and even gave me really useful tips for my trip to Taichung, and the rest of my vacation in Taiwan, which helped me have a better itinerary. I was travelling by myself and I feel lucky that I got to be at their apartment instead of any hostel in the area. The price per night is affordable, and I felt like I got more than what I paid for. Hao gave me two prints of his sketches, and Rey even gave me coffee and toast the following morning, and we had breakfast together before I left for Taichung. I had a really good time with the airbnb and with my hosts. I would try to book here again if I get to come back. It was such a positive experience!

We had good time here. The neighborhood is quite nice. It's quiet, safe, there are shops and markets, it's close to Tamsui. It's a bit of drive to Taipei city, 38 minutes with the metro. But we really liked the Zhuwei area, so it makes up for it. The room was clean and tidy. We felt comfortable. The host took care of us quite well. He took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom once or twice during the week. He was very kind and made us feel welcome.

一整個就CP值超高的啊!在台北住不到1000元的雙人套房真的很難得,wify超快,房間又大又舒服,乾淨、整齊,佈置得很漂亮,晚上把主燈關掉只開落地燈或抬燈超有氣氛的,房東替我們想得很周到,獨立的浴室附有吹風機、毛巾、浴巾、洗髮精、沐浴乳等,簡直就是飯店設備的等級!另外有獨立洗衣機這點比飯店更好!交通方便離捷運站很近(走路5~8分鐘),附近很多美食小吃,有夜市也有超市,買宵夜或零食很方便,夜晚安靜,靜到牆上時鐘的滴滴答答都聽的一清二楚,房東說嫌鐘吵可以把它關掉,哈哈~房東人超好的,會來問我還有沒有需要什麼,下次一定會再來,但要早點預訂不然會排不到!

由于自己的安排出了一点问题,我需要重新订一间房,房东回复得很及时并且依然愿意等到很晚

The way I imagine what AirBNB is intended to be. Ady's place is representative of very tidy local living. It's like stepping into your uncle's apartment that he and your aunt graciously cleaned themselves and invited you to stay at. Remember to be respectful, take off your shoes and practice your Chinese mannerisms. Ady is well-intentioned, communicates well in Mandarin or English. To get from MRT Zhuwei station to the place with luggage, I suggest crossing the street to get a taxi, and tell driver "nan chia tzao" (Southern California) underground, Building C. It's also only a 10 minute walk.

My fiancé and I stayed for 16 days at Ady's place. We arrived late at night with our luggages at the metro station so Ady graciously offered to come pick us up. He gave us instructions about going up an elevator and crossing the sky bridge to find him, we didn't find an elevator so accidentally got out of the station at exit 1 to realize he was meaning exit 2. This was when he called and got really angry at us for not following his directions and was upset he now needs to go around the block to come get us. I was shocked at his rude behavior, the first for any Airbnb host that I've never had (I've stayed in almost 20 Airbnb's around the world). So, the first encounter was terrible. On the first night, we also enquired whether we can pay for an extra one or two people to stay since my cousin was visiting. He immediately got upset again as it is difficult to get blankets for two ppl. I'm still confused how he advertised this place as a four ppl place with extra futon available for the extra two ppl if he doesn't have blankets available for them? Anyway, in the end not wanting to upset Ady again I just got another accommodation for my cousin. After this first night of unpleasant experiences we had minimal contact with Ady as I didn't want to be subject to his rude behavior again. Few days before we departed, I asked about the facilities, such as karaoke and yoga room. I found out that some facilities costed money (this was not specified in the Airbnb advertisement). However, Ady kindly offered us 2x two hour vouchers for the karaoke room. It was then I realized that perhaps Ady is not rude, he just talks that way like a Taiwanese sometimes do with another fellow Taiwanese. And for me, it's just that I cannot comprehend that kind of harsh communication style since I'm not used to the Taiwanese way. I would suspect if you didn't look Taiwanese like I did and didn't speak mandarin, you will not have a problem with Ady, since Taiwanese people are friendly with foreigners. Regarding the place, it is truly as shown on the pictures. My favorite spot is to sit next to the window watching the sunlight reflect off the houses and Dan sui river in front of me. There's plenty of storage space both upstairs and downstairs. Ady had prepared every possible thing that you may need in the house, from cotton buds, to hairdryer to hair clips. There's also extra consumables such as toilet paper so you won't need to worry about those. There is a washer however the coin dryer is in a shared facility in the ground floor. I would say the place was perfect in every way except the shower. The water changes from hot to cold within a few min. The only way to change that is...

The neighborhood is good and with easy access to public transportation and supermarkets. Ady helped us get a simcard with internet which was a great help when we were out exploring Taipei and the surrounding area. I would recommend staying at his apartment.

The apartment was bright and modern, with a soft bed. The location is good, about 8-10 minutes walk from the MRT station. There is a convenience store right downstairs and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Ady was a good host and picked us up when we arrived and dropped us off when we checked out. 〝吾家紅樓〞,一踏入屋內, 散發著文藝氣息。房東〝寫〞在牆上的字體很美。住這交通便利,環境優美, 視野都是綠油油的。 地方足夠3-4人用。設備齊全。如果只留在〝吾家紅樓〞,足不出戶仍可享用所有設施,有泳池、spa、圖書館、兒童遊樂場。 房東真的好nice。下次再來, 應該會再租住。

The breathtaking view of the Danshui waterside can not be overstated. If that is what you are paying for you are getting it. Everything else was as expected. The host was very warm and welcoming. The place was tidy and clean. The decorations and amenities were a bit minimal but we were her first guests and that should upgrade by then I'm sure!

屋內有飼養狼狗,狗狗有點年紀,味道比較重,有用鍊條綁著。雖然關起門來沒甚麼味道,但是早上離開時,狗狗的鍊條卻是鬆開的,完完全全有嚇到我,而且它還一直靠過來!! 房間在二樓,如照片一樣很乾淨,房內的浴室有點小,不適合洗澡。但是有提供另外一間大浴室洗漱。

房間設備不錯!很齊全,東西都很新!

房間跟照片一模一樣,床很大,寢具也很舒適,還有MOD的電影可以看。但交通就稍微不方便一點,末班公車到九點而已,間隔也滿久的,不過可以到竹圍商圈買東西回來吃,商圈食物C/P值很高!還有45塊的超好吃雞排(不小心變食記)。房東很熱情,態度也十分友善。

It was foremost the best experience we have ever had. Jessie and her dad offered everything and extraordinary comfort they could. She even prepared us breakfast with fresh chocolate milk. Staying in here was worth much above the price they've asked for. We couldn't even find a dust or hair on their bed or floor. Cleanliness was outrageously perfect. Our runny nose were magically treated in Jessie's house. Besides, she spend her time walking us around the place. We couldn't ask more for what she have offered. Perhaps, Jessie is a charming and caring person. I guarantee any person travel to here will find it fantastic. Quality was beyond five star hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay in Jessie's home. Jessie and her dad went the extra mile to ensure that we were well settled. We had a good time chatting with her and she made us feel at home. I'll definitely opt to stay at her place again when I visit Taiwan the next time around :)

Hosts are very friendly and helpful, we felt that we are staying in our own place. The location of place is strategic and close to mrt station.

Cheryl and her husband Jim were really warm and helpful! Cheryl took great care in keeping communication on our arrival and how to get there, which was really helpful cos we probably would lost our way hadn't she done so. It was really nice that Jim came to pick us up from the MRT. Both of them gave us a really warm welcome to their home. Their place was just a stone throw away from Zhuwei station, and there were some restaurants and a supermarket we spotted along the way!
