The house is very nice, amazing views, we met all the family and they were amazing and friendly and tried to help us out with any questions we had, definitely a good place to stay.

Riccardo was really receptive. When we arrived, it was late on a Sunday and Riccardo invited myself and a friend to eat with him and his friends. The location is great (you need a car), 15 mins by car from Lamezia. A good base to explore the region. I would stay again!

If you have a car. That is the best place you can stay in lamezia. The hole house is good, spacious, clean. I suggest to go during the summer time. And really need to get a car. Ricardo is a great guy. He resolved all the problems that I had. It's a good place to go on warmer weather.

Exciting. The house is fantastic, modern, pretty and really confertevole. For the price I paid I'm really amazed. The apartment is brand new and very nice. Riccardo is a really friendly and helpful guy. We have created a real relationship of friendship and also invited me to dinner with her at her home making delight of typical Calabrian products that had a unique delicacy. I'll be back !!

Nice place to stay, the place is very quiet ideal for a relaxing holiday. Comfortable. Riccardo was always very helpful and proactive. I highly recommend this host is his home. I will certainly return!

Not what we wanted

Tina, Nicola's mum, welcomed us and made us feel just like home. She showed us around, prepared the fireplace every evening and on the last night, honoured us after our dinner invitation to her. She offered delicious goodies prepared by her. Our bedroom was clean and neat. A bit far up but ok after all! Nicola did all the correspondence in relation to the booking.

I had a great experience staying here. It is a big, beautiful home and very comfortable. Nicola and his mother are very kind and generous. They welcomed me in their home, offered me meals and Nicola introduced me to some friends and took me to beautiful places in Calabria. I highly recommend staying here.

House is very big and amazingly beautiful. It is located high in mountains, so be prepared to go up (and down) every day for at least 15 minutes by car from Lamezia. There is nice bar a few meters away with tasty espresso, but it's more than 10 minutes by car to the nearest supermarket. On the negative side: WiFi was super slow and I was not able to browse the internet. Also, you should learn some Italian before coming, as it is very hard to communicate in English here, while people are great and it's pity to not talk to them. All in all, I had really great stay there. Highly recommended!

I took some time out due to a long spell of ill health and the Green House was the perfect location for my retreat. Nicola has been very helpful & hospitable, and I have felt very comfortable and at ease in the house. The house and village is surrounded by natural beauty. The abundant availability of home grown organic crop has melted my taste buds and has been a definate advantage for detoxing and my overall wellbeing. Would definately come back again.....

We only spent one short night at Nicola before flying to Lamezia, but everything was perfect. Great welcome, facilitated arrival, touches, etc. The house is beautiful, nice garden, perfect room, superb bathroom ... The house is perched on the heights of Lamezia (Fronti), with wonderful views from the terrace. The village is very quiet and pleasant. Thank you!

I've been travelling around Italy for over a month and Raffaele was the most considerate, generous and friendly host. He made sure I was comfortable and wanted for nothing. When you look at listings you can see many AirBnB hosts are missing the point. Not Raffaele; his house is exquisitely updated with authenticity and charm, furnished with family antiques and stocked with produce from his gardens. I will definitely come back if in the region.

Altilia location, perfect. Well connected to the highway, quiet, quiet and cool people in a traditional building, but with modern amenities. Raffaele, is a perfect host.

The streets of the small mountain village of Altilia still carry a bygone time in itself. Anyone looking here a place to sleep, can make sure the only tourist to be warmly received by the open-minded and friendly village Communities. Before the day awakes and kissed the sun and the mountains of Altilia, the call of the rooster breaks the silence of the fading night. Barking and cowbells daytime a constant companion in the peaceful harmony of the sleepy valley. When the day of the end, climb the crickets in this symphony one with. Raffaele's apartment is located on the steep southern slope Altilias. From bathrooms and bedrooms, a panorama opens over the vegetable garden to the valley, which vainly seeks his equal in beauty and perfection. The carefully landscaped garden is in its south facing all day of warm sunshine caresses. Between grapes, eggplant and hazelnuts can sit, lie, to sunbathe and to relax really sleep the soul. Those in search of rest or maybe you want to spend with your loved ones a few days relaxing, far from the stress of the hectic everyday life, in the beautiful nature of Calabria, this is the place in Raffaele's small home. We had a wonderful experience. We were looking for a place in the Calabria area to take day trips to Sicily, Cosenza and others. It's perfect, and we were in the heat of the summer season, but the top floor has wonderful views and great breezes to beat the heat. Our host's parents were there to greet us and made sure everything was perfect. We walked to the town center a couple of afternoons and enjoyed the spectacular views, and some exciting card games by the locals. Everything in the part meant was well thought thru. We cooked a couple a dinners and ate on the terrace, watched the twinkling lights of the villages on the other mountaintop so nice, very quiet and peaceful. If we pass that way again, we will stay at Paolo's place for sure.

Paolo met us at the front of the house. It was quite late and we couldn't find the house, although we passed it several times without knowing! He gave us the tour of a clean two bedroom/two bath apartment. In the morning, we awoke to a beautiful view! The town was very sweet, with a few shops and bars, a playground (which our son loved) and some lovely old arches, streets and buildings. Paolo was quick to respond when we needed help (hot water one night needed to be reset, needing more drying space for our clothes and we asked to borrow a frying pan). He was also good at suggesting places to visit nearby. We wished that the weather had complied more with us so we could've explored the area more. We would like to return to see what else the area has to offer. :-)

Paul was a very kind and helpful. The house is very cozy, nestled in a valley with a beautiful view. The house is perfectly corresponding to the photos that the host has. ideal for those who want to spend time relaxing poo. Perfect house for a couple, very cozy and romantic; also ideal for those of us went with a group of friends.

The village is really nice and rustical! The house is actually really nice but it seemed not to be cleaned before our arrival, there was always a moldy smell in the house and it was really dirty especially the toilet and the shower!

Vincenzo picked us at the airport in the evening, and was very flexible about the check out, grazie! The flat is at the upper part of Nicastro, a very quiet, real calabrian home, a couple of minutes walk from main square, and about a walkable 15 minutes from train station. Nicastro is beautiful, with lovely people!
