Brilliant stay in a lovely clean home. We even had a beer each set out for us on arrival after a days skiing. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful thank you, lovely space, large communal areas, well equipped kitchen, well heated, great location with free parking! Only a 15 walk to the nearest village with cafes and a pub!

We enjoyed a lovely weekend away with friends. Excellent facilities, all the kitchen utensils you could need, lovely hot powerful showers, an impressively kitted out home gym and very lovely hosts. Will definitely be recommending this place.

The cottage is a well-thought out renovation that maximises the amenity of the 3 bedrooms - each with its own ensuite. Wishing we had more time to explore the local area, there its quite a bit of history, with Roman bridges and fields with lots of pheasants wondering around.

Wow this place is amazing. Bette than in the pics and I thought the pics looked good. It's so cozy and unique. The view and surrounding area stunning. The facilities are great. The kitchen is so well equipped and there are lots of nice homely features. The log burner is great. So easy to use and there is ample wood supplied. The shower is great, powerful and hot. The bed is sooooooo comfy and the bedroom was heated with just an electric heater but it was so warm and cozy even when it was below freezing outside. It's also in a great location , just 5 minutes from a good size town , but also far out enough to hit some great walks and countryside from your doorstep. Lachlan took the time to show us around too and is very friendly. I would definitely reccomend this place to anyone

Lovely, peaceful place to stay, ideal for the Cairngorms and Glenshee, or just relaxing in the comfort of the loft. Our family of 4 visited in winter and it was very cozy once the wood stove was up and running. Great facilities throughout.

A home away from home with all the necessary amenities. Close enough to town to get supplies but far enough away that you feel like you are getting away from it all. The wood heater was great for warmth and atmosphere. Can’t wait to stay again.

I can't recommend Balintore Castle enough. It is one of the most incredible places to stay. It is in the middle of nowhere in the Scottish highlands overlooking some of the most beautiful landscapes imaginable. The castle is incredible with a host to match. When you stay there you truly feel as though you stepped back in time yet still retain all the modern conveniences of an airbnb. The rooms were spacious and well furnished. The floors were heated and the bathroom had a gigantic tub. The food was delicious and there was even wifi out in the middle of nowhere. David the host went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and even gave us an in depth tour of what he was working on in the unfinished portion of the house. If you're visiting Scotland and want to see its more rugged wild side, book your stay at Balintore. You won't regret it.

Wonderful experience! Such a treat to stay in Balintore Castle and David was a wonderful host. Felt welcome right away and so fortunate to be living the life of a real Scottish Laird and Lady for two nights. The castle and views are just magical. A truly great experience all around.

My husband, friend, and I stayed at Balintore for 2 nights in February. We had an absolutely terrific time! The restored kitchen wing has everything you could need - three well-appointed bedrooms, a large bathroom, a kitchenette, and a large dining room/sitting room. It was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. The tour of the derelict portion of the castle that the owner is restoring was fascinating and highly recommended. We also did both the dinner and breakfast catering and found both to be excellent (Viv the chef's chewy pavlova dessert was particularly delicious!). David was very responsive to all of our inquiries. The castle is very remote and definitely isn't your typical AirBnB, but the listing and reviews are incredibly accurate so if you like what you read, don't hesitate to book it!

I thank David for his excellent welcome, his castle is simply magnificent. Our best time in Scotland since our arrival. We even preferred a visit to his castle to a visit to Edinburgh Castle. Our arrival with the snow was epic and will be remembered for a long time. The rooms are perfect, the dinner excellent. David renovates this castle with taste and we will do everything to return to see the progress of this one. An exciting enthusiast! Looking forward to seeing him again

Outstanding place to stay - what a magical experience. This was the highlight of our trip to Scotland. David was an exemplary host with a passion and commitment to restoring the castle to its former glory. The castle was beautiful and the insights into its restoration was a highlight. We loved our stay. There were 6 adults in our group and there was plenty of room Would highly recommend to everyone!

We stood for 4 nights in the amazing comfy Rose cottage to relax and use it as starting point for hikings and day Trips. We really want to come back!

We booked this beautiful cottage for xmas/new year period and had the most amazing time and was truly sad to leave.. The cottage was so quaint and idyllic with beautiful sunrises most morning's The cottage was decorated to a high standard and well equipped and attention to detail The wildlife that you see and little Deer running around made it more beautiful.. Rose cottage has a little stream that runs at the bottom of the garden... so lovely to hear it... As for claire she was a amazing hosts and made many suggestions of places to go/see or eat at also advised us of a taxi man named Eddie he was a little star and so helpful... Claire's communication was fantastic throughout, check in and out was so easy and nothing was to much trouble dor claire.. We had such a lovely experience/holiday at Rose cottage and would love to revisit again and thank you claire for having us. Regards Lynne and Carl

Rose Cottage was our perfect idea of a 'getaway' for Christmas. Located in an ideal location where you are both out in the country but also near a town if you may need anything. With fantastic scenic walks in the local area we didn't need to travel far, and the gas fire and cosy sofa were fantastic to come back to. Claire was a great host adding little touches for when we arrived and giving us all the info we may need prior to our arrival. We will definitely be returning in the future!

The place is perfect for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. We spent 4 nights in this wonderful cottage and greeted with a warm host, with amenities that exceeded our expectation. It even has a washing machine and diswasher. The gas-heated fireplace was an additional bous, perfect for this cold weather.

Rose cottage is a beautiful cottage in gorgeous surroundings and our host Claire, couldn’t have been more helpful. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you’ll need. It heats up very quickly with the heaters and the cosy fire, so great when you’ve been out fishing/walking all day. We were delighted to hear owls at night and see red squirrels playing in the trees. All in all, a wonderful cottage with a very helpful host. Will definitely stay again.

We had such a great time at Rose Cottage. Claire and Alex were such thoughtful hosts and made us feel very welcome and at home. We don't have a car and did almost everything by foot (with a few trips done via local taxi). This worked perfectly and the walk into Blairgowrie is easy enough and very scenic (45 mins). The immediate surroundings are really beautiful and we didn't feel like we were missing out on anything by staying in the nearby area. Would highly recommend the cottage even if you don't have a car. The cottage itself is super cosy and warm, perfect for days in. Overall a great stay and incredibly relaxing, couldn't recommend it enough!

Fairy Tale Cottage Exceeds Our Expectations - the photos don’t do this cottage justice. An absolutely beautiful yet cozy cottage surrounded by stunning landscape. A short drive from numerous attractions yet secluded enough that you feel like you’ve really gotten away from it all. Claire was a thoughtful and considerate host, checking in, yet giving us plenty of privacy. Any questions we had, before our stay and during, were promptly addressed. So much thought was put into making this a wonderful holiday stay. A large wall map of the local area plus 2 drawers full of maps and brochures made it easy to plan each day’s outing. We loved the decor and all of the modern conveniences. Heated floors, a cozy gas fireplace and deep sofa to sink into almost made leaving the cottage for sightseeing a chore. :-) And the cottage is so aptly named; we could see roses from every window! We hope to one day return to Scotland and Rose Cottage is a must stay for us!

At Tom and Lucy's house you will be welcomed into a family atmosphere. The accommodation is more spacious than the norm and very accurate in details; room and bathroom are spotless.

Our time in Alyth was definitely a high point of our trip. We enjoyed the location of the home and the quietness of the town. The local pub was a recommendation and the Sunday night live music was a treat! The park across the burn was entertaining, as the people were constantly changing - from little kids to teens and dog walkers. LOVED IT! This is a big home with plenty of space to relax. The wood stove took the September chill out of the air and made for a relaxing way to wind down from a busy day. Being able to do laundry was an unexpected bonus. This is a great house for a family holiday with nice comfortable accommodation, a big well equipped kitchen and lovely comfy sitting room. The beds are all comfy, it’s clean and not too perfect which makes it relaxing - the slightly shabby but charming decor makes it a nice easy place to be. It’s also in a great location with shops, chip shop and pubs round the corner - but it’s down a side street with a burn running behind it so very peaceful too. Alyth and the surrounding area are lovely - lots to do in the region including mountain bike hire and a great network of off road routes to explore. Would thoroughly recommend this place!

Karen and John are terribly kind, if you visit them, you will enjoy your best time in your live. You will have all the atention of the family in your stay, you are going to be as a king. I have been in hundreds of airbnb houses or hotels and, by far, this is the best place I have never been in my live. All is perfect, you do not miss anything. The city is also very nice and you have some good places to go to eat or take some drinks. Thanks for the recomendations and I will visit you again as soon as possible! Being hosted by Karen and John is like visiting family, even for one night, and rushing on the morning as we were! We felt immediately at ease, and we were very glad that they accepted to share their warm home with us. The house is newly renovated, lovely decoration, simple and subtile at the same time. The room was just perfect, enormous and comfy bed, small thoughtful details like fresh fruits, tea, and travel kit, view on the garden and the countryside. The breakfast was one of the best we tasted in Scotland, the hospitality of them both is remarquable. We can’t wait coming back and take more time at Braeburn! We wish them a lot of success in their project! More than recommended address, worth making a detour!

We had a pleasant room with an en-suite. Robin was unable to be there for much of our stay but he had everything available and set out for us. We were in want for nothing. He left us a personal message that was very comprehensive and had we stayed longer we would have had endless topics of conversation. A very nice gentleman who is a very generous host. We were looking for a wee place within easy reach of Glenshee to take our son on a birthday trip to the snow. The Neuk was much bigger than we expected and furnished to a very comfortable standard with lovely wee touches all over to make it extra special! Loved the tea, coffee, milk and juice waiting our arrival. The place was spotless and we all loved it! Had the weather been better we would have made more use of the fabulous enclosed back garden. Highly recommend and Elaine is a fab host.

Had a very comfortable two nights at Elaine's place with my family. Booked last minute the night before we travelled and we weren't disappointed with anything. The weather was pretty bad so it was great to have such a nice base for a couple of relaxing days. We made good use of the fire to keep us warm from the storm outside. Everything we needed was provided, and it was helpful that there was practical things like a high chair and a few games/books for our son to use. We weren't in the garden much due to the weather but it was pleasant and in summertime will be another plus for the house. The surrounding area is nice with a good amount of stuff to do within a short drive. Peel Farm just up the road from the house was nice for brunch.

Elaine's place was perfect, a very short walk away from a stunning waterfall which allowed us to get out and about very easily on our short break. The cottage was absolutely stunning as well. Really high quality and it was so clean that it felt like we were the first people to stay there. We did geta little lost when trying to find the place as the Sat nav took us to Kilry hall and it meant that we kept missing the sign marked out in the instructions. If this happens to you you turn right after the hall and it is at the end of the road next to the t junction with a sign to Alyth.

An absolute must for silence and wildlife lovers. There is everything you need in there and the shower is incredible. Will definitely go back !

Although the accommodation in Hideaway is very basic that is part of it's charm. The separate shower worked very well with plenty of hot water, and the composting toilet although a little walk from the cottage was also fine. We needed to use the log burner but had no trouble lighting it as a starter kit was provided. We came to the hideaway to see the beavers, and we did , so we went away happy. It was very rainy during our stay, and quite muddy underfoot in places, so a good pair of wellies was essential. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return next summer.

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The beauty is all around you and you feel immersed in it. Tucked away on the edge of woodland and next to water, it simply is habitat heaven. The hideaway is spacious, comfortable but also it's simplicity is just perfect. We really did not want to leave.

The cabin is just as advertised, with its back to woods and facing north onto the river. The outdoor rainwater shower is really impressive - good flow and actually had to turn it cooler. And our first use of a compost loo without any problems - no smell, no flies! The cabin is basic as expected, but has all we needed for a relaxing break, with a very comfy bed. Enjoyed spotting the beavers - very interesting to see the impact of their efforts on the land. Good to chat with the hosts as well, who have embraced rewilding with a passion!

Lindsey and her family are so lovely and welcoming. They are very accommodating and are always willing to help with anything you need. A lovely house and bedroom, clean, very comfy, and equipped with everything. In a perfect location, very easy to get to Perth also. Highly recommend :) x

Very cosy, brand new eco pod. Perfect for couples, there were three of us and we managed with extra bedding. It’s a beautiful place, however quite far from any shops/amenities restaurants. There is also no WiFi or network coverage in a pod. If you want to relax, recharge and disconnect, it’s a perfect place- we loved it! Kay is a great and friendly host.

A beautiful pod in the remote countryside. I stayed here with 2 friends and we fit comfortably inside. The pods are brand new equipt with everything you could need. Great for a long weekend away exploring!

Wonderful place to stay if you go skiing or hiking, or just explore Scotland. All necessary amenities are in the house, lots of space for clothes and skiing equipment. Excellent location: shops and restaurants are nearby. Lots of thoughtful touches: paracetamol, toys, books for kids, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer - everything you need when travelling. Sparkling clean.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. It is ideal for couples or a family. Pam is a great host and quick to respond to any questions. There is a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable sitting room. It is 10 minutes walk to the middle of town with a large Tesco's and a Coop within 5 minutes walk. It is close to the mountains and has easy access to Dundee. I will use it again.

Beautiful authentic gate house on an amazing plot with lots of walks to have. House has everything you need and could have stayed another week.

Bamff Estate is a very special place to be - peaceful, romantic and in the middle of nature. The people living there found remarkable ways of respecting nature and its resources. The Gate Lodge is a tasteful equipped small cottage. From there you can start wonderful hikes through the woods and over lovely medows. Fascinating - a guided tour with Paul to see beavors! You will never forget it!

Enjoyable stay at this quirky cottage in the peaceful Perthshire countryside. The log burner was great for the cool nights. Paul already had it burning for our arrival and we purchased a couple of starter packs for £1.50 from the honesty shop for the next couple of nights. It was also great having a large enclosed garden so our dog could enjoy getting out and the relaxed attitude to our dog so she could walk about off the lead on the estate. We also enjoyed the walk to Alyth. Took us about 1 hour 15 minutes over the hill, some great views and a welcome with our dog at the Alyth Hotel for a couple of refreshments before heading back to the cottage. Also have to mention the double bed which was very comfortable and the wifi was good and kept our teenage daughter happy. Thanks again for the stay and would be happy to return in the future.

If you’re looking for a rustic rural get away then this is the place to go! A cosy gem with wonderful walks from the cottage.

The Gate Lodge was an amazing escape from our busy city life. I love the countryside and this lodge felt like it was in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees. It was a beautiful space for us to relax for a couple days, there was also a large garden that in summer time would great to use! Louise was a fantastic host, quick to respond to messages.. the hosts popped down to introduce themselves and tell us how to get in touch if there was any issues, after that we were left to our own devices, which for us was ideal. We didn’t manage to spot any beavers but we almost had more fun out searching for them and there were lots of evidence that they had been busy at work! I would definitely return to stay at the lodge or one of the other accommodations they have to offer on the estate.

Gate Lodge is a wonderful cosy cottage with everything you would expect in a home away from home. Location is perfect to allow guests to enjoy some lovely walking on the Cateran Trail. I particularly loved being able to walk over in to and back from Alyth. Lots of signs of beavers but no sightings sadly and will certainly be back for a longer stay next time. Recommend very highly

Beautiful setting and exactly what we needed for a weekend skiing in Glenshee as its only 35 mins to the Ski Centre. Gordon and Katie were so lovely and accommodating and look us out for a walk with their dogs on Sunday. Would highly recommend for a Scottish countryside break!

Had a fantastic stay at Gordon and Katie’s apartment. It was very central for all the golf courses we were playing and it was a lovely relaxing space. Gordon was a super host and even gave us a lift into town for our golf dinner and collected us. Will definitely be back next year!!

Great location, amazing bothy which is fully equipped. We loved the wood burning fire.. made the bothy so cosy. Great walks in surrounding areas and ideal area for doggies.

Sheona and Sandy are fabulous hosts and The Bothy is perfect for a week away with the pooch who loved every minute. The views and walls are stunning and the tiny house is perfectly formed with all you could need for a getaway. Thank you from two well rested travellers and Snoop Dogg

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bothy. We were welcomed by a roaring fire, and a stunning home. It’s not often you can find a dog friendly property decorated to such a high standard. The property is incredibly beautiful. The surroundings were beautiful and our dog loved the walks available from the door step. Sandy and Sheona were incredibly helpful and welcoming. And we loved the little touches such as milk, teas and coffees etc. Thank you so much.

Amazing little hideaway where you can sit in peace and read a book or go for a walk around the nearby loch and let your worries and stress dissipate! Fantastic host, and great little touches in the bothy that made it feel like home for our couple of nights away!

Housing located a little less than 30 minutes from Perth and scone palace. In a very pretty house with a lot of charm. Very bright and large room filled with books, guides, maps and also some games. Breakfast in the morning in the veranda very nice. A nice moment of discussion with Duncan.

This is a lovely house in a great location; a short walk to shops bars and restaurants, and an even shorter walk to the tree lined river bank. An ideal getaway.

The town house has everything a family could need for a great holiday. The kitchen is superbly equipped. There is also a very good washing machine and dryer which we needed to use as we got soaked playing golf. The beds are extremely comfortable. The house is in a perfect location overlooking the river and within 400 and 800 yards of the two best restaurants in Blairgowrie.

Lovely place to stay

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it is clean, cosy, well equipped and very charming. We were able to have a look around the farm, our young son loved looking out for the cows each morning. There were lots of facilities in the cottage for him (travel cot, highchair, books and toys) which made our stay much easier. We were visiting family in Alyth which is about 10 minutes away, so the location is great, and is very quiet with lovely scenery. We will definitely come to stay again!

We spent a few days with four plus two little babies in Debbies Cottage and really enjoyed the time! The cottage is super comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped and even made firewood for the fireplace. The cottage is located right on a road but is completely enclosed by a hedge and a fence and after a few meters on the road you can turn on dirt roads between the sheep and cow meadows. Also, the Cateran Trail goes for hiking right past the farm and just a mile away along the road leads to a great waterfall. The communication with Debbie was great! Great host, great cottage, gladly again!

Wonderfully located for access to many beautiful walks and visits. We enjoyed easy access to Glenshee, Scone Palace, Dundee and Broughty Ferry beach. The weather was warm and the cottage retained a comfortable coolness through the night. We were very comfortable in the lounge area and the Kitchen is well set up for all your cooking needs. With two bedrooms available, the one we used had a very comfortable bed in which we slept extremely well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage and were genuinely saddened to leave.

We had a lovely stay in Debbie's cottage : spacious, clean and comfortable. A good location to explore Perthshire. We recommend this place if you want to spend some time in Perth and Kinross and like a quiet place in the countryside.

The room is wide and carpeted. The bathroom with Jacuzzi, impressive! Tatiana is a great hostess and welcomes people with great sympathy.

Tatiana was very welcoming and lovely. Her house is a real family house so it really felt like home. She didn't checked us in personally but it was due to personal circumstances and her friend let us into the house which was ok. It was a bit tricky to find her house in the first place cuz we didn't have a house number and Google maps showed us a house at a street which wasn't Tatiana's. But we just had to walk up the street a bit more and finally found the house straight across a car park. The bed we slept in was quite squeaky but the room was dark and quiet at night so we still could sleep. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Tatiana gave us some great tips for hiking but unfortunately we already had other plans and couldn't explore them. I would recommend. Thank you, Tatiana!

Beautifully presented and clean house with lots of helpful touches such as tea and coffee - great after a long journey up in snow! We were also greeeed to fresh flowers and treats when we arrived as well as lots of communication about how to keep the heating on etc as we were a lot later than expected. Thanks for a great stay.

Excellent property, spacious, clean and with every amenity. The little touches on arrival really make you feel welcome. Only had two nights but could easily spend a very comfortable week there.

It is superbly equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of shower an loo facilities to cover the 6 guests. The kitchen is brilliant and the view whilst dining is magnificent. The beds were very comfy and there is a pool table and a table tennis outfit to keep you fit. I would definitely recommend this place and Moira asa kind and unobtrusive hostess. She left us the basic foodstuffs you need for the first day. We would stay here again. Brilliant.

We had an amazing time at Murray’s cottage. The cottage is very cosy, and everything is provided. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed walking our dog around the grounds and around the golf course which is right next door. Murray is very helpful and friendly.

The place is beautiful and quiet, the leisure facilities are really good, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Had a lovely stay over Christmas at Murray's lodge. The accommodation was homely and cosy but also stylish and modern with good size rooms.

Murray’s cottage was such a lovely space, much bigger than we expected with excellent amenities, around 1km to the town, set in lovely woods, great for red squirrel/deer spotting. Would highly recommend.

This cottage is fantastic. Everything you need and in such a beautiful setting. Murray is a perfect host and was quick to offer local tips. Even managed to see a red squirrel a few times (very rare where I live)!! I highly recommend his place, you won't be disappointed.

Would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the chaos of everyday life we enjoyed a gorgeous relaxing long weekend with our dog, lovely walks and a free day at the spa were a lovely touch! The bath was also amazing!!!! The cottage was spotlessly clean and had a gorgeous homley but stylish feel, Murray was brilliant and we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was a bother would definitely go again!

Murray's cottage was ideal. Whilst working away I was very comfortable. A nice property full of character and renovated to a good standard. In a good location and plenty of amenities around. The communication was very easy. Murray kept in contact and wanted our stay to be a good one. A nice touch.

This is so easy to write because the place was perfect. Cute and cosy, warm with really lovely touches making it feel like home, everything we needed and in a great wee location. A perfect weekend away, we went with friends and our toddlers and they had a great time running from kitchen to livingroom through the cosy hall. Fire in the evening with really lovely lighting... Really it was just perfect would highly recommend to anyone considering.

Wonderful cottage tucked away in a courtyard off one of the main roads into Blairgowrie. Kelly's space is spotlessly clean and very well equipped, giving the perfect base for a stay in this nice small town. Kelly is also very responsive, and was very understanding when we had a few changes to our plans. We will be back.

Such a beautiful, modern and very clean cottage in great location. We came just for a weekend for skiing in Glenshee. Very quick response from Kelly, easy check in and out. Great equipped kitchen with everything u need. Perfect size bedrooms and living room. We wouldn’t wish for anything else. Highly recommended!!! Hopefully we will be back again.

The location is beautiful and serene. Not too difficult a place to get to but off the grid if you want to zone out and relax. It is very fascinating to observe the beavers and they way they change the landscape. Overall a really good place to visit.

Amazing space to get away from things. On Christmas Eve the woodland was covered in ice and the full moon lit it up like a Christmas card. I heard the beavers splashing about enjoying it too. The yurt is a magical space to retreat into alongside the other facilities, it is a lovely space to be. The family are really great and hospitable. I enjoyed my 40th and Christmas in this space and am most happy with my choice. I might be back....

Louise and Paul have created a really special place at Bamff. We loved our stay - the highlight was the beaver walk (although we just missed out on seeing the beavers). The yurt was very cosy and the hosts were able to provide a cot for our son too.

This is a great place to visit, Paul and Louise are lovely thoughtful hosts, everything is there you could need The kitchen is well stocked with pans etc .They have catered well for their guests. good storage and fridge space for food Yurt is clean and well looked after with everything you need already there you can even charge up your phone from the solar panel.
