Theatre
“You don't need to head to England to experience the genius of a Shakespearean play. Much closer to home is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival located in Ashland, Oregon. (1 hour north of Guest House) Every year at the end of October you can enjoy on average over ten of Shakespeare's plays performed in both classic and newly imagined style. Separate tickets are needed for each show which is held at one of the event campus's two indoor or one outdoor spaces. ”

“This beautifully decorated New-American bar and restaurant is located on the second level of one of the downtown Ashland historic buildings. Their menu is excellent for both cocktails and food. If you choose to sit on the balcony, you get the view of Bear Creek and all the bustle of locals and tourists below. Our go-to when we are in Ashland!”

“We're spoiled in that we raise much of our own food, love to cook and have friends that do the same... so our standards are high when it comes to paying for restaurant meals, especially expensive ones. Smithfields is my current favorite restaurant in Ashland. It's pricey, "meat-centric" and man, do they know how to prepare animal protein! They also do collard greens well, worthy of any soul-food cook. Most meat is locally sourced, another plus. ”
