This place was by far my favourite! The view and the balcony was amazing. We also very much enjoyed the host's company and the cook's insane cooking skills. You should definitely try his noodles ;)

Ajay is a phenomenally knowledgeable person - and the national skiing coach, to boot! Not only did he make us feel at home, but gave invaluable insights on how we could make the best of the area around Auli. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful, the food excellent. Take some time to stay here - if you're planning to take a break from the madding crowds.

overall experience to stay at this homestay was fairly ok , as we had booked throgh airbnb , it seemed to be more expensive then directly booking through host. food was well made , home style. location was perfectly setting across the himalyan ranges so very good. room amenities can be upgraded for better feel of stay.

It is a very beautiful place the view from the rooms is amazing. The place is located away from the hustle and bustle of joshimath. The host was very helpful in guiding us to the place and responding to queries. Even though we arrived late the staff cooked us dinner after we ordered around 10 pm. Would recommend the place to anyone traveling towards joshimath.

The Himalayan Abode was the best we stayed during our trip to India. The location and view from the rooms is beautiful and the service was fantastic! We would very much recommend staying here

The Clifftop Club Resort located in Auli is a serene place to stay. The early morning view from the room's balcony definitely mesmerizes you, the massive Dhaulagiri Himalayan hills and the ice caps covered mountain peaks standing right in front of you. There is no road connection to the resort & trotters will have to either avail the cable trolley car ride from Joshimath or the chair trolleys from JNVM Resort that takes you to the tower 10. Although exhaustive, the resort gave a grandiose feeling. The rooms were warm & well furnished. With a small kitchenette attached, we cooked our meals. There are a couple of small grocery shops open right outside the resort that sells almost everything including noodles & eggs. The room is bon vibrant for a group of 4, exceeding which extra bedding could be availed with extra cash. The staffs were well groomed & friendly who would stay alert for any needs as requested. All in all, our vacation in Auli wouldn't have been more enjoyable thanks to the Clifftop Resort Stay. Cheers !

It was our best b&b experience in Tulsi's home! We could spend with them only 2 days, but already miss the place and the family. Such a great hospitality, such a fantastic location and panorama, and what an amazing home food! We blessed Tulsi's hands every time she prepared food for us :) We arrived to Gopeshwar with our car and booked the room in the same day. The response arrived from Poonam very quick and she provided us detailed information about the route to the house. She is the daughter of Tulsi, lives in Germany, and she helps to manage email bookings for her mother. Now she was visiting the family, so we had the chance to meet her as well. Poonam is a lovely person with lot of energy. We were talking a lot and made a short trekking in the mountains. She helped her mother to make Peaches and Pears as it is now, decorated the rooms with unique things. In the evening Tulsi cooked us and for the family and we ate together on their balkony next to the camp fire. It was soo nice to spend time with them, they all are very open hearted. The house is located outside of Gopeshwar in a very silent, rural area. No neighbors just the family, the beautiful garden and the animals. They grow their own organic vegetables! Our room was I think the best, and there where no other guest while we visited, so we had a private balcony with full panorama to the mountains, also a peak 7100m high covered with snow! The room was very clean, beds are comfortable, sheets and towels are fresh, hot water in the bathroom. Dont miss this place if you have the chance to visit Gopeshwar! Im sure we will come back again :)

Six of us family members, including my 70+ mom-in-law and three teenage girls stayed at Birdsong and loved the place for resting and relaxing. The only sound you can hear are birds, the village cows and occasionally the village women calling to each other. Kiran helped us with everything including enroute stops and on-spot directions, and Karan the caretaker took after us very well while we were there. The only challenge was for my mom in law, because the steep walk down to the cottage meant that she could not really walk back up to the road and join us for a stroll. The cottage's 3 bedrooms are very comfortable for six people, and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. There's no living room as such to "hang around" in so we pretty much used either the balcony outside or just collected in one of the bedrooms. All in all, a lovely place to re-charge our batteries.

Birds Nest is literally a nest. It has a beaytiful view of the Happu Valley. The house has a sitout on two floors overlooking the mountains and the valley below. You can go for walks all around the place. Its steep though and you need to be careful. The house is in a small village and the people are very friendly. If you want to laze for a few days, get to know people and enjoy nature, its a good hangout.

Kiran has a lovely place with a great view. Karan, the care taker is very helpful and make sure you have a great stay. great place if you are looking for a quite stay in peace. The house is well stocked with books to spend time. Chopta is a 3 hour drive in case you are looking for trekking.

We stayed at Birdsong cottage for 2 nights with friends for a weekend getaway. Kiran was very accommodative in coordinating even at such a short notice. The caretaker Karan was extremely helpful in guiding us where to go for sight seeing and various treks nearby. He also made great dinner after our long drive. The property had 3 rooms with all the basic amenities with amazing view of the Himalayan range. Recommended for anyone wanting to have a serene weekend getaway with some short treks nearby.

The host, Kiran, was wonderfully accommodating of your needs and demands. The apartment is scenically located, and with a clear sky, it has a stunning view of the mountain ranges. the experience can hardly be understated. the caretaker was indulgent of our whims and took us on short treks in and around the place. cosy rooms and a warm ambience - a great option to visit and stay if you don't prefer the din and bustle of big hill stations or seek a lot of touristy stuff. we stayed for three nights and had such a great time - trekking, reading, singing, cooking and chatting - that we sincerely hoped to come back again!

My family (My mother, our teenage daughter, my husband, and I) stayed at the Birdsong cottage for a month this May. We wanted a place where we could relax, spend time with nature, read, and have quality family time. This was the perfect place to do that. Kiran was prompt and helpful from the start- she shared useful phone numbers, gave tips about walks and treks, and kept in touch during our stay. The caretakers- Karan and Jagat- were very nice, ready to help with daily chores and small glitches. The best aspects of the Birdsong is the natural rural setting (it is not a touristy hill station), with a great mountain and valley view from the balcony, the friendly and caring neighbors, and proximity to places such as the Nagnath forest, Kartik Swami temple, Chopta and Tungnath etc- all offering good trekking opportunities. Our best times were spent watching the endless drama of the mountains and clouds from the balcony, listening to the sounds of birds and the daily rural life, and chatting with the young women and children who stopped by to say hello. Birdsong is not a place for you if you are looking for luxury hotel kind of accommodation and service (but the cozy wooden cottage is equipped with all the basic urban facilities and groceries are easily available), cannot gracefully handle small rural glitches and the odors of cattle, farm activities etc., are not able to climb up at least 3 to 4 stories, or want constant entertainment/ urban distractions to enjoy a vacation. All in all, it was a great vacation for our family. We thank Kiran, Karan, and Jagat for all the help.

Kiran was a fantastic host from start to finish. Birdsong was such an incredible cottage and everything was designed to ensure we had the best time possible. Karan, the caretaker, was kind and helpful and cooked some of the best food we've had. He also went out of his way to show us his local village and introduce us to others in the area. The place was spotless and everything it looks like in the photos. Kiran was very helpful when we had issues organising transport and was very communicative through our stay, which we really appreciated. I can't recommend Birdsong enough.

Everything about the Birdsong was amazing! Internet wasn't working well and it turns out that there is no heat (only heated blankets), but this was not a problem because the atmosphere is so wonderful. We had five cozy days and nights looking out at beautiful mountains in the distance and enjoying the sweet village life nearby. Thank you!

The house is neat and clean, and is located on the way to Badrinath from Guptkashi. It is a great value for money, with all the basic amenities that you would usually need. The host is extremely helpful and was available on all forms of communication in the days leading up to the check-in. He took care of everything once we checked in to his place, and the warmth and humility through which we were greeted made us feel at home instantly. We stayed only for one day, but at the end of it, we felt like extending our stay for a few more days by virtue of the great hospitality being extended to us. A highly recommended place for all.

My favourite feature of the house is the large window where I would linger all day with a book and stare at the mighty Himalayas, the Trishul and the entire Nanda Devi range. The varied birds himalayan bulbul, the red-billed magpie, black headed jay, bee-eaters) visit every morning to pick the moths that hover over the verandah lights in the night. The house itself is so impeccably designed and accessorised with such love. No corner/ no wall is bereft of art. Pradeep, the caretaker, lives closeby and makes amazing home -cooked hot meals, do ask him for the local dishes like mandwe ki roti and mutton. We spent a couple of days doing some interesting and simple treks. Our kids loved the Badangadi trek, and bagichi bugiyal (overnight trek) .. we camped at the mountain top with stunning views of the Trishul so close. We came back rejuvenated, refreshed and so much in awe of the mighty Himalayas. Hope to visit again for more.

Beautiful house! Breathtaking view and lovely host! What else do you expect from your trip. We had an amazing stay at Tulsi Aunty's house..she makes you feel so homely..takes care of each and every thing and cooks delicious food specially masala tea..The view from the room is amazing..We also went for a quick walk early morning for the wholesome scenic view..If you are looking to get away from daily stressful life, this place is the best getaway.

TARUN is a great host. He cleared all my doubts even before the trip started. Trek to Chandrashila was made easier with Tarun's help. The stay was good, food was even better.

Well this place is the best place to stay there. First of Mr sanjay singh rana food and his stories of trekks are just jaws dropping. I also like ajay for his small jokes he used to throw around. Tarun is a nice guy and we have very few of them left in tourism now. Very prompt and never says no. He arranged a camp fire without any hesitation being a forest area. Gave me the best room with an outstanding view. All in all great place to stay... Food served here is the best in chopta and ukhimath.... Best means best... Tarun... Have many great days ahead and wish u alot of success in future...
