The best airbnb I have ever stayed! Amazing host, and the house is super clean and have everything we need.

This is a large upstairs room with laundry and a full bath. Joao and Muriel were amazing hosts who welcomed me to their town, home and family.

The hospitality and amenities exceeded my expectation. This is far more than just a room for the night. It's s private second floor suite. Next time I will make sure there is time to spend getting to know the host and hostess and to take advantage of all the facilities offered.

A wonderful stay at Michael's home - the accommodations were very comfortable for our group of 7. The house was in great shape and extremely clean and organized -- and importantly, set up in a way that makes it easy to keep clean and organized during the trip. The amenities provided (extra toothbrush, tasty coffee, easy to find supplies) were above and beyond what I've seen in other airbnbs -- it is clear that Michael has put good thought into sharing his home with others. Furthermore, the house is truly steps away from the inn, situated among other beautiful houses and yards and in a great location for a visit to Simsbury. Many thanks for the hospitality!!

We had a wonderful stay. Rick and Judy are warm and helpful. Very lovely home and personal space and excellent breakfasts. A true delight to be there!

Judy and Rick made me feel very welcome -- everything was exactly as described. The room and their home is beautiful, in a quiet neighborhood. The linens, the towels were exceptional and the bed very comfortable. They respected my privacy but welcomed my interactions. I feel so very fortunate to have been able to enjoy time with both Rick and Judy at breakfast and I look forward to staying with them again.

Vanessa and Kurt were fabulous hosts--very friendly and accommodating in all aspects of my stay. They were flexible with a late check-in, and even offered to take me to a local destination when my transportation was in question. They have a gorgeous house, and the room I rented was perfectly clean, comfortable, and private. Both offered me fruit, homemade muffins, and fresh coffee in the mornings. I would definitely stay again, thank you both!

Vanessa was incredibly welcoming and helpful! Her house is beautiful and it is in such a nice area to walk around. She let us use her kitchen freely, and she was generally very nice about having us there.

Vanessa & Kurt were very welcoming. I had been traveling all day & booked them within minutes. They communicated very well with me & made me & my boyfriend feel comfortable in there home. The room was beautiful & had everything we needed. The bathroom was equipped as well, Vanessa had coffee & tea with breakfast bread out each morning. My boyfriend & I had a peaceful & lovely stay.

Vanessa and her husband are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The space is very clean, serene, beautiful without being fussy. They are wonderful hosts. I would stay there again.

Gay was a wonderful host. The room is very comfortable and has almost any amenity you can think of. Gay even gave me some homemade apple crisp! I'd love to stay again sometime.

Gay was wonderful. I felt right at home and very well cared for. She picked me up at the airport. Then the next day drove me around so I could get my rental car and showed me how to get to my interview the next day. She cooked for me and made me feel extraordinarily welcome. Anyone would have a wonderful time with gay. I highly recommend staying with her!!

I guess, since I booked a third night, I'm being asked to do another review. Happily! Gay is conscious of making a guest feel oriented, comfortable and welcomed. She's a fascinating artist, calligrapher, collector, photographer and gardener. As a guest you are surrounded with the beauty she has created. I highly recommend her snug as a bug home.

We needed an overnight spot in Farmington, and Gay's house was everything we could have asked for. Her place is clean and cozy. It was a pleasant stay.

The house is pleasant in a very good neighborhood, fitting it's Smug As a Bug name. And Gay is a very interesting person to talk with, particularly about her photography.

Gay was a very gracious host and first class lady. She is extremely knowledgeable about not only Farmington, but places all over New England. The room was comfortable and clean...all in good order. Breakfast with her was a joy as we discussed our travels. We look forward to more visits with Gay!

It was a pleasure being with Gay for five days. She was so charming and welcoming. She inspired me with the spirit, energy and efforts she puts in not just art but in everything she does. She is incredibly warm and a lovely hostess. She took me around for a city tour and helped in searching for apartments. Her place is clean, relaxing and peaceful. This was my first experience with Airbnb and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I strongly recommend her place.

Gay was a lovely and charming hostess, knowledgeable on so many subjects that conversation flowed effortlessly (this from an introvert). The room and Gay's home were lovely, comfortable, charming and her house is in the quietest neighborhood I have every experienced. The location is terrifically convenient to Hartford. Time awake was pleasant, and time asleep was restful. This, our first AirBnB experience, was a very good one ... strongly recommend Snug as a Bug!

Andrew and Laura were as warm and inviting as their charming home. They had great suggestions for local eateries (Lasalle's in Collinsville was a great spot to grab breakfast!). Upon arrival, I enjoyed a soak in their incredible clawfoot tub and I think that may have been the highlight of my trip! In the morning, I took in the beautiful views of the Farmington River on a run along their country road. It was truly a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet retreat.

Andrew and Laura were perfect hosts and their home was everything that the pictures promised and more! We had a wonderful and relaxing stay and would highly recommend this lovely, clean and comfortable home to anyone traveling in the area.

One word: Amazing. They were so helpful and gave us all these great places to go to - like the Mark Twain house and breweries, museums, etc. Unfortunately, I was sick most of the time but they were so gracious and totally took care of us (gave me tylenol and such - Laura is a doctor and is super knowledgable so I got lucky). They are very clean and also cooked for us a bit too (Andrew is a great cook). I think they deserve super host status immediately. We are so greatful to them both for opening up their home!

It was wonderful communicating with Andrew and Laura, and the place was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately due to illness I had to cancel the reservation for the family I had booked it for but I would definitely reach out again if the opportunity arises!

We ended up being later than expected because of some snow and she kindly waited up and shoveled the drive for us. The room and home are as described. Was traveling on a budget and this place was perfect for my needs (I was looking for a place to crash for a night and the opportunity to cook my own breakfast in the morning). Hyacinth and her husband were welcoming and made everything run smoothly and overall a great stay.

Because of unexpected travel delays, we arrived later than hoped. Directions, GPS didn't match, weren't available and since it was dark and not well lit, it took extra time to find this location. The home was warm, and the host graciously welcomed us. The room was private, the bathroom great and the kitchen was very well-stocked with all the utensils, dining ware and cookware.

Hyacinth was an angel! She was accommodating to our late check in and we were able to settle in after an exhausting day. It was also great to have access to the kitchen as we hustled to start our day. Hyacinth let us have our space, which was perfect. Would stay again and highly recommend.

This is my first experience with AirBnB and Hyacinth has been an absolutely lovely host. The house and grounds are neat, clean, warm and welcoming, as is she. I stayed for 11 nights, had my own key so I could come and go as I wanted, had use of the kitchen and laundry facilities and felt both welcomed and left do my own thing, as I wished. My bedroom was very comfortable, and I was delighted by the firm (though not too hard) bed. The bathroom in the hallway across from my room was mine alone except for the two nights when a guest was renting the other bedroom. It was all quite comfortable. While it is on a quiet country road, there are shops slightly more than a mile away. When I am in this region again I plan to stay here. It was a very restful stay. Thank you.
