atypical accommodation, well placed for tourists wishing to visit Strasbourg, Colmar, and all the little villages around the Castle Ht Koenigsbourg. Everything is there, the comfort is complete for a small family. The home is ideal with nudges the scene you should not miss, such as the palace of Gertwiller gingerbread for example !!

Very pleasant stay. We were very well received. Anne was available to answer our questions before we arrived. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and complies fully with the pictures. It is very well located in Barr (several nearby parking lots and small shops) and the region (easy access to Strasbourg, Colmar).

In der komplett neu renovierte Stadtwohnung findet man alles für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Küche und Bad erfüllen mit vielen toppmodernen Geräten auch hohe Ansprüche, sehr komfortabel. Es gibt einen Induktionsherd und eine Regendusche. Das alte verwinkelte Haus in der Altstadt hat seinen historischen Charme, ist jedoch auch etwas düster. Viele Lampen verströmen eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist ideal als Ausgangspunkt vieler Ausflüge mitten in der Weinstrasse. In der Nähe gibt es Parkplätze. Da ein Schlafzimmer auf die Gasse geht, ist es nicht immer still. Wir genossen die zentrale Lage; zu Fuss auf den schönen Markt. Restaurants und Geschäfte befinden sich rund herum. Die Gastgeberin Virginie ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Sie lieh uns ihre private Kapselmaschine und reservierte für uns ein Restaurant. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und es standen bereits gekühlte Getränke bereit und frisches Obst. Man fühlt sich gleich zu Hause. Wir waren drei erwachsene Personen. Es würde auch für zwei Paare gut passen, da es zwei getrennte Schlafzimmer mit je einem Doppelbett hat.

Hi All, This place was close to railway station. Our host Marie was a very nice person. She welcomed us with coffee and some snacks. (and we really needed it as it was very cold during our trip). Place was also good and clean. You will find very interesting paintings in her house, some of which are her work. It was really a good stay for us.

Although we did not speak each other's languages, we used (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) translate to get to know each other, and boy was it worth it! She is a wonderful and kind hearted woman with a special place in her heart for children. I wish I could have spent longer there, for she was all too accommodating and infinitely creative.

The location is ideal for sightseeing in the area, 30 minutes north to south of Alsace and only 1 hour from FRIBOURG if you like GERMANY. City GERTWILLER is typical with beautiful colored houses and quiet. You will find a great U 5 minutes by car, if you want more trade going on BARR which is 5 minutes drive also. Excellent experience overall, I recommend!

We stayed in a well-furnished apartment, within a beautiful region in France. The appartement is very clean, and the parking space is private. The host, Damien is very friendly. I think he lives in the apartment most of the time, so it is very well equiped, especially the kitchen. I would recommend staying in this place if you're planning to cook in the appartement, and if you don't need a lot of free cupboard space for clothes etc.

The accommodation is ideal for visiting the Christmas market in Strasbourg just 25min. the host is very welcoming and listening to all kinds of questions, the accommodation is clean, spacious, two bedrooms, a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a sofa bed with a comfortable medium for Mattress two people in the lounge. The only snag is found no wifi that quickly resolves with your smartphone tethering.

Everything as promised & as depicted on the photos, brand-new appliances and furniture throughout. Quiet neighbours. Excellent location both in terms of Alsace in general & for the small town of Barr. Ideally situated to explore the region, Route des Cretes, Wine Road, even Strasbourg (just a few KMs down the road). The patisserie in front definitely deserves a visit. Benjamin was very helpful and proactive in trying to accomodate our schedule. All in all very much recommended. Thank you Benjamin!

We loved staying here! Great location, beautiful space and Benjamin was very helpful. Check-in was easy and we really enjoyed the patisserie across the street. The free bottle of wine was a very nice touch! So were the brochures and the shelf of complimentary food. We absolutely recommend Benjamin's place!

Overall a very nice property and experience. First, the pros. Benjamin is a super host, quick to respond, friendly and flexible. He's not on site, but he has worked out all the logistics so there weren't any inconveniences in that regard. The apartment is also extremely well-situated in the very center of Barr, and has lots of medieval charm. The views are great as promised, and the bed is very comfortable! And of course Barr itself is a great location for exploring the wine route, Strasbourg, etc. There were a couple of niggles, however. What isn't mentioned in the description is that access to the apartment is up three extremely steep and narrow staircases, with another in the apartment to get up to the bedroom. I would thus not recommend this apartment to anyone with limited mobility (or the heavily pregnant). Also the shower setup is quite strange, with no wall closing off the shower room and no shower curtain either. If you're there with more than just your significant other, privacy could be an issue. The shower itself is also very awkward to use due to the sloping ceiling, which makes standing up in it nearly impossible if you're of average height or taller. For us the positives definitely outweighed the negatives, though, and as long as you know what to expect, I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Lovely stay in a small town near Strasbourg (have even made the train ride). Thank you to Benjamin for its beautiful and quiet accommodation and its plain and precious instructions (well done). We wanted for nothing except to shake his hand ;-)

Our guests have come into contact with us regularly during our stay to make sure everything was fine. The apartment is well equipped, however, there was no towel or cover for the sofa bed in the lounge. Barr is located between Strasbourg and Colmar and it was easy for us to take the train roundtrip visit these cities. If you arrive by train, the station is closed for 20 years !!! and there is no taxi or bus. A kind citizen offered to take us with our "large" bags to the apartment on the 3rd floor. Here's a number for a taxi if you arrive by train station: Taxi Merckling Patrick: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) / (EMAIL HIDDEN) (predict arrangements before your arrival at the station). As we had no car we arrived, there must be a 15 minute walk to get to the grocery store. We found a butcher two-minute walk, the owner, is very sympathetic Mr. Bougriou butchery beef Cote - 6 street bakers. There is also the restaurant "The Pike" that we liked and which is opposite the town hall.

We enjoyed the nice touch to offer us a bottle of wine in one of the best wineries in Barr. The apartment by cons is very banal. Little decoration on the ground floor, a development not very practical. Kitchen with furniture deserve an effort in terms of aesthetics, stainless steel sink unpleasant. A decorating effort is to consider. Upstairs is more practical, more decorated. The shower is impractical for large. Finally, access is not possible for people with mobility a little bit reduced.

Me and three friends stayed at Benjamins apartment for a week this July and was more than satisfied with the apartment. It looks exactly like the pictures, it's very clean and all in all a very pleasant apartment. The kitchen has the basic kitchen utilities and we were very impressed by the 'entertainment centre'. Barr is in general a very nice village and the apartment is located right in the middle surrounded by beautiful cozy buildings. The wine yards are about 5 mins away by foot. I can only recommend staying here!

I felt in Léa's apartment very well. She is a calm oasis in Ottrott. Beautifully decorated and very clean. On the terrace man can make yourself nice and comfortable. Léa was a very friendly and gracious host and was able to help me ask further. It was also helpful for me Léa very well be German. So in short it was a very good weekend for me.

I had a great time talking to the couple that lives here! There are less than a minutes walk from the train station, and have a comfortable room to share. We shared a great conversation about current life, and I would gladly stay with them again!

We spent 4 nights in Jerome and Emelyne! It was just great! From the warm welcome, the tips to clean private room, we were completely satisfied! This Alsatian couple has put us at ease from the start. You be sharing with a small well trained dog and a cat who lives his life. They do not bother you absolutely. On the contrary ! More privacy was totally respected and dialogue moved quickly! Good cultural exchanges between Brittany and Alsace! I can not recommend a stay at home Eichoffen located halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar.

Eichhoffen is a quaint little village between Colmar and Strasbourg. If you are looking for a laid back stay, this may be a good choice. And Jerome was a very friendly host.

Hello, the past stay with Edith and Guy went very well. The proposed room is spotless and sleep there very well. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, even though I had very little interaction with them to share my time in Obernai. Thank you and yes, as you guessed, I recommend this accommodation.

They were very kind and helpful, they speak English and French and are equipped with a lot of guides and information materials. I met only once due to their working hours and our trips, however, have been extremely discreet. The room is exactly as pictured, quite wide and fresh. The house in general, especially the room and bathroom, it was very neat and clean (it is among the cleanest houses we have found in our travels). The neighborhood is about 2km from the center of Obernai, it is very quiet, the typical terraced houses (but in Alsace style).
