The most relaxing weekend I've had in a long time. The house was spacious and comfortable. I really appreciated the later check out time, it allowed us to sleep in a bit and pace our departure, this made for a great end to a very relaxing weekend. Margaret met us when we got to the house and gave a lay of the land. Thank you Margaret for the tips. Having Margaret close by was great, communication was quick and efficient. Although not beach view it was a short relaxing stroll to the beach. Our family had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Fantastic value for the money.

Everything was wonderful! Faith was very responsive when we called, and the condo is a great place to spend a vacation! Very kid and dog friendly!

the condo was picture perfect. I loved the open floor plan and the kitchen and living area was spacious and had everything you could need to entertain. My family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. We cooked breakfast every morning and used the grill downstairs. The bed and bathrooms were accommodating for our family. its close to some delicious restaurants and close by to a little grocery store. I loved that we were able to take our dog on our vacation too! The front porch is a perfect place to watch the sunrise and drink a cup of coffee!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cottage #1. The property boasts modern construction with a clean, immaculate interior design along with plenty of "beachy" accents. The view of the Gulf and beach from the front porch was just perfect. The vibe on the Bolivar Peninsula is definitely one of calm and serenity - a very pleasant change from our years of vacationing in Galveston proper. Looking forward to staying at this same property in the near future.

This is a beautiful location and a beautiful unit with nice views. Pay very close attention to the location, however, as it is NOT in Galveston. To get to Galveston, this location requires a ferry trip which can have long wait times (up to two hours when we were here). Also, cars can drive on the beach and there can be heavy traffic. There is no room to fly a kite or walk without dodging traffic. There are very few services on this part of the island - plan on packing in your food or waiting in line for the ferry to get to restaurant choices.

This is a beautiful beach home. The pictures are exactly what you get. Great patio. Would have like rocking chairs or chairs that reclined.

We stayed at Rick's place for a girls weekend celebrating a birthday. The house was more than big enough for our group of 7 and we were able to spread out with plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything a cook needs and there was plenty of storage space in the pantry for the food and snacks we brought. It rained most of the weekend but there is enough of an overhang that we were still able to sit on the deck and enjoy the wonderful, unobstructed view. There is nothing better than sitting on the deck enjoying a cup of coffee or a cocktail with friends! Before our stay, I had questions multiple times about different things for the house and Rick was always very responsive-usually responding within a few minutes! The location of the house is very close to the Big Store in Crystal Beach so anything we forgot or needed was just a quick trip away. There is also a gas station at the light at the front of the neighborhood. We definitely plan on returning to Rick's place and have already talked about it. Thanks again for a great weekend!!!

Everything was great! Rick was very responsive and attentive. The kitchen is amazing and has plenty of space. The location and views of the beach/ocean were perfect. The home was clean and exactly as I would expect. I highly recommend this rental home.

Southern Waves is a beautiful beachfront beach house with amazing views on the decking! The inside of the home was spectacular! The photos don't do it justice! We rented this house for our wedding weekend and we were not disappointed! Was an easy walk down to the beach for the ceremony and pictures. The home itself made for a great backdrop as well. We arrived to find everything we could possibly need for our stay. We would love to come back and stay here and we highly recommend this house as well!!!! A perfect 10!

This beach front home is terrific! It is large enough to make large families (ours was 10+) feel very comfortable. The large deck overlooking the beach is a great place to spend hours just relaxing. You can't go wrong with this booking. Rick, the owner, will communicate easily with you and let you know what to bring and what to expect.

Loved this place and can't wait to rent again. It was above what we expected and so cozy. I did not want to leave.

Great house, great location. The house is well appointed with all the amenities that you need. We were just a short/easy ferry ride from Galveston, had a fantastic beach location but we were still close enough to good restaurants and stores for anything we needed. We stayed 2 nights with 4 adults and 4 teenage boys prior to cruising from Galveston and it was the perfect start to our vacation. Hope to return in the future.

The quick stay was 5 star all the way. We look forward to a longer stay next time.

Very spacious, clean and functional. Lots of room under the house to park, get out of the sun, etc. Very short walk to the beach. Everything you need is close by.

The house is lovely, clean, spacious, and very comfortable. It's location leaves you just a short walk from the beach, close to the ferry landing as well as lots of restaurants, fun places to visit, jetty and surf fishing, and miles of beaches to explore. The large open deck lends itself to both lounging in the sea breeze in the sun or shade, as well as star gazing away from the bright city lights. The rooms are fully furnished, have comfy beds, fun artwork, and soft plush carpet. The kitchen is open to both the dining room and living room leaving lots of room for family activities. There's even plenty of room for shaded parking under the house, as well as a small BBQ pit, and private shower for washing all of the beach bits off of you before returning upstairs.

Five of us were here for five days to go birding in the area. Kathy's house was perfect for many reasons - the living and kitchen area is a big open space which works so well for a group; there was plenty of privacy, too, with three bedrooms; the deck looking out toward the Gulf is big and Kathy has a stack of comfortable deck chairs; and the house location is relatively close to the places we wanted to go. Also, being able to cook at 'home' after a long day in the field worked really well for us, especially since we didn't find much in the way of dining-out options nearby. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet Kathy, but she made sure we had all we needed and knew how to access the house and how to take care of it before leaving. If I had to offer one minor bit of constructive criticism, it would be that this stay requires that visitors bring their own sheets and bath towels and it would have been nicer for us not to have had to do that. But the house is very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a roomy stay in this coastal (and fantastic birding!) area.

We had a great time. We both loved the beach and waking up to a view like the one at the house is amazing. Kathy is very accomodating in sharing her home. She runs a tight ship and will respond in a very timely manner. The house is super easy to clean and it has everything you would need besides food. The beach is an easy walk from the house. The home is far enough away from neighbors to be secluded. I will be staying here again and will recommend to anyone needing a large home. Their are grocery stores on the island and everything is really close.

We absolutely loved the house, it's very pretty and charmingly decorated. Tammie has added touches to make the stay very comfortable. The upper deck always has a cool breeze, the view is wonderful. The downstairs is a great play area and has a sweet Tiki bar. The house's location is central to everything in Crystal Beach, and a short walk to the beach. We highly recommend this rental. Tammie is an outstanding host.

Darling beach house with everything provided. The host was a pleasure to work with and made sure we were completely satisfied during our stay. This is a great location to getaway and can accommodate a large group. It was very clean, kept up, and exactly as it appeared in pictures. What you see, is what you get. We had a group of 10 and we were all comfortable and happy. You can easily walk to the beach or just sit on the large deck and enjoy nature. I would recommend and I would go back!

This was an amazing Thanksgiving experience! Our family was in awe of this home, the pictures just don't do it justice. We came prepared with pots, towels, etc and Leanne already had everything we needed. Also, the cleanliness of this house was very much appreciated. We will definitely be back! Lastly, make sure to take the ferry, it's nice to see the seagulls and the occasional dolphins!

We booked our trip a year in advance and it was everything we hoped it would be. The Pirates Beach house is amazing with lots of space and up to date appliances. The front deck was where we spent a lot of time and the view is gorgeous. Todd helped by preparing us with his comprehensive guidelines so we were able to have a fantastic vacation. I would highly recommend Pirates Beach and we look forward to planning another trip soon. We give Todd and his property 5 out of 5 stars!

We had a wonderful stay at The BEACH-Crystal Beach Resort. The house was clean and beautiful and the beach was great. We had a contract misunderstanding with Todd but it was resolved through Airbnb before we arrived at the house. During our stay Todd was a great host. He answered our texts and phone calls promptly and was very helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics, toaster, coffee maker, pans dishes, etc. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of them. The house was as advertised and right on the beach.

We were in the hunt for a last minute wedding venue and found Todd's house on Airbnb. From the minute that we started interacting with Todd, he was incredibly accommodating and helpful. He connected us with an outstanding local wedding coordinator for the event. The house is an absolute perfect place for a wedding! It truly was the wedding of our dreams!! The house and the overall location are gorgeous; photos do not do justice! There is a beautiful grassy area between the house and the beach where we had our ceremony and a perfect reception/bar/dance floor area beneath the house! We had guests staying in every single bed in the house and it became a home to us for the weekend. The house is very comfortable, clean and well-constricted. Location is fantastic - very close to the Big Store for last minute errands. All of our wedding guests were in awe of the house and continually commented that it was the perfect wedding venue and vacation house. Todd was incredibly flexible and accommodating to all of our needs and the entire weekend was even better than imagined! Our stay at Todd's house exceeded all expectations! Communication with the owner was prompt and he worked with me on our dates. The house is absolutely beautiful. It is very spacious and the perfect house for entertaining. The view of the beach from the balcony is breathtaking. The house is equipped with All kitchen appliance, griddle, coffee makers and pots that you will need. The house was very clean upon arrival and check-in was a breeze. The house is exactly as pictured. We stayed at Pirates beach, there were three king bedrooms and three bunk rooms. Pirates beach has for bathrooms but does not include the jetted jacuzzi shower, That is in pirates cove. Hope this helps someone bc the listing doesn't show floor plans for the beach, the one shown is for the cove. We had fourteen people staying the weekend and we Had MORE than enough room. Also, we brought our bluetooth speaker from home but there was really no need for it. The house is equipped with a surround-sound system that plays music on the outside balcony and also inside the house. When we arrived the water wasn't working inside of the house. We called the owner and he sent the emergency plumber to fix it. I was impressed for a Friday evening. Within an hour the water was working. This house does not include sheets and towels. Make sure you bring enough from home. You also have an option to rent them from Denise. Todd told me the rental fee was $100.00 but when I called her she stated 250.00 for the entire house. Since we only had 14 people she gave us enough linen for our stay for $100.00. I enjoyed sitting on the outside balcony at night feeling the cool breeze from the beach. I could only manage to get half of the patron lights to work though. Still don't know if the others were out or if I just couldn't find the switch for it. The yard and beach is very dark at night so we opted to stay on the patio versus going to the beach. If you plan to enjoy the beach at night please ask the owner for flood light access. While I there I live streamed (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) from pirates beach and I got so many compliments on the house. People have been constantly asking me for the name of the rental. You can't go wrong with this rental. It is perfect for entertaining! It is nothing less than beautiful. It was well worth the money.

Overall our trip was fantastic! The house worked out perfectly for what we wanted: a casual beach wedding and hanging out with family & friends. There was a small water issue that Todd responded to quickly and efficiently. Only thing to note that we didn't realize at first is that linens are rented separately from the house itself; Todd put us in touch with the person who handles that, and it worked out great.

The Cove is a great place to hold an event like a wedding or family reunion or in our case a combination of both! Everything about the experience was great, the houses are new and very comfortable. The kitchen is easy to work in and large enough to cook for a large group. The downstairs area is great for entertaining. We had the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception under the houses and the wedding ceremony in the yard with the gulf as a backdrop. It was perfect! Enjoy!!

It was a great stay great Hospitality service by Todd. We were there for our Grandfather's 89th Birthday, whole family from all around USA and Canada. Each and everyone enjoyed the stay. At the house we all recommend everyone to stay here, specially if you guys want to have an event. This is the place to go on Crystal Beach.

The weather was beautiful all week. The beach is within walking distance. You can drive on the beach, just get a $10 sticker from the store or gas station or you will subject to a fine. The house is beautifully laid out and accommodated our family of fourteen with no problems. TV reception is limited but we were there for the beach, and we did not miss it at all. The on site manager was a wealth of information about the local activities, and made an effort to insure our every need was met. The house is fully stocked with supplies and kitchen equipment so you will probably have everything you need to prepare any meal you choose. There are several good restaurants in the area if you get tired of cooking. Just ask the manager and she will steer you in the right direction.

Easy weekend, enough space for all 10 people and more. Loved the balcony and open living room/kitchen area. Great stay!

Great house! Location is awesome and you can definitely walk to the beach. Just wish there was Netflix or something like that so the kids had more options for downtime. Other than that, it was a perfect spot!

Highly Recommended!! We had a wedding party of 10 here and the house is great for a group of friends. Easy to walk to the beach (5 mins max) and super close to the 'Big Store' for any groceries or supplies when things run out. The house is spacious and comfortable and check in/check out were made super easy by responsiveness and hospitality of the hosts. Have a wonderful & relaxing time!

Listing was an accurate description. Very clean and up to date applicances. Has a washer and dryer which came in handy! It's a walk to the beach but not bad at all. We had 9 people and we were all comfortable. Has a very nice layout. Biggest bunk beds we have ever seen! Nice big deck also! Only thing that was disappointing was the bed in the master bedroom was SUPER hard. So if you don't like hard beds, choose one of the other rooms! The shower in the master also doesn't get very warm.

Great house, wonderful location. We had three littles under four, and this house nicely accommodated us. Plenty of room for all to sleep, run, and just a few minutes walk to the beach (although with the chill in the evening and with the kids, we did drive a couple of times). Margaret was super responsive with messages and made accommodating our time-frame easy. We were there over the holidays, which for us was perfect. *everyone* was gone and we really felt we had the whole place to ourselves. We had food with us so it worked out, but might not be for everyone, especially when everything is closed except the convenience store down the road. With the emptiness of the holidays, the ferry over wasn't a problem and the kids loved it. The way back was probably more normal, where we waited in line for an hour. Something to plan for, maybe. All in all, I'd recommend this for a quiet family vacation. (Can imagine that the summer months are a little louder though. ;-).)

The house is very clean. The decorations are amazing!!! Everywhere you look, the house had very detail beach theme!!! The hammocks stands where in a very nice spot where you could sit and spend all day enjoying the breeze coming from the Gulf.

Great place for people with pets, the fenced-in downstairs meant our dogs could run freely. Quick walk to the beach, and the area was not very busy or touristy so we had lots of space to ourselves. Also, that mattress on the bottom of the bunk bed is awesome. Plan to cook if you come here. There aren't many restaurant options nearby, and many of those around did have short hours or weren't open at all some days. Luckily the kitchen has plenty of cookware and there's a charcoal grill downstairs.

Derek was so easy to communicate with all thru out the process. Description was perfect. Gorgeous home, so comfortable. Our only regret was we weren't staying longer. We weren't aware til just a week prior that we needed to take a ferry to get here but that just added to our fun. 24 hour ferry service, free & easy to do. I hope to stay here again. We came for a quick 48-hour stay with my parents. The house is spacious and clean and easy walking distance to the beach. Note that there isn't much of a view from the house, which we didn't mind, but it is not beach-front. Derek was generous and super easy to communicate with throughout our stay. It's a great spot for couples, friends, families and pups!

The house was so bright, open, and pleasantly decorated. The pictures on the site do absolutely no justice to this welcoming beach house. There were fresh towels and linens available for all of my guests! The open kitchen/ living room floor plan is brilliant! This was a great place to spend a weekend with friends and I can't wait to book it again.

The beach house was everything we expected and more. We already miss the short walk to the beach and drinking coffee on the back porch.

Beach house was new and very clean! House was nicely decorated to fit with life by the sea. While not right on the water, it is close enough to walk back for meals and then head back to the beach. WiFi and Satellite TV were great for one rainy afternoon. Derek was very responsive to any questions we had. Very happy with our choice of this house!
