We give our greatest honouration to this accomodation - we are still totally overwelmed! The pictures of Casa Pietra cannot mirror the beauty and love for detail we found. The spa area was more than awesome, clean and pure romantic. The mountain view and the close surrounding were incredibly stunning. We found everything that was needed and many more. We are very happy to meet Luca, he is a very kind and helpful host. His warm and caring nature made it easy for us to feel at home. Kind regards to him and we hope to return another time!

Stay perfect, it just did not manage to meet in person (our fault that we arrived later than expected). The house is really nice, cozy and quiet and ideal place for a relaxing time. Luke and Lisa extremely available at any time for any request.

Stone House is simply WONDERFUL. The Private Spa is a unique luxury and everything works perfectly. Uploaded photos not give an idea of how nice and incredibly beautiful both the location. The garden offers a chance to relax, enjoy the view and the perfume of the vegetation. The location is isolated so it is essential to equip themselves with everything you could need. consigliatissima

This was our favourite stay in Europe for our vacation. Despite the long treck up the mountain to get up to the villa it was completely worth the drive! The views of the balcony are fantastic! It was like staying in a fairytale! The villa itself was extremely spacious and clean! It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The little town was so quaint and beautiful to walk through. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and family!

The Maria Elena chalet is truly a gem! Also Attention to detail and spotlessly clean. It is in a great location (in the middle of the forest) so privacy and romance sure !! The village of benabbio still is really close can be reached with a 10 minute walk along the dirt path, or two minutes by bike (cross). For every requirement the host is available and available at any time. It was really a wonderful stay and hope to be back soon! Thanks Maria Elena around !!

First of all, thank you very much for having us at your new place. It is a wonderful house, very secluded and quiet. An ideal place to relax and enjoy the day. The interior is very romantic, cozy and tasteful decorated. We had absolutely nothing to complain about.

This is an amazing place stay! Secluded miniature chalet in the mountains. When you are there - it feels like paradise :) The home is well equipped inside and is even more lovely in reality than in the photos. Maria Elena was a generous host, she welcomed us into the house, gave us her 4x4 car (the last 300 meters to the house are impossible to drive otherwise, but are of course quite walkable) and responded promptly to various questions that we had during our stay (related to local visits, etc) The place is secluded but after a short walk you come to Benabbio village. After 30-40 minutes drive you reach Lucca, with other villages along the way. Toscany offers endless possibilities for sight seeing, both nature and history. We spent a week there and managed to see very little.

Our stay at Maria Elena's Chalet was simply wonderful. We had chosen her little stone cottage for our honeymoon and it was the perfect choice: absolute quiet, lots of beautiful nature and the gorgeous little village of Benabbio. Maria Elena was also very helpful before and during our stay, always replying to any questions quickly and happy to share important and interesting facts about Benabbio and Bagni di Lucca. She also gave us her 4WD for our stay, so that it was supereasy to get to the train station. We will definitely be back again and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend our honeymoon in!

We stayed at Maria Elena 's chalet for three nights and had a great time. Maria Elena and her friends arranged everything perfectly and were very helpful, both before and during our stay. In Benabbio, the restaurant Locanda Il Cavalindo Bianco serves outstanding dinners.

Maria's place is one of the best places that we have stayed in our vacation of 25 days in France and Italy. It's a gorgeous mountain chalet which is tastefully done up and in a very serene and secluded place. Its in the midst of the mountains. Maria and her husband are great hosts. We drove down from Florence to Benabbio in our own car but when we reached here Maria handed over the keys of her 4x4 and her car was with us during the complete stay. Benabbio is a very nice cosy village with 2 great restaurants who dish out the tastiest pastas and pizzas and Maria's chalet is the icing on the cake. We loved our stay here and would love to visit again.

Fantastic accomodation, perfectly equipped, very nice and clean. Moreover on very exceptional place! Marie Elena was great host, very helpful, ready all the time. She has great places to stay, lovely garden and delicious production of her own olive oil, honey and marmelades. I can just recommend and I am already sure to come back soon. We left our heards in Benabbio :)

It's a lovely and romantic chalet in the forest of Benabbio. Maria is very helpful and she even lent us her own car (4x4) to get to the chalet. Because with your own car it isn't possible. The chalet is everything you need for a great stay in Tuscany. From here you can visit Florence, Lucca, Pisa and all the other villages nearby Benabbio by car. We really loved it!

Mrs. Maria Luisa is a very pleasant and friendly, showing us warmly greeted us right away home. The house has it all, comfortable and with all that you need to spend a pleasant weekend of relaxation and tranquility.

Medicina is a magical place. A truly old Italian village.The road to the village is a bit of a challenge but once you reach the car park it's all worth it. With beautiful views into the valley, the birds singing and surrounded by all the magnificent old buildings. Maria our host made us feel very welcome, as did the other residents of the village. The stone cottage was great, with all modern facilities. We were really sorry to leave.

We were very welcomed by Maria Luisa and her daughter Beatrice, both charming. The apartment was like the pictures at the top of a mountain in a typical village. Everything was ready for our arrival (a bottle of Chianti, fresh water and flowers, among others) The apartment was very clean with everything you need. Everything came together for a great stay, calm and authenticity to go. We can highly recommend staying at Maria Luisa.

Medicine is a fantastic town, the house is warm, clean, tastefully decorated and very pleasant to live. The welcome, availability, friendliness of Maria Luisa made the holiday even more special.

The only thing I regret – that we stayed only one night in this house. The village sits on the top of a hill. This is a quiet and beautiful place. The house is 350 old and in perfect condition for a tourist who wants to immerse into Tuscan life. Some parts of the town gas no GSM network connection. It was a problem when we tried to find the house in the evening. But it was easy: one of the exists from the main town’s square has a sign with the name of this house. The owners of the house are nice people and were always ready to help and to tell stories about leaving in this beautiful place. If it were no WiFi (and the hot water) in the house I would say it was like going 200+ years back for one day. )

Luca was very kind and more than helpful! We very much appreciated his hospitality and the attention it devotes to its guests. The house is very well equipped, clean and taking care of all the details. Atmosphere top! We plan to return in the summer season to enjoy even the outside !!!

This house is in a beautiful location. Nice walks right outside the door (we saw a family of deer on a near-by hike). Luca greeted us and brought us to the (URL HIDDEN) this time we were tired and hungry and not wanting to return to the town for groceries...he had that thought to and had already prepared an incredible dinner and breakfast for us! Luca is one of the friendliest hosts I have met. While the house was chilly (we did go in the dead of winter)...he made sure that there was an endless supply of firewood for us to keep us warm by the fire! Thanks Luca.

Luca was a wonderful and charming host. The house is in a beautiful location, secluded with stunning views, however it is worth noting that the drive from the main road to the property is quite challenging.

We had an amazing weekend at La Bella Toscana. Luca was very kind to us, and brought food and cake when we arrived. The place and the view is wonderful. The heating costs were very high as an extra cost to the rent, and we did not know that is was going to be that expensive. Except from that we had a perfect experience!

The house was great. Even at the keys we were surprised with homemade lasagna, a bottle of red wine and a bottle of olive oil. Also for breakfast the next morning was cared for us. Luca is a lovable owner we have his offer accepted to attend at his olive harvest. Again, we were entertained again plentiful. The house is located at the end of a small path and is easily reached with a normal car. It is rustically furnished and well equipped. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and then have taken us there by the fireplace.

With Luca and his parents, we have very nice people to know. It's a Beautiful cottage in the hills between the olive trees and vines. It is very tastefully decorated and with a very good facilities. The wonderfully secluded area surrounded by nature is pure relaxation. We found the holiday just great! It is a wonderfull house and many thanks for a holyday so nice.

Luca's place is a quiet, rural and relaxing place, set in a a beautiful location and building. Luca was a star for the entire trip and was available whenever we need help or advise. You do need a car to stay here! But it's well worth having to drive to.

Look no further, your search for the perfect Tuscan villa stops here. The charming Luca met us in Piazza Mazzini in the local town of Pescia. (On our drive through the town we passed 'Essenlunga' and Lidl which proved perfect for grocery shopping during our stay.) We then followed Luca to the villa, a 10 minute drive out of Pescia. We found ourselves driving up a mountain / hilltop track surrounded by beautiful pine trees and passing just 4 other properties along the way. The steep climb opened out at the top to an absolutely stunning view over the surrounding Tuscan countryside, dominated by hilltop villages as far as the eye could see. We had arrived at Luca and his families ''La Bella Toscana'' As a family of 4 with 2 children aged 8 and 11 the house proved perfect for our needs. There was plenty of outdoor space which was safe and secure for them to freely run around and explore. The small swimming pool proved a huge hit, with plenty of shaded areas for us to relax and supervise. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need, a lovely rustic kitchen with large seating area and view over the garden. The house was spotless on arrival and there was plenty of freshly laundered linen and towels. Luca upgraded the Wi-Fi during our stay which enabled us access to unlimited and fast broadband, invaluable with 2 young children. Instant hot water is a huge bonus (especially in Italy) when using the pool, and the additional outside bathroom and laundry area was fantastic. We planned many day trips for our stay but each time we went to leave the villa we rushed to return because of the peaceful setting which enabled us to fully relax. Despite this we did visit nearby Lucca, Collodi, Pisa and the beautiful Florence. Luca is a true gentleman who went out of his way to ensure we had everything we could possibly need while respecting our privacy. We enjoyed discussing with him his vision of an agritourism business and wish him the very best in his venture, we all look forward to our return to see the fruits of his enthusiasm and had work. As he told us '' I'm dedicated to making it work'', Luca we know you will! We were the first people to book this house through Airbnb and we are so glad we did.
