Tom was a fantastic host. We stayed for a ND home game weekend and the location was just right for us - not too close to campus and not too far. Tom was very accommodating with our arrival time (which was later than anticipated), his place is truly spotless and he makes you feel at home (coffee and snacks!) without being intrusive. We will stay here again!

When Tom notes that the apartment is spotless; you should take this literally. This is by far one of the greatest deals on airbnb and I hesitate to tell you too much more because I would like to keep this little secret to myself. If you find yourself in the South Bend area or just passing through and need a really spacious and enjoyable place to stay for a night or two, this is the PERFECT place. Tom is such a gracious and respectful host down to the nice items he leaves in the refrigerator for your consumption during your stay. The apartment is fully equipped with cable TV in two places (living room and bedroom), spacious walk in closest, great sized kitchen with all necessary cooking utility needs and your own private entrance with a wonderful glass front door facing due west which allows for viewing beautiful sunsets from the couch. I have found myself leaving the front door open until well after dark to enjoy the setting sun and the peacefulness of the quiet neighborhood nights. I am going on my second stay with Tom and have some other dates already booked. This one is a slam dunk for any traveler's use; I promise you won't be disappointed.

The listing was exactly as stated very clean! It only felt right to leave our shoes at the front door. Looks like you could eat off the bathroom floor! The neighborhood community is also nice. I went for a nice 3 mile jog during my time there. My friend and I stayed there because we needed a place to sleep while attending a church event Mishawaka, but it is highly conducive for someone who wants to go on a writing retreat. It is quiet and it has all the essentials to make it easy to be there (full kitchen, living room, etc.) My friend was the main worship leader at the event we attended and it gave her the rest she needed each day and in between sessions. Tom is also very pleasant. There was plenty of bottled water in the refrigerator and fresh fruit on the counter which we so appreciate since we both are Cross Fitters and are on a strict diet.

We loved Tom's place. It was so clean and nice. Super soft carpet. Apple TV in the living room. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and other kitchen items. Tom had some snacks available in the pantry & fridge, and also extra toiletries. There were nice towels in the bathroom and everything was clean. The beds were comfortable with nice sheets & comforter. The neighborhood isn't in the middle of town, but it's a nice quiet cul de sac and it wasn't too far from anything for us. Tom is friendly and checked in with us periodically. He was available by text or phone if we needed anything. We will likely stay here again if we come back to South Bend.

Place - Cheryl's place was very clean and well maintained. She provided all amenities required for a comfortable stay. Neighborhood - Surrounding is very scenic lush-green and very beautiful. Perfect place if you want be away from the city and close to nature. Host - Cheryl was a wonderful host. She was very kind and polite. We faced no trouble during our overnight stay.

What an amazing secluded little spot. Located in the heart of wine country in Southwest Michigan. This was our first AirBNB, and it was an amazing experience. Cheryl was a gracious polite host. We were in and out quickly but plan on staying again at Cheryl's in the near future to enjoy the local wine scene.

This place is AMAZING! So peaceful and clean. She was kind and extremely thoughtful. She had snacks and coffee waiting when I arrived. Ice was ready and a whole container of filtered water for us. I had everything I could need or want when I stayed. Such a cute place & well organized. It was my birthday when I stayed and not only did she remember I had mentioned it; she had a birthday card & flower for me. I mean how sweet is that! A complete stranger making me feel special on my b-day. I love the map that she had in the place where you can pin where you live. It's neat to see where everyone is from that has stayed before me. Wow! I can't say enough grey things about our stay here. Cheryl was a fantastic host. The place was clean, cool view of the pond, close to the Michigan wine trail...and best of all Cheryl even had some fresh baked banana bread for us. Couldn't have asked for a better first Airbnb experience.

My first airbnb experience: fabulous! Found precisely what I was looking for: personal retreat graced with the comfort of knowing that family life was happening around me. Total privacy, which the hosts totally respected. Gobs of room! Easy to find. Great place from which to explore southwestern Michigan. Nice walks in the neighborhood and at nearby Love Creek park. Felt very safe and cozy.

The townhouse was perfect for a stay at ND. We used it for graduation weekend and it worked out well for the family. Clean, spacious and close to ND. Lots of sleeping accommodations and each bedroom has its own bathroom. Plenty of parking.

The 3BR townhome at Notre Dame was just as described. It had all of the comforts of home and was the perfect size for 7 people that all had to take early morning showers. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Julie's townhouse was great. Bright, spacious, clean and quiet for sleeping. Julie was very accommodating and responsive to emails. Entry into the unit was easy and hassle free, I would definitely recommend this unit if you are headed to Notre Dame, we walked to campus in about 10 minutes. Only piece of advice would be to bring food and cook at the apartment as the restaurant choices in the area are lacking if you want something in walking distance. Thanks for the pleasant stay Julie!

The Dublin townhouse was perfect for our visit to ND for move in. The house was spacious and well appointed and could not have been more convenient for access to campus - a 3 minute drive.

Great location near campus with lots of amenities. Loved how many bathrooms were there so all the girls could get ready for the wedding we attended. Would come back to this listing for any other ND event. She had great ND decorations that added to the festivities.

Really cute place, just like the photos show! I loved how communicative Maggie was and how incredibly thorough her description of how to park/get into the complex was. The place was very clean and had plenty of towels, hangers, and even filtered water and coffee beans with a coffee maker available.

I really liked how everything was labeled very clearly, and that there were instructions for the air unit and the recycling, compost, etc. Maggie was very quick to respond to messages, and the neighborhood was cute and quiet.

Instructions were clear & thorough, apartment was clean and exactly as described. One downside: watch your head if you are over 6' tall when entering the bathroom. Door frame is that height. Hit my head 5 times, my wife guessed 6. 4.5/5 would stay again

This place was amazing! It had everything you could need for your stay away from home! I unfortunately did not get to meet Maggie, however she left thorough instructions for everything. She even left some great recommendations for nearby food. The room was the perfect amount of space and I was able to get sleep well at night. I throughly enjoyed my stay!

I booked this last minute and Maggie was incredibly responsive via email. She came right over when I arrived and took me around the unit. The studio itself is great. Old but in a charming way, with lots of nice accents. Good shower, nice bed, strong internet. Plus, she has anticipated everything you might need (from organic coffee to creamer) and there are notes about the place on how to work everything and the like. Everything is organic and biodegradable. Altogether an easy and comfortable stay that was far better than I even expected!

The description accurately describes the home. The home was clean and comfortable and you can tell Maggie cares about her guests. We stayed there for a football game and had a blast. We'll definitely stay there again!

Maggie was an excellent host. The description of the apartment is very accurate and it is well equipped from full cooking capabilities in the kitchen to wifi to a hair dryer in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, even for two people. Maggie carefully labeled everything in the apartment and left detailed directions. Moreover, she was clear and prompt in her communications. The apartment is conveniently close to downtown and Notre Dame. As a couple, we felt safe staying here and would stay here again. Thanks for being a great host, Maggie!

When we first arrived everything looked exactly like the pictures posted, Khalil left us some snacks which came in handy as we unpacked. We stayed here for 1 month while working at Notre Dame, there was 3 of us and plenty of room, we had cable and internet access. There were plenty of towels and blankets even a foldout mattress if we had guests for a little. Khalil was extremely accommodating and always responded in timely manner with questions and concerns. He even came and put out deck furniture when the weather was nice so we could sit outside. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to stay near Notre Dame University for a weekend or an extended period of time!!!

Khalil's place is lovely and perfect to stay in for any period of time. I spent 8 weeks in the apartment and it was fantastic - Khalil had extras (cereal, milk, cookies, toothbrushes, soda, kitchen rolls, etc) ready for me the moment I walked through the door. Khalil himself is an excellent host; friendly, communicative, courteous and above all professional. He makes dealing with booking, check in and check out a breeze - you couldn't find a nicer guy. The apartment is spacious and has a powerful a/c (which was much needed in the Indiana summer). My only complaint is that some of the appliances (like the cooker) are getting on in years, but they still work well enough. All in all, this apartment is a great space in a handy location (20 mins walk from the Notre Dame gates/Eddy street). I strongly recommend it and any time I'm back in Indiana I'll look to Khalil first.

This place was great!!!! CheckIn: A breeze. The keys were in a lockbox right by the door. The Place: Just as described, clean and functional. It was in great proximity to campus and the stadium (approx. $5 Uber to the south edge of campus. Nice neighborhood and plenty of street parking. It was just far enough away from campus so that the traffic and shenanigans were not an issue (but close enough to be convenient for a football weekend). Amenities: Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, blankets, & pillows (if you sleep with 4 pillows, like I do, being a few extra. If not, there were plenty.) Cable was out the weekend were here, but it ended up fine, as it forced us all to have actual conversations with each other. Most of which was spent reminiscing about old times and laughing hysterically about the weekend's events). The Host: Khalil was great! He even had snacks (cookies, popcorn, chips, bottled water, sodas, and COFFEE!!!!) for us when we arrived. Overall: This place was top notch! We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. I wish I had two more hands so I could give it 4 thumbs up!!!

Kahlil was very welcoming - before we arrived he sent us an email with instructions on parking and how to enter the apartment. When we arrived there was water, soda and snack available. The house was impeccably clean and well appointed. Easy walk to the Notre Dame campus. We would definitely stay here again.

My son and I were traveling all over Indiana visiting colleges on his Spring Break and it was such a pleasure to arrive at Khalil's place to a box of cookies and a welcome note after a long drive. Check-in and out was a breeze, communication was easy, and we felt at home right away. If my son decides to attend Notre Dame I'll be staying with Khalil again, I hope. I stayed at the apartment for 5 weeks. It was half way between South Bend downtown and Notre Dame campus. 15-20 walk either way. The river walk is a block from the apartment. The apartment was stocked with everything that I needed for an extended stay.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here when we came in for a football weekend. There was plenty of room with two beds and two couches (one is a pull-out). The place is very clean and within walking distance to Eddy Street and campus. Khalil was very hospitable and left us cookies, snacks, and refreshments! He was also very easy to get in contact with. I'd definitely stay here again!

This site worked perfectly for us -- we were in town for a family wedding and unable to get a room in the designated hotel, but this apartment was right down the street and right in the middle of everything we needed. The place was sparkling clean and in good condition, and worked fine for the 4 of us. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

This place was absolutely perfect. The location could not be beat (steps from the main gate and the business college where I took some classes). For those traveling with children, you can also walk to the playground at ND. Responsive owner and clean home. Fit our needs perfectly!

This apartment was just perfect for the three of us. It is quaint and cozy. It was exactly what we needed. I was very impressed with how immaculately clean the apartment was. There were plenty of towels and linens available for each one of us. Also, it was very convenient to have a washer and dryer in the house. In addition to having the luxury of the apartment being across the street from ND, everything else we needed was less than fifteen minutes away! We truly felt like it was our vacation home for 8 days. I will definitely be returning!

The description does not explicitly mention that this apartment is in fact attached to another house, and we found that the neighbors were rather loud (but willing to turn down their music) when we arrived. My family stayed with Marie over graduation weekend at Notre Dame and I am very grateful for her hospitality. There was plenty of space for my brother, dad and mom! They all enjoyed having a full kitchen downstairs!

I'm staying at this space close to Notre Dame. It was a great host easy to talk to, place was clean and cozy I would love to stay there again.

Marie was easy to communicate with--responded quickly to messages both before and during my stay at her place. She was very accommodating about getting an extra key for me and my friends. The place was clean and well kept. The full kitchen with utensils and dishes was a plus. I was in town for a conference / business / academic trip to South Bend and stayed with two other people. In the future, I would stay here again, but probably either by myself or with one other person since it seems best suited to accommodate 1-2 people, not 1-3 as the page originally suggested. Also, though I was not bothered at all, it is probably worth noting that if you're going to be around the apartment in the day, Marie and her family will be living life, as all people do, so there is the occasional sound effect provided by her children. :) As I said, I wasn't particularly bothered, but if you're in town and need to get a good deal of intense work done around the apartment, it may not be a good fit for you. Finally, it is a nice, walk-able distance to Notre Dame and to several places to eat at Eddy Street Commons. Overall, I had a really positive experience here and would stay again.
