We have twelve of spent 6 nights in the beautiful Villa Podere Brughee and were absolutely delighted with the very spacious, super clean and lovingly furnished house! There was nothing missing, we spent most of the time in the landscaped garden beside the nice donkeys, horses and cows, as well as the pool and used the grills extensively. Guiseppe, the owner of the villa has, we even contacted before arrival if we would find the way or have other questions, a friend organized that took us in reception when we arrived earlier than planned and was consistently helpful. We recommend the Villa each group, would like to spend the day relaxing in a beautiful environment and would go back anytime!

Andreas and Giuseppe are wonderful hosts and the villa is as beautiful as pictured. Thank you so much for having us! The villa has two apartments with countless bedrooms, two kitchens and plenty of bathrooms. We were a total of 17 people (10 parents and 7 kids) and we still had space to space. The old Italian property was refurbished by Giuseppe and it looks stellar. It retains all it's charme but it has all conveniences of the modern world. Including fast and reliable internet. Giuseppe was welcoming us warmly, showed and explained everything and even had wood and tools for the fireplaces ready. And most of all he was a very likeable and approachable guy. We enjoyed barbecue, summer evenings, long talks, playing with the kids around the house and petting the animals. The ping pong table neatly hidden in a wooden shed was a treasure. Ahh how wonderful to wake up in Villa Podere Brughee, look out the window and see all that green and the animals. Invigorating. We hope to be back!

This was a great vacation and perfect location. We have a group of 16 that fit more than comfortably and I believe the house could easily have slept at least 3-4 more people with no problem. The house was very clean and way nicer than expected. Andrea was a very accommodating host that picked us up from the ferry and even drove us to go pick up groceries to save us money from having to order a taxi. He was available 24 hours a day through his cell phone and offered assistance every single time we needed it. If you are traveling to Lake Como this is a perfect place to stay at because you are on a large amount of land with seemingly nobody else around which makes it perfect for a large group. If we return to Lake Como anytime son we will all for sure do our best to come back to this house. Thank you!

we were 16 adults in this big house. Very welcome by Giuseppe and his wife. the house is consistent with the description, in the countryside among the animals and yet quiet. Each has found its place and the rooms were comfortable. Tremezzo is a good starting point for touring on Lake Como and Lake Maggiore. OK supermarket car 5mn Menaggio (CONAD) open market or junction 24/24 on the road to Lugano 15 minutes drive. embarcadre Bellagio on site, and walking tour for the courageous, growing ... Not to mention the barbecue and pool (alas we did not take advantage but it should be great)

We loved our stay at Villa Podere Brughee! Mid July 2015 we came here to have a 3-week family vacation with a group of 21 people. Although the pictures on Airbnb already looked fantastic, the real scene took our breath away. Rustic farmhouse surrounded by green fields with horses, cows and donkeys. During our stay we could even celebrate the birth of a new baby donkey and a baby cow. The place is well suited for a family holiday: enough space for everyone inside and outside, pingpong table for the younger ones, sunbeds to read fav books on for the elder, etc. The swimming pool was great with the above average temperatures. Also with a 15-minute walk downhill you would arrive at the lake where swimming was great as well. We made good use of the 2 BBQ's at the property and with the outdoor tables and the fantastic 360 view all meals were a special feast. Andrea was a great host, from the first contact he was very helpful and thoughtful (by suggesting this house, since I had first looked into a smaller house which would not have fitted us). Guiseppe, the caretaker of the property, was very helpful and caring (by providing us new garbage bags outside, every day!) and made sure everything was okay. Also he recommended us this great restaurant 'La Vecchia Magnolia' in Menaggio where we spent the last night, having a delicious dinner and looking back on a wonderful vacation. For anyone looking for a spacious house with beautiful scenery in the Lake Como area, we highly recommend Villa Podere Brughee!

Our host made himself very available and did his max to let us enjoy our journey at Como Lake. The house is very big and the 16 we were felt very at ease and confortable! I do recommand the house !!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Andrea to host tailor-made: we were expected by Giuseppe after our long drive ... The plan, very detailed, we has facilitated the arrival at the Villa. The house is in the countryside, in a very neat farm, charming and comfortable. However, we must accept the sound animation: donkeys, dogs and roosters (kept in their enclosures) are full of vitality! We easily made a fire in the stove with the wood prepared daily by Giuseppe. We were 3 families together and each has easily found its place in the various rooms (It would be difficult to make a plan of the premises as the provision is complex, linked to ancient architecture beautifully renovated). The time this October was beautiful and allowed us beautiful walks on Lake Como and all around. It is very easy to go to Milan. We were all delighted with the stay. Andrea thank you!

Lucia is been very kind. The apartment is very close to the lake and boasts a beautiful view and private parking.

We were very well received by Lucia, very cheerful and warm. She speaks French qq same words. It is also good advice for restaurants or tours. very well placed apartment with a nice view of the lake come. He still lacking a kitchen even though the Italian coffee offered by Lucia is excellent and a real dining table.

Lucia was an amazing host! Helpful and always super friendly! The rooms were large, clean and nice and we were treated to coffee and cake every morning. The view from the balcony was incredible!

We keep very good memories of our stay with Luicia and his parents. Particular attention is given here to the home either before with the transmission of information by email or on site with a lot of documentation and answers to all questions. A special mention for which Virginia has prepared me with love coffee. We had also not paid attention to the fact that housing was not equipped with a fridge but Lucia has brought us his available with great kindness. We highly recommend this address which is a very good starting point for walks on both sides of Lake Como.

Amazing experience! Such a beautiful, cute, private home with the best view of Lake Como and the Alps. Lucia and her family were amazing hosts, shared local knowledge and picked us up from the bus with detailed instructions. Beatrice and Tatiana were great when it came to organising our trip. When we arrived our flight was delayed and Tatiana was brilliant about waiting for us, keeping in touch and even speaking to our car hire company to sort the problems we were having. The house itself is just as described, totally charming and comfortable. The views of the lake are really special both from the little garden and all the rooms in the house. However waking up and going to sleep with the French doors opening onto views of the lake from our bedroom was the main reason we booked the house and we weren't disappointed! It was a home from home and we had an amazing time, the house was the perfect base and close to the ferry to explore all the amazing little villages along the lake. Nice restaurants and little shops just minutes from the house. We had a magical time and would have no hesitation recommending the house or location.....our 6 yr old son cried the morning we left, saying he didn't want to leave, I have to say I felt the same way! However I would suggest this house is only suitable for a family or very close friends as you do have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the other bedrooms and main bathroom. Our stay here was AMAZING! I stayed here for a few days with a group of friends for a wedding. It was even better than expected. It was the perfect location. Nice. Clean. Beautiful. Beatrice and Tatiana were really nice, friendly, and great hosts overall. Tatiana was waiting for us when we first arrived and gave us the tour and basic instructions. We rented the whole villa plus the private apartment. They were both excellent. I would definitely come back! Highly recommended!

Our stay was just wonderful. The place is so nice with a view on the lake, a garden, a terrace and such a lovely apartment.. It's located between Menaggio and Lenno and there's a ferry lane to go to Bellagio on the other side of the Lake. A nice wine bar just next door and a pharmacy, grocery's, nearby. The owner is just so kind and helpful.

The apartment was lovely, the views were stunning, the garden was perfect for my little niece to have some outside space to play while we relaxed with a wine. The kitchen was well appointed and the location very close to bus stop, little shops and restaurants. One thing to note is that you do have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the second and third (which is an open mezzanine) so you'll want to put the early risers in the main bedroom to not wake up the others. The beds are also harder than most of our party are used to (except my brother who thought his was a bit soft!) Finally, we had unusually hot weather (at first the house remained cool but after a few consecutive days above 35 degrees it remained hot day and night). As one reviewer has already said the street is noisy if the windows are open at night and also as we were a family group 2 fans weren't enough for us to all get a good night sleep so another fan was purchased which got us through our last 2 nights. On balance as hot weather is not typical for the area I would recommend this accommodation to travelers (particularly families) wanting a bit more space than a hotel room.

Beatrice's place is beautiful. It had a real homely feel and catered for all our needs. It's location was perfect to access restaurants, bars and ferry ports.

House very clean and nicely decorated with music and reading available. Comfortable and quality bed linens. Lake view from everywhere. Friendly garden for meals and naps. House perfect for 4 see 5 people without complete privacy. Note for those who are sensitive to it, a lot of traffic noise from the road, this is the price to pay for the lake view. Parking and access to difficult because very narrow street. Easy access for boat to ellagio. Travel from 17 to 22 May 2015 2 adults and 2 children from 3 years.

The apartment was lovely and well situated for exploring the area - the private parking space was a real plus. Beatrice was in good communication prior and during our visit. We enjoyed relaxing on the beatiful outside area and was happy to have our evening meals out there as well under cover. It was magical to look out on the lake and to see the busy ferries coming and going. The down side of the apartment was the road noise and loud neighbors. Air conditioning did not seem an issue at our booking but we experienced some really hot weather during our visit and that would have been nice. Overall it was a great a visit.

Micaela was welcoming and kind enough to leave essentials in the fridge for our first night. We (6 guests) enjoyed our stay and we would recommend staying here as it is clean, great views and neighborhood, close to lake and overall a cosy home. Help at hand was quickly available. This house is just DARLING and has the most beautiful view. I will never forget waking up each morning to the view from the master bedroom. Total magic. Roby greeted us and was super helpful and friendly. We have four children (aged 7,5, 2 and 2) and the house was just perfect.

Micaela and Robbie were VERY nice and helpful. They picked us up from the bus stop and gave great recommendations for places to see. The house was breathtaking and very clean. The pictures don't do it justice (the house is unbelievably beautiful). I highly recommend their beautiful home!! Micaela was very quick to respond and very informative! Also, it was a quick walk to the lake from the house which made it very easy to get around without a car. HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying there.

We had a wonderful time in Micaela's gorgeous home. The home is located in a lovely residential community, and is just a few minutes from the ferry and the market. The view from the terrace is unbelievable, and having breakfast and post-dinner drinks/dessert at the terrace overlooking Lake Como became our favorite thing to do. Micaela's friend Robbie was extremely nice, and stayed late to meet us even though our arrival was delayed by a couple of hours (despite the fact that his own 60th birthday party was happening that evening). Robbie and Micaela had thoughfully provided breakfast supplies, milk, and even left a bottle of wine, for us. Greatly appreciated as we got in pretty late. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and it is easy to see that the owner clearly enjoys cooking. Something to keep in mind - much like most neighborhoods of Lake Como, the roads are pretty narrow in Tremezzo, and parking, and pulling out our 7-seater SUV in the small garage was definitely challenging. Overall, a truly wonderful experience, and we hope to stay there again. Thanks, Robbie and Micaela!

This beautiful little apartment is perfect for those wanting to soak up the amazing Lago Di Como away from Tourists in an authentic little village hidden away up in the hills. The apartment has everything you need (apart from WIFI) to have a great stay. The place itself is part of the village of Viano which is a pretty solid walk up hill from the lake. However, once you get down to the lake there is an amazing park where you can sit and also swim. Thank you!

We have not met Carlotta but his mother, who is very welcoming. This accommodation is a perfect base to visit Lake Como, a little out of town (10 / 15min walk) but this will really feel on holiday! The small village of Viano is also very charming. In short a great stay! Grazie!

We enjoyed a lot Carlotta' s apartment: it's clean, well equipped as described on the site, and perfect for a couple. Viano is a old authentic Italian village, and the pedestrian paths uphill are a real pleasure, if you are a fit walker. Carlotta' s father welcomed us and helped us with info about Tremezzo. We recommend it if you want to spend a great holiday on Como lake!

A lovely quaint place in a beautiful little stone town. If you don't have a car it's a simple 15-20 minute walk. The local beach is wonderful and Tremezzo was my favorite place to stay. Gabriella is absolutely lovely and this was her grandmothers home originally.

Carlotta's apartment is one of our favourite Airbnb stays. Her mom, Gabriella, is a delight. She met us at the apartment, showed us how everything works, and explained which shops to go to and where to park for free. Her advice was spot-on and made driving around the narrow, sometimes confusing streets of Menaggio much easier. The apartment is located in an old stone building in a small village up on the hill. It was a real novelty to stay there. It felt like an authentic living-in-an-Italian-village experience. Right near to the apartment (a 2 minute walk) is a nice restaurant (Trattoria Rana) and a farm that sells butter and cheese produced from their dairy. The trattoria makes its own pasta, sauces, semifreddo and more. It's useful to have a car to get around here, especially when you want to go grocery shopping, or to another town. Thank you Carlotta and Gabriella for your hospitality, we had a wonderful stay. :)

Really lovely place to stay in an old typical small village located in the mountain overlooking Como lake. Not easy access with your luggage but we were lucky to have Carlotta's mum, Gabriella, to pick up us at the bus station and to drive us to the village and to show us the house. This is a relaxing place suitable for 2 people as the room is very small. There is a nice Trattoria in the village with an amazing view of the lake and very friendly owner, with access to the only WiFi in the village. There is no shop for grocery around without car and the breakfast is 20 min walk down to Tremezzo through lovely cobble stone paths. But it was a nice break for us and the trip by boat to Como and on the lake is a must to do.

Carlotta's family's house is very charming and wonderfully cool even on hot days. Small, but very functional and clean. Thanks to Carlotta's description I easily found the house by public transport. And Carlotta's mum kindly picked me up at the boat stop. You can easily spend some days in the area without a car. (For longer stays a car would be nice to be able to get a bit further - and the supermarket is a 20-25 min walk away, so it's a bit heavy to carry the groceries back uphill). The Greenway along the coast is a good path to follow to explore by foot and get to the neighboring villages. Both Villa Carlotta and Villa del Balbianello are must sees! Villa Carlotta is the least touristy and has an amazing botanical garden. And of course do take a boat trip; Como-Tremezzo is incredibly beautiful - or just to Bellagio right on the other side of the lake. Thanks Carlotta! Would love to stay again.

Great location, walking distance from the lake and the ferry. House is very nicely decorated with all the amenities you need. We enjoyed the quietness of the surroundings, having dinner in the garden. Perfect for a family of 4. Kate was a great host and had left a bottle of italian wine for us ! We will definitely recommend the adress to friends.

We had a lovely time on lake Como! The house is on a good location with a nice garden. We've stayed there with two couples, which the house was a perfect size for. The house manual is great, with lots of tips and tricks!

Kate is a fantastic host. We travelled to Lake Como as a family of 4 with a very young baby. We had a medical emergency shortly after arriving the lake. We couldn't thank Kate and her family enough to help us communicating with the Italian emergency service. She also gave lots of support throughout our stay and made us feel like home. The house is around 10mins walk from the lake. It is very close to the Tremezzo pier so it is very convenient to get to other parts of the lake. You will find everything you need inside the house. Both bedrooms are good size and flood with sunlight during the day. We would definitely take Kate's house again if we travel to lake como again!

We spent an enjoyable week in the house of Kates. We came to 5, 2 adults and 3 small children. The bedding is excellent, and the house perfectly equipped. The children were able to enjoy the many games available! The specifications of tips left by Kates we liked and we went every day to the park Maier to bathe and drink a spritz! Lake Como is a beautiful place! Kate thank you !!

Kate's house is located around Lake Como. The garden is nice and the house is well equipped. Although Kate was not there when we arrived, she at everything to make our stay. If you are staying in Bellagio, know that this is the ideal point to tour around the lake, however, be prepared for a real headache for recycling: as in some remote villages in France plastic collection, paper and glass do are some days! You will be super motivated to recycle your waste perfectly.

The house is spacious and has a lovey yard. There is not a view of the lake, but the view of the mountains is spectacular. The walk to the lake from the house is fairly short, but all uphill on the way back. The lake is absolutely breathtaking once you get down there. There is a place for sun bathing and swimming and also several restaurants near by. The grocery stores down the street were really small, but we managed to make do. Kate left a list of things to see and do in the area, which was nice.

Fantastic place especially if visiting with young children. The host was very accommodating and the house had everything we needed. Great kitchen and garden and all in an ideal location just minutes from the lake, beaches and ferries.

We had an amazing stay in Bellagio. The house is very beautiful both inside and out and having the scenery overlooking the Como lake is such a treat! Our host went above and beyond what we would have ever expected. When we hadn't realized that the shops were closed on Sunday afternoon, Marilisa even provided us with food (which we were more than happy to pay for). We were be able to eat in despite the original plans of eating out which we discarded as the house was so nice we wanted to stay and enjoy the patio! We had rented a car for our holiday and the parking here was convenient. It was handy to have a car in this location, as the roads are narrow and dont necessarily have foothpaths. We would have gladly stayed longer in here and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Maria Elisa made us feel at home. The place is better than in the pictures and the cleaning is excellent. It has an amazing view of the lake. We arrived at mid night and she was waiting for us with the best mood. She even let some food in the house for our breakfast and lunch. We really enjoyed our stay at her house and we strongly recommend this apartment to anyone who is planning a trip in the area. When we leave the apartment, she gave us some apples from her back yard. She is a great host!

Marilisa is very sweet and her place is even nicer than it looks in the photos. Really, the photos just do not do the place justice. It is very cute, clean, and comfortable. I wish I had booked my trip to stay there a little longer.

We had a wonderful stay at Marilisa's place just outside Belaggio and found it to be the perfect base for our 2 days / 2 nights in Lake Como. We were 4 adults, and the space worked very nicely. The kitchen was excellent and the view for the balcony was great. Nice to have an easy place to put the car as well. It works best if you do have a car, since it's a short drive to Belaggio but it would be a rather long walk. I'd happily recommend Marilisa's place!

I am a student and was traveling with my mom and this place was perfect. Nestled up on the hill, the house overlooked the mountains and lake. It was beautiful. We had a car and there was a garage to park it which was very helpful. Even without a car, many things are very accessible. Maria Elisa had accommodated us with many necessities and supplied breakfast food on her behalf. We will definitely be back and I could not say better things about this place!

Nice house. But very high on the mountain. (All done with the car). Nice view of the valley and the mountains. Furnishing basic but good. Mattress 2 pers. bed and soil to be replaced. However, super view from your bed. Landlord is a very nice man. Pay attention to the reviews. Apartment and house Como Tremezzo are mixed. As a result, very confusing ....

Giancarlo gave us a very friendly, even though we arrived as announced a few hours later. He provided detailed house shown and given some valuable tips. Parked we do not have on the property, because the entrance opens into a sharp curve and you need here to turn some driving skills. But there are 50 meters further on street parking, which you can use. Even our departure came Giancarlo from Como to say goodbye. The house is beautifully situated on the lake. It has a beautiful garden, but the overgrown very dense and steep about is (for ball games our children so not suitable). Unfortunately hinder, as described, some tall trees, the view of the lake, which would otherwise be fantastic here. Interior decoration are from the 60s and still breathe the atmosphere of the time! It is simply furnished. Essentially but you can find everything you need (wine glasses would still have been nice). From the house there is on the road or a steep walk in about 15 minutes walking on the sea and in place (it takes back depending on your condition a little longer). Wunderbar the swimming area is in a small park with many shady places. The water is excellent here! One of the most pleasant places to swim in this part of the lake at all! Every day we were eventually here for swimming. The Tremezzo is determined mainly by a few large. It runs along the shore and has achieved some Local and cafes. A proper center does not exist. We have enjoyed the time here, the lake is simply gorgeous!

We very enjoyed the staying in Helen Home! The Helen Home has a great view on the Como lake and mountains from the large terrace and from all the rooms. It is well equipped home. Very quick, informative and friendly contact with host Marina during booking process and afterwards including trip recommendations in the region. We absolutely recommend the location and would come again!

The wifi did not work at all, the fridge did not work at all even though we were told we had access to the whole kitchen, and the shower is super weird. There is no curtain and the whole thing completely flooded even when you took a two second shower. And they clearly knew this was a problem because there were like four mops in the bathroom. There was also only one tiny trashcan in the whole house, and like two available outlets. Not great for students at all because of the wifi/lack of outlet situation

A charming, perfect for a long or short stay. It feels like home and Caterina is very attentive and responsive! We would definitely recommend!

Me and my girlfriend spent five days in Caterina's beautiful house in Tremezzo and we really had a great time there. The house is exactly as we imagined it and was very well located to explore Lago di Como and its surroundings. The house was clean, tidy and well prepared and we felt like at home. Caterina was a wonderful host. She contacted us in advance, was waiting for us at the boat harbour, rode as home, explained everything about the house, the village and the surroundings, and gave us good advise on what to do. The day of our arrival she spent part of the afternoon with us and even took us to the supermarket and back home again in her car. In summary, everything was superb. Thanks, Caterina!

Catrina's home was fantastic! It had everything that we needed and more. It was a short walknto getting the ferry for a visit of lake Como and to a beach for swimming. She was an excellent host who provided us with everything we needed, bread butter, water, cakes. The house was very clean and had aircon a great thing in 40 degrees C!! I cannot recommend her and her house highly enough.

We stayed 4 nights at Caterina to visit Lake Como in particular. You find all comfort, as if you were at home: sheets, towels and bath business, enough breakfast (before the house on the small table on the terrace in the sun with the birds singing in the background ... ), the information about the area .... the place is quiet as far from the road and you can quite forget your car during your stay as everything is in walking distance: bakery, restaurants, supermarket, footpath to along the lake (or boat to discover Menaggio, Bellagio, Lenno, Como, Varenne ...).

Caterina's house is full of charm and very well situated and equipped. It is easy to walk around by taking the Green Way (Caterina and thanks to great advice!). Thank you for everything we will come back with pleasure

Our holiday started at this beautiful house. The hospitality of Caterina was amazing. She showed us around and gave us helpful tips. As avied cyclists, we really enjoyed this beautiful area. Everything we needed was in the house. It is Defiantly a recommendation. Thank you Caterina!

Caterina is a great host who took time to explain the area, things to do and a few tricks that make the holidays (trips, parking, good glacier ...). The house is identical to the photos, very nice and very well equipped. A little dark but the period lent itself well. The village is conveniently located close to the greenway and right in the most beautiful corner of the lake. Caterina thank you for the welcome!

The house is incredible, very lovely, very nice, with all equipments. There is a lot of comfort in the house. The place is perfect, we don't need a car to discover the area: with the boats, the bus, and the walk (the Greenway is just above the house !), we can do everything ! Caterina is very nice: she explained us everything. We had so wonderfull holidays in this house !

Simonetta was a fabulous host! Her property is well situated and the large bedroom has clear views across Lake Como to Bellagio. The property is incredible, set on beautiful grounds. She was so helpful and equipped me with her many handy hints and tips during my stay. She made suggestions for activities to do in the area, sights to see and where to eat for the best local food experiences - she even made restaurant and taxi reservations in Italian on my behalf. I really enjoyed the experience of staying at Simonetta's property and would highly recommend a stay in Griante to anyone.
