“This is the heart of Carrboro, the local co-op with an awesome outdoor area for hanging out. The hot and cold salad bars are a great choice for a quick healthy meal. During the spring through fall there is live music Thursday evenings and Sunday at brunch. High quality products, locally sourced, with lots of options for gluten free and other dietary needs.”

“It's not for nothing that Al's Burger Shack was voted the best burger in the country by trip advisor. These are seriously good fare. Try the "Bobo Chili Cheeseburger", the burger that won "Best in the Country" or the "Mookie" (my fav). Make sure to order some rosemary crinkle fries for the table. Two locations - one on Franklin Street and one in Southern Village. Outdoor seating, pet friendly, closed Sundays.”

“For wine aficionados, this is the place. You can browse their impressive wine racks or try their delicious cocktails. I'm partial to the "coca" appetizer, a flatbread with figs and arugula, and their trio of mini-burgers. Outside dining in good weather, too -- and right next to Steel String brewery, for those who enjoy beer over wine!”

“It's a coffee/ tea shop that also sells sodas, kombucha, some sandwiches, bagels, chocolates, and even some pieces of fruit. They sometimes have local musical talent on the weekends. Indoor and outdoor seating. Laptops users welcome here. They do have games of various kinds that you can play or perhaps an engaging conversation is more fun to you? And, on good weather Sunday afternoons you might find some Ole Timey musicians outside playing, starting around 2 PM.”
