Great value and great place to stay! Quiet and comfortable.

Amazing place. My girlfriend and I went out there to explore all the state parks, waterfalls, and cave in the area and this place was perfectly set around those. Among arriving, Stephen made sure we were comfortable and knew where everything was. He even said we could eat anything we wanted! The room was comfortable and his house is off the beaten path. He also had a movie room set up with a projector that he didn't even mention in the description. That was an awesome addition after hiking all day. He is extremely nice and I would definitely recommend anyone to come here.

Wonderful place and very hospitable people. Bob is really very helpful and funny. And if you like birds, there are nothing more relaxing than sitting on the porch drinking coffee and watching the birds that come to feed on Bobs bird feeders. Loved the place.

Bob and Nancy contributed in a wonderful way to our experience in the area. Firstly, the area is gorgeous ! Preston, where the house is located, is central to all the outdoor enjoyment that the area can offer and very close to the quaint town of Lanesboro with its many overpriced B&Bs. Bob and Nancy's house is as pretty as a B&B and more welcoming, as this is not a business. The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and clean, just like the rest of the house. We were thrilled to see some of Bob's fantastic photos and talk about fishing and other activities in the area. Our hosts were very flexible with our late arrival and our out of the ordinary schedule. They did their best to make us feel welcome and to provide solutions for all our needs. Both my husband and I highly recommend this house as a great getaway !

The best airbnb experience we ever had. We use airbnb often and this is by far the best one. Elaine has been a super host, she made us feel at home right from the moment we stepped in. She was available for us when ever we needed and her house is super clean and very nicely arranged to the smallest detail. The location is calm and peaceful - the perfect place to stay! Wow, it was a great place to stay, perfect for a couple getaway. Nice to have a couple drinks downstairs the evening we arrived courtesy of Louanne. Perfect way to start our stay! We had a great time. Easy check in. Excellent responsive hosts. Fantastic space and location. Amazing soundproofing. The music started around noon and continued into the night but was only just audible through all the soundproofing they’ve done. It actually made rather nice background noise a la elevator music (but no Kenny G). The music could be potentially bothersome to light sleepers who go to bed early. However it did not phase us at all. Definitely will stay here again on our next trip to Lanesboro.

An iconic place. Very clean with high quality furnishings that do not detract by having a crowded decor. The windows are awesome and we loved to watch this small town got to bed (I don't remember a car going by most of the night) and wake in the morning with sunrise coming through the windows. Great experience. The kind we like.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying here. The loft looks great and it's cozy and very clean. I love the view of downtown from the windows.

We understood that there may be some noise from the bar down below, but it wasn't just a little noise, it was pretty intense until the bar closed. (We were there on an event weekend.) There was also a way for bar patrons to bypass the first door and get to the upper door, where they bothered us a few times. Otherwise, the loft was really nice, we enjoyed it the rest of the time we were there. The host provided all the expected amenities, and offered a couple free drinks in the bar below.

This is a great place to stay in Lanesboro. You are close to the outfitters, stores and restaurants. It is a great place! I highly recommend this place to stay.

Wow, what a find! What a wonderful, charming and cozy house! This is the best looking, and most "authentic" house in Lanesboro! Maeg and Dale a wonderful hosts, they try to accommodate you to make your vacation there best it could be. House is located on Coffee street (quiet at night), which intersect with main street one block from the house. It is close to everything: bike trail is crossing the street in front of the house; all shops, restaurants and attractions are within minutes walking from the house. The house has their own parking in the back. Cozy bedrooms are upstairs (steep stairs). Downstairs there is kitchen, family room with one of the most comfortable sofas we sat in (out 16 year old did not want to leave it to go anywhere). But for me the best place was deck! it is facing the coffee street, has fireplace, chairs, tables. We sat there reading, eating, playing... We had a time of our life, thank you Meg and Dale!

Great little house right by the bike trail and an easy walk to the restaurants stores and theater. Loved sitting on the porch!

For those looking for a modest Midwestern village place to stay, Dale & Meg's place hits the spot, especially with the front porch on which to enjoy a glass of wine while admiring the scenery and watching the world go by. You'll have the entire house to yourself with easy access to restaurants, shops, the bicycle trail on the former Milwaukee RR bed, and even a cattle auction on Wednesday mornings for those so interested. We'll definitely plan on staying there the next time we're in Lanesboro. Be ware that like in many smallish towns in the Midwest, many restaurants tend to close as early as 8 so. For those of you that are more used to Minneapolis, New York, or Buenos Aires, be sure to eat early. Some of them are also closed on Wednesday which further limits one's options. On the other hand there is the Wednesday morning cattle auction for those that want to see something different. Also be sure to checkout the 1930's vintage wood diner for breakfast with it's made from scratch hash browns, waffles with genuine maple syrup, etc. Relax and Enjoy!!!

Dale and Meg's cabin was wonderful! We had an awesome girls weekend in Lanesboro! The cabin is centrally located and very close to some very fun restaurants. It was clean and they had all of the essentials for a good weekend!

Just like being at home, kitchen had everything you could need and the location is perfect to enjoy Lanesboro. Just a few short minutes to walk to downtown.

The place was exactly as advertised in a quiet residential neighborhood a few blocks from the library and the big city park. This would be a great place for a family reunion. I hope we can stay there again.

Tuckers place was perfect launching pad for a bike adventure or an easy walk to downtown Lansboro. Its clean with lots of beds for bigger gatherings.

We had a great time in Lanesboro and had this great place to call home for a few days. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to all the fun Lanesboro has to offer. Our family of 7 enjoyed having a place to rest comfortably, cook and share our meals, and reconnect. Tucker was a great host. He was available to answer our questions quickly and made us feel welcome. We hope to visit again someday.

This house was located in a nice neighborhood. Near a school and within walking distance of the downtown area. We used the downstairs bedroom and enjoyed it he living room. Bathroom was tiny but clean and filled with all one could need. Picnic table out back would have been great if the weather had been a bit warmer. We would definitely come back.

Bev is such wonderful host! Ready with great suggestions of things to do and see. Unfortunately I had a bum knee, so wasn't able to do everything I wanted to do. But I was so happy just to stick around this beautiful place. My briard Archie was greeted like a guest and he had the time of his life!

I read all of her information on airbnb before booking, asked a couple of questions after booking which she answered quickly (within the day) so we didn't have any surprises. The grounds were also very well maintained and we really enjoyed walking in her yard making small discoveries and enjoying the scenery. Kids loved her cinnamon rolls. This is a perfect spot for nature- and animal-lovers, and Beverly has thought of everything when it comes to amenities for the room. As a host she is warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I couldn't believe how accommodating she was to my aging greyhound and can't thank her enough for her flexibility, creativity and concern when my dog experienced an unexpected health problem. I especially enjoyed the beautiful creek at the edge of Bev's property--even got in some fishing. Her rates are very reasonable and fair. I would definitely consider a return visit.

Bev is an awesome host. Highly recommend a guided fossil tour. She is incredibly knowledgeable. My 7 and 5 year olds found tons of fossils.

We recently rented this home in Lanesboro for a winter weekend get- a-way. We could not have been more thrilled with Jane and Jesse's home. It was beautifully appointed, clean, and cozy....much of the weekend was spent snuggling in front of the fireplace. The home is in the heart of bluff country making even the drive to the rental enjoyable. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Very comfortable, modern home was perfect for three fiftysomething friends. We enjoyed the beautiful deck on warm October afternoons as well as on starry nights. Kitchen has everything you need to feel right at home. Large comfy bathroom has great steam shower and tub. Close to town yet very quiet. Beautiful views. Jan and Jesse very helpful with minor matters such as self-check-in, gas fireplace use, etc.

Prefect balance of traditional, modern, romance, comfort, spirituality, creativity, nature, conveniences, and seclusion. Jane and Jesse have clearly poured themselves into creating a charming oasis to share in Southeastern, MN. Lanesboro, although small has a little of something to offer just about anyone, it's really a gem. The people of the town are about as genuine as they come, and the hosts if this property are no exception... Eager to help with any needs, although we were hard pressed to find any, the bases were already covered. All of that said, and still haven't mentioned the steam room shower! Not your typical b&b or rental situation. The property care takers live in a cute little cottage next door. They certainly made the place look nice, and during our stay, we wouldn't have even known there was somebody within a mile. The sun rises over the unique rustic steel grate porch, and not coincidentally the wrap around windows on the second floor. The closest property you can see from there is separated by a handful of farms trees and a small valley between the two hills the houses are planted on. I could go on and on about this property, but I am afraid it'll be booked solid the next time my love and I are on need of a romantic getaway.

We had a fantastic girls' weekend at Jane and Jesse's place. It was a great location - secluded and quiet, yet very close to Lanesboro (about a 5 minute drive). The view of the surrounding countryside was lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings and watching the fireflies. The house was equipped with everything we needed to cook a few meals, relax and catch up on sleep. We'd be happy to stay again on another trip to the area!

A perfect getaway for anyone tired of the hotels surrounding the Mayo Clinic, just under an hour away. It's a warm, open space. The steam room is wonderful. Highly recommended.

The Zen house was great- especially quiet, a very cool space, and best of all was the stars! Being from the city we don't see them much, but what an amazing view this house has! Definitely recommend a stay here!

Not a great stay in Whalan. Neighborhood had some run down houses next door and a gas station that had people coming and going constantly. There is no wifi provided and no 4G service at all. You will need to bring your own towels as none are provided. There was a bad, almost mildew kind of smell upon entering.

Super clean. Quiet! Comfy. Linda was easy to work with. Couldn't be much closer to bike trail. Wonderful deck and patio for outdoor space as well. Only ding was that no bath towels were provided.

Wonderful farm in southern Minnesota. Quiet, peaceful location. Martha made me feel very welcome. There were fresh eggs and butter in the fridge and homemade muffins. The home was very clean and well appointed. Everything you need to make you feel right at home. If you like dogs, cats and chickens, you will love this place.

We felt so at home at this place. We arrived on a beautiful fall day and were surprised to have a fresh soda bread awaiting us. Martha greeted us and showed us around and made sure that we knew how to get in touch with her if we needed anything. Our granddaughters loved to rake leaves into a pile and then jump in them. The animals were a real plus for the city folks who seldom get a taste of the farm life. Oh...and I can't forget the baby kittens. the loft in the barn was a great area for the girls to run and play. The house was really nice with plenty of room for us to enjoy each others company. Already planning for next fall.

Ariel did a great job of making me feel completely welcome throughout my two-week stay in her quiet neighborhood of Rochester. MN. The living space was clean and comfortable (and well air-conditioned in the middle of summer!), and Ariel generously supplied plenty of bottled water for the basement bedroom's small, convenient fridge. Next to the bedroom, the bathroom is well-appointed, with lots of hot water in the roomy shower. Ariel and her husband (whose dogs are awfully cute, by the way) respected my privacy at every level. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the arrangement. Thanks, Ariel!

This was an amazing experience. The property is exactly as it was described and exceeded our expectations! It was well supplied, conveniently located to Mayo, cute and homey. By our 2nd day there we started to feel at home. I should note the blankets in this home are killer! This was our 1st experience air bnb and we fear that we are spoiled rotten. Our trip was long, traveled from Alaska. What a welcome place to land. Everything we need was close by. Driving was great. Lovely town. The house was just perfect. So glad we didn't fall for the "stay close to the mayo clinic". We had everything we needed. The backyard was a godsend. Watching the birds and bunnies was the mental health moments a person caring for someone else needs. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Enjoyed watching the little kids practice soccer at the school. I will never stay in a hotel again. Thank you Teresa, I would love to stay here again.

My wife and I were in Rochester down from Alaska for her out patient surgery and Teresa's place was perfect for a few days while she recuperated. The house is in a very convenient location to the Mayo Clinic on the south end of Rochester and also close to groceries and other other stores, restaurants etc. The house is great and our favorite part was the relaxing backyard that backs up to an elementary school--so has the added bonus of a playground after school if you are traveling with kids. Her place is also right near a number of paved nature and bike trails and a city dog park! Last but not least, Teresa was wonderful to work with, very responsive to our questions and accommodating when our departure date changed. We highly recommend this place to couples and families traveling with kids who are looking for a relaxing home in a quiet neighborhood.

We really enjoy Teresa's place. It was only around 10 minute ride to the mayo clinic. The street was quiet and neat. The small backyard was a wonderful break at the end of the day. The large double garage fit our large rental car very well. Will definitely contact Teresa again for another stay.

Lovely apartment, very aesthetically pleasing. Furniture was very comfortable, and the stay was, overall, a quality experience. Apartment showed signs that it had not been used and lacked toilet paper, but this was a minor inconvenience.

We planned a last minute trip up to Rochester to visit my father. Zuhier was accommodating and met us to exchange keys. The place was nice and building quiet. There were no towels and limited dishes but it was just what we needed for a quick overnight visit. I would book again.

I made arrangements with Zuhier two days prior to check in, and we agreed on a check in time. On check-in day, I arrived at the location and called Zuhier, but he was surprised that we were there. He then had his friend call us and offer us a "nice two bedroom two bathroom apartment in downtown Rochester." According to Zuhier's friend, Zuhier was out of town and the original apartment was not ready for guests. We went to the new place, and it smelled like smoke, the WiFi stopped working shortly after we got there, and the carpet was very dirty. The friend acted as though this was no big deal and that we were getting exactly what we paid for. I was very disappointed and would not book with Zuhier again.

As soon as we walked into this lovely little house it was like we had come home. It's so cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. It's very easy to get into downtown and to anything you may need or want. My buddy and I had a good stay at Travis' place during our motorcycle trip through the area. It was very clean and tidy throughout the home. Very comfortable place for a couple of fellas to flop down and rest their heads. The Playstation equipped with Netflix was a nice addition. There's nothing to do anywhere in the vicinity, but if you're just passing through and you need a spacious place to rest and relax, this is a very good value.

Travis was an awesome host during my stay. He was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, he even offered ideas on places to go eat. The house itself was great, very comfortable and spacious, very clean. Location was great really close to the Medical Center. I would totally stay here again.
