What a beautiful house!! Monica was the perfect host even with no time to prepare... We found her last minute after struggling to find any rooms at b&bs for miles. Monica dropped everything and welcomed us in. We went from thinking we'd be sleeping in the car, to having a luxury nights accommodation. Everyone in our party had a great night sleep. In the morning Monica couldn't be there to great us, but had left us a note in the kitchen titled ' Good morning weary travellers'- apologising for not being there and explaining that her niece Sarah would arrive shortly to make sure we had everything we needed and to help ourselves to the lovely spread of cereals, toast, fruit and bagels she'd left out for us! One of the best places we stayed on our holiday and would definitely return. Thank you again Monica :)

What a stunning home this lady has!! Thank you Monica for sharing it with us. We booked at the very last min and she was able to accomadate us all, we had 3 bedrooms and bathroom. The rooms where very spacious and the beds were heaven. Beautiful view and surroundings nice big back garden for the children to play in. The host Monica is a lovely lady an made us very welcome my little boy found a new friend

Monica was so kind to stay up super late awaiting our arrival. Her place is super nice and she has the cutest two little dogs. Breakfast was great and the room was very large and comfortable. 5 stars all the way!

We had a wonderful 4-day stay with Monica. She is a gracious hostess and made us feel very welcome. It's really a B&B more than a house or room to rent. We had 3 bedrooms and a bath in the hall. The beds were incredibly comfortable, especially for Europe! The house is pristine, traditional in style but build recently so everything (plumbing!) is modern. There's a very pleasant patio and garden. Breakfast was fabulous–the kids called it the highlight of the trip. The sheets were IRONED. 'Nuff said. The house is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but it's super easy to get to from the airport (~40 mins) and accessible to the great sights of the Boyne Valley–go to Trim Castle and Newgrange. Our only complaint is that the connectivity is sloooow...

Monica went above and beyond for our stay in Meath. We were in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day and decided to stay in the country as it was more affordable for the weekend. She welcomed us into her beautiful home, which was clean and spacious. She made us feel comfortable, and made herself available and easily accessible at all times, and if she wasn't there, she made arrangements. I casually mentioned that I have always wanted to meet some sheep (just a dream of mine), and the next day she arranged for her sister to take us to their family friend's farm since she was out that day. Her sister kindly took us around, and the owners of the farm were extraordinary and treated us like their own guests. Her hospitality was incredible and honestly made the trip one of a kind. I definitely recommend staying with Monica for an unforgettable experience in Ireland!

We had the most amazing possible experience anyone could in Ireland thanks to this house and host Niall. ( Friends we made here even said so!) This house is straight out of a fairy tale or the novel Secret Garden. It is old - not a shiny new hotel so don't expect that. Yet the looks are deceiving. The house is incredibly updated and so many amazing new things put in. It is in the country and such a peaceful escape. And Niall! Wow. From minute one he had food in the fridge ( and things he knew our 6 kids would eat!), went into town to fix a cell phone issue for us, asked constantly if there was anything we needed, responded within MINUTES of any questions or needs that came up...... it was like having a good friend lead you thru the journey. The house has so much space and is just the most wonderful part of our visit to Ireland. So much so we cancelled 3 days in Rome to stay here the last 3 of our holiday! This is an oasis, a comfortable, historic, beautiful work of art. We will be back!!!!!

Such a beautiful house! Our huge family booked in so we could all spend Christmas under one roof. Connie was so helpful, and Niall gave us a very warm welcome. Would definitely recommend this place for family reunions or getaways!

Great weekend break for families.

A group of twelve of us spent last weekend in Lionsden, Longwood. The house was easy to find and the location is stunning. We were greeted by cattle and sheep as we drove through the gates, which added to the charm of the house. The house itself was clean, well maintained and even better than the pictures. It has so much character and the dining room is beautiful (it would be perfect for a murder mystery weekend!) We were a bit worried that such a big old house would be cold in November, but the heating and the wood stove kept us nice and cosy. From the outset and throughout the stay, the hosts were helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend Lionsden to all and hope to return again next year.

We were a party of 12 ranging from 8 months to 70 and Lionsden catered perfectly for us all. It was a great setting for our family gathering. This house is grand yet very comfortable, it's history is fascinating as is the mammoth restoration that has taken place. There are lots of sleeping options, the cosy kids bedroom was a particular hit with its bunkbeds. On a practical note the baby monitors worked between rooms without a problem. Our kids had a ball running the corridors and playing with the lovely selection of toys that were new to them and therefore brilliant! They were also kept busy exploring outside, walking to the 'fairy castle' up the hill, climbing trees and playing on the swing. Magical. It took us the first 24 hours to get the place really warmed up, serious January frost meant the first night was a bit chilly but after that the whole house was surprisingly toasty. (Bring hot water bottles if staying in Winter!) The kitchen is very well equipped and the Aga is another charming feature. Every night we cooked up a storm, dining by candle light at the big table in the drawing room. The stove in this room in particular creates a lovely atmosphere and there was plenty of wood to keep it going. At only 45 minutes from our Dublin home we felt this was a great location for all our families to meet. We never left the grounds other than to go to the nearby village of Longwood to shop in the decent size supermarket. There was a pub there but we never made it out for a pint, maybe next time! Our hosts were very attentive from start to finish. Having access to a special home like this is just what AirB&B is all about.

they did all they could to make the house suitable for our needs and it was all perfect, much appreciated by us, excellent hosts with an excellent property. the house is huge, can accommodate a large group, the kitchen is very well equipped, more than enough bathrooms, massive grounds that are great for exploring in a beautiful secluded area. we will definitely be back! thanks again :)

Monica was such a great host - she even came down to the village to meet us when we got lost so she could guide us back to her house. Her home is lovely, with big bedrooms, a super bathroom and shower - including a lovely old claw foot tub. Her yard/garden is spectacular. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to sit out there, but would be a wonderful place for an evening drink or afternoon tea. She was so hospitable, fortifying us with tea and biscuits when we arrived, and providing a great breakfast. The Monastery Inn just 3 minutes up the road has good pub food, and the best seafood chowder I've tasted in a long time! Highly recommend her to anyone staying in County Meath

A lovely house very convinient for our first day in Ireland, close to Dublin and Galway. Monica was an excellent host, we felt very confortable by her, and there is a very nice restaurant nearby

We had a fantastic stay with Monica at the start of our trip to Ireland. Before hand communication was great and Monica collected us from the nearest town which was much appreciated! The house itself is incredibly beauitful and our rooms were all very spacious, gorgeous and *incredibly* clean. As a host Monica couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating, she did everything she could to make our stay as lovely as possible, including a lovely cooked breakfast early enough for us to get to our next stop in load's of time. My friends and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Ireland in the (hopefully) near future!

we had a delightful stay with Monica as she could not have been more welcoming. Her home is warm and spacious. The beds are the most comfortable and the bathroom large and we had lovely organic porridge for breakfast. Monica is so well placed for all of us arriving in Dublin airport and travelling to the west. It is the perfact stopping off place after leaving Dublin to relax and draw breath after the flight. Monica was vary helpful as we had to check in at a starnge time and it was no problem for Monica. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Monica has a nice and tidy home. Large bedroom . She is most helpfull, brought us back to the royal canal to continue our walk.

I stayed one night and the accommodation was perfect for me. Margaret and Peter were very friendly and ideal hosts. After a great breakfast and a sandwich for the road I left set up for the day. If you stay here be sure and check out Margaret's home made beetroot chutney.

I know the area well and the house was therefore perfect for a family stay visiting around the area. Access was straightforward and it was nice to find some essentials in the fridge and cut flowers from the lovely garden round the house.

What an experience ! Everything was perfect. The rooms were as spotless as they look on the pictures. The mattresses and pillows are as comfortable as foamy clouds. Everything is spacious, including the bathroom. Outside is the peaceful countryside. We had a warm welcome from Gabrielle even though we arrived pretty late at night. The next morning, we enjoyed a nice breakfast (with the farm's milk) and met with the rest of the family, who were attentive to our every need, serious indeed about providing the best experience. They are approachable and easy-going, too ! We highly recommend stopping by their farm. This is simply our best Air Bnb to date. And the price to service ratio is clearly unbeatable ! In fact, the only downside is that our tight schedule didn't allow us to stay one more night :)

We were greeted with a warm cup of tea and biscuits on arrival, and were kindly showed around the farm by our hosts. The room was lovely and everything was spotless and comfortable. My dad and I really enjoyed our short stay, and all the great conversation. We would highly recommend this home to anyone!

We stopped over for a night and slept very well. It is a very nice house and the room is big and clean. Gabrielle is a relly nice host and she helped us alot. The breakfast was excellent.

Ever wondered where your dairies come from? Or do you need a nice place to stay with supernice hosts who are still interested in you instead of seeing you as an essential part of their business model. Come here. We had the warmest Air BnB - welcome since long and a great time „by the fireplace“ before we fell in our well prepared cushions. Super-clean, super-professional and caring. Five Stars.

We could not have not had a better experience: our hosts were fantastic, considerate, thoughtful, helpful, kind and couldn't have done more to make our stay enjoyable. It felt like home and nothing was too much trouble. Our son had great fun on a farm and was invited to get involved with the daily tasks. The amenities are excellent and the whole experience was so relaxing. There is lots to see and do in the locality and it is easy to drive into Dublin and other places of interest. We would love to come back soon!

Great house for our family. Beds were very comfortable, everything worked, and we were very glad that we stayed at David's house! The fact that it was pet frienly helped a lot and saved us a fair bit of change in kennel fees. The house is less than 10 minutes from a Tesco, Aldi and Lidl. There is a local quick-shop about two minutes away along with petrol. Would we stay here again? YES!

The deal has been excellent, excellent. The hosts and their parents are very friendly. The place is perfect for relaxing. The neighbors are very sociable and worry assist you and your integration. We invite their activities and they like to participate in them.

The arrival was a bit 'difficult, it would be better to include in the description of the house also the location, Derrinturn. The father and mother of Dave were very welcoming illustrandoci on the great house. The neighborhood is very quiet and the country has all the basic necessities. The house for two is even exaggerated, you see the imprint of the family.

David's house was lovely, and exactly as described in the listing, and by the other reviewers. The house has 4 separate bedrooms and can easily sleep 4-8 guests. The Family Room, Dining Area, and Kitchen area was especially cozy and comfortable, and allowed for a very relaxing stay.

Very comfortable and very roomy accommodation. The host was not there but his parents were very friendly and welcoming. Good place to stay with easy access to Dublin, about 50 mins drive.

Our family had a relaxing time at David's home. It was quiet and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the fluffiness of the comforters were a delight. The central heating system was easy to use and worked really well. The wifi also worked very well. And, we had fun with the monopoly game. Enjoyed the 15 minute walk into the nearby local stores, where we bought some Irish beef and lamb; very good. And, we had driven to the Wicklow mountain area. Had a wonderful time. It was good that it was less than 2 hours from the house. Special thanks to his kind parents who helped us find the house and showed us all the necessary details. And, thanks again for the milk!;)

David s house was very spacious and comfortable for a family of five. We were welcomed by David s parents who were very helpful. Cadbury is a peaceful village and we were able to visit lots of sights ,Trim village , glendalough, powerscourt estate and of course the sights of Dublin in four days. We very much enjoyed our stay! Mark was a wonderful host and responded quickly with all communication. He had plenty of recommendations for what to do in the area. For our first night he prepared a fantastic meal for the 9 of us. It was delicious! The house is very spacious and clean, beds comfy.

Mark was an excellent host! He helped us so much getting to his place after we encountered some issues with our travels. The house was very large and accommodating.

The perfect house to stay if you are a large group looking for a quiet and cosy place to have a good time at fireplace. Bring your board games and enjoy the two great living rooms.

We stayed with Mark for a fantastic 4 days, the hospitality was outstanding and the food was excellant, be assured we will visit again. It's not the 'Ritz' but who wants that sort of accomodation when there is open wood fires and a comfortable atmosphere, Mark makes you feel at home from the minute he greets you at the door, as if he's known you for years.

Mark is a remarkable host who greeted us most warmly despite the fact that our arrival was at an ungodly hour. His geniality, hospitality and generosity were far beyond anything we expected and his sense of fun was infectious. He made our whole stay truly delightful and we would recommend his property unhesitatingly.

Rathcam Organic Farm and Diana are worth your driving off your route to meet, to enjoy. It is a beautiful old manse, full of character, full of Diana's passion and dedication to organic farming. The room and bathroom were immaculate, a sumptuous organic breakfast in the conservatory with freshly-picked seasonal fruit and a wonderful menagerie of animals to enjoy. We'd return in a heartbeat, highly recommend.

We enjoyed our brief stay and the old world, quaint charm of Rathcam, in a beautiful, peaceful country setting. Diana made us feel welcome and served a nourishing breakfast tailored to our preferences.

We were given a very warm welcome. Diana provided two spotless stables for our ponies. Our rooms were immaculate and comfortable. We found the location to be a little remote but the farm and surrounding area is gorgeous.

We have a wonderful experience there even if short. She and her family are really welcoming and we felt at home since the first moment we arrived. Unfortunately we stayed there only one night but we hope to come back.

The house was amazing! It was exactly what we were looking for. Conal was a very warm host, very accommodating, he even organised us breakfast. Excellent communication, couldn't ask for a better host.

Great spacious house for a family. The kids enjoyed playing pool. Had weather permitted, outdoor space was great as play area and/ barbecue.

Conal's place was really great, one of the nicest homes myself and my friends have ever stayed in, absolutely huge, has everything you need, and was really tidy. Conal was a great host and if I was staying in the area again I'd definitely stay here as my first choice, really nice stay, thanks to Conal who was very helpful with everything!

The host Conal was very quick responding to my messages. He even rushed back for my arrival (Thanks Conal!). He was also quite considerate and bought some breakfast for us. What I like the most about this house is the fact that it's full of books covering various categories and has a mini gym with a pool table. So there's always something interesting to do. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Conal was very easy to organise this trip with and had the place spotless for us. He left us to our own devices but was on the other end of the phone whenever we needed him. The house is fab, and so big. We had a group of 8 and there was loads of room for everyone.

Helen's house is a lovely old farmhouse. It's a very quaint old country location. Wonderful breakfast is a must! We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice stay away from the city.

Our stay with Helen was absolutely first class. I cannot recommend staying with Helen enough. We arrived at 11:30pm and the reception we received was wonderful - treated to a tour and some tea and fresh scones. We couldn't believe our luck! For such a reasonably priced b&b the quality of stay was astounding. The location is enchanting, the food was amazing (Helen accommodated me last minute when I had forgotten to say that I was veggie!) and Helen herself a top quality and experienced hostess with a warm and welcoming personality :)

We loved staying at Helen's beautiful home! We received a very warm welcome, and tips on where to go to eat (enjoyed some very tasty food at the local pub in Summerhill). Helen had a fire waiting for us when we got back which was so lovely! The bed was incredibly comfortable. Short 40 minute drive to the airport makes this a perfect place to end your holiday in Ireland, and we ended our trip on a high because of staying with Helen. Definitely recommend!!

A wonderful old house with lots of character. Beautiful sitting room with a nice fire. Lots of friendly farm animals around. Helen cooked us a delicious full Irish breakfast in her charming kitchen. A great experience all around!

My wife and Ioved staying at helen's home in Summerhill. We had booked a 10 hour flight from the US to Dublin, and knew we would be tired so rather than staying in Dublin we chose to stay at ther home, well outside the city. We were looking for quiet, scenic, relaxing, affordable lodging and we found it with Helen. Many guests write that they had such a nice time they wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We went to the next level and had such a great time that we have already booked to stay with Helen again once we return to Dublin area before our flight home. All communicaiton with Helen went well. She met us on arrival with a pot of tea, scones, and a warm fire in the fireplace. We enjoyed her filling Irish breakfasts during our stay. Helen explained that the two bathrooms for our use were down a half-flight of stairs and this never presented a problem for us. We stayed five nights and used her home as a starting point to explore the Trim castle, the Newgrange monuments, for a day trip to Dublin and more. On some nights there was another couple staying there, and other times we were the only guests - but we never heard anyone else in this great, quiet house. We let Helen know we would be coming home late the day we went into Dublin, and when we returned home we found a fire lit and ready for us. This is not a hotel but weren't looking for a hotel and it only added to the eperience knowing that Helen had a group of guests taking horse-riding lessons in the nearby facility. She gave us great recommendations about where to go, what to see, where to eat and more. You will want a car if you stay here, and the roads are a bit to narrow for walking into town in a relaxing manner. And when we went to Dublin, we decided to drive to the local trans station and park there before taking the train in and back from Dublin.
