Rural RetreatQuiet and isolated

Situated in the shadow of the South Downs National Park on a small rural road with hardly any neighbours our charming cottage is a great place from which to explore the unspoiled open countryside and its many footpaths around us. The nearest street light is two miles away. Owls, deer and the occasional nightingale are the only sounds in the middle of the night The cottage décor is fresh and modern with plenty of parking and a small decking area. Pets are allowed by agreement, email us to ask.

Self-contained with its own entrance and parking bay, this is perfect for a country getaway. The village, at the foot of the South Downs, is ideal for walking and cycling and has an award-winning pub and lovely cafés. For more excitement, Brighton. Lewes and Glyndebourne are all around 20 minutes away and London less than an hour. Hassocks has direct trains to the capital and Brighton, and is a five-minute taxi ride. The annex is a detached building with a key safe and separate entrance situated in a very quiet part of the historic county town of Lewes. There is very little passing traffic and as we’re on the outskirts it’s about a 20 mins walk to the centre of the town but are very close to the South Downs, a 5 minute walk away and the gateway to the South Down way and the National Park. (Smoking only allowed outside) Close to Brighton and good access to public transport and a main line to London.
